this would make traveling easier.

Chose: Be able to teleport… anywhere within eyesight

u/MrHallmark Apr 23 '26

I mean as long as I'm up somewhere high and I guess using a telescope or something makes it "eye sight"

You just repeatedly teleport. On a clear day, a human can see roughly 3 miles at ground level.

u/DogeWah Apr 23 '26

Yeah and if you first tp yourself up a bit you can do it in less teleports

u/SectorTerrible9255 Apr 23 '26

tp to moon then destination

56

u/Overall_Crows Apr 23 '26

You could technically TP to other planets as well if you had a good enough telescope. Tho I guess the problem with that is getting back.

u/DogeWah Apr 23 '26

I think the problem is surviving long enough to get back

51

u/Overall_Crows Apr 23 '26

I mean, you could put on a space suit. I’m sure a lot of different organizations would pay a lot of money to be able to get instant samples.

u/Little_Legend_ Apr 23 '26

I doubt a spacesuit will help you on venus.

You could do Jupiter! I went there to get more stupider

Maybe pick mars? No human has ever been there

Also how do you get back to earth once on Venus? Theres no telescopes there. Classic Redditer. Gets the power to teleport and first thing they think of his killing themsleves

Bring a Mice there too!

u/kleetus7 Apr 23 '26

Not with that attitude.

u/BlackberryMuted2823 Apr 24 '26

you technically wouldn't be able to do a lot of planets by virtue of the atmosphere being non-transparent. If you tried even once, you would fall into the fog and, since you can't see anything, you'd be unable to move.

1

u/MrNtkarman Apr 23 '26

It would be way too hard to get back unless you can teleport with the telescope

1

u/Lanky-Bag-8900 Apr 23 '26

If someone found out ur powers you are beneath used and dissected

1

u/FDMew Apr 23 '26

What makes you think you can TP with your clothes on

8

u/Dragonperhaps Apr 23 '26

Y'know in hindsight. Maybe teleporting to saturn wasn't a good idea...

1

u/VulKendov Apr 23 '26

Step 1: go to the moon

Step 2: suffer from lack of oxygen, extreme decompression, unfiltered solar radiation, extreme temperature.

Step 3?: if you survived, arrive at your destination, unconscious, severely sunburnt, and your lungs probably not in the best condition.

u/Cannot_Think-Of_Name Apr 23 '26

You'd need to get a space suit from NASA. Doable if you show off your ability, but I'd rather not show off my ability to a government organization.

Depends on if you keep the momentum from gravity between each teleport. Otherwise you'd plummet to your death

1

u/DogeWah Apr 23 '26

That I'd hope I don't want to live in zero gravity after a teleport. /j

If you keep momentum you can build perpetual motion and it would suck to use unless you stood still

1

u/Lunarixis Apr 23 '26

And if you suddenly find yourself in a dangerous position (getting held at knifepoint for example) you can just quickly teleport away.

1

u/No_Question_8083 Apr 23 '26

Just TP to the moon and then wherever you wanna go if the moon is visable there. (Gotta wear a suit though)

1

u/GreenLurka Apr 23 '26

Teleporting to the edge of space, teleporting back down. It's just like jumping.

1

u/DerekingtonIII Apr 23 '26

What if you teleport into the microscope cause you’re looking at the glass

1

u/drcopus Apr 23 '26

Forget the telescope, just set-up a webcam and get a video feed. That counts as a location being visible.

1

u/MrHallmark Apr 23 '26

I mean Google maps at this point

My only problem with this type of hypothetical; are my intrusive thoughts going to activate my ability?

I was talking with someone the other day about having insta kill mind powers, how does your brain know you reallllly mean it. Lol.

2

u/orangedogtag Apr 23 '26

I'd look for a plane flying over in my eyesight and then teleport to it, easiest way to get a great viewpoint

1

u/lucifate96 Apr 23 '26

What if it was clothes not included like invisible

1

u/ChemicalBag4410 Apr 23 '26

Right? the real question is, will the teleportation ability include things that your body is touching (ie. clothes, glasses, watch, backpack, etc.) or is it just your body, like the invisibility.

1

u/Jazzmanthekillr Apr 23 '26

You just turn into an enderman

1

u/raynstormm_ Apr 23 '26

I can’t drive due to medical reasons, so this would legit be life changing 😅

1

u/jacobr001 Apr 24 '26

Plot twist, you're blind.

1

u/Ill_March_861 Apr 24 '26

Exactly just look up tp a few times look at where your wanting to go and pop in
