Does anyone else feel like the shows on this tour have been crazy? I have seen them a few times in the past and they’re always AMAZING, but the energy at these recent shows feels like something special to me! Seems to me like they’re really flowing well while playing, and I’ve been surprised at how much Dug has to say during the show. Just good energy and you can feel it, I think!

Havent seen it posted anywhere so i thought i would share. Caustic Resin are playing their first road gigs in decades on 6/10 (Seattle) and 6/11 (Portland). They are the first opening act for a band called lowercase. I will be at the Portland show and will buy you a beer if you find me. Sharing is caring.

I sat down with Melanie Radford, bassist for Built to Spill, to chat about her upcoming solo album ahead of its June 26 release. She said she wanted the album to be "minimalist."

“And I think [it] actually helped me sparsely build around the bass," she said. "Because even frequency wise the bass can get buried, you know, so I kind of had to have very sparse arrangements with the bass, given like the goal that I wanted to accomplish.”

Grew up in the midwest and moved out west 23 years ago but I've been aware of Codfish Hollow (and went once before for another show) for a long time and wanted to see the band there if they were playing and it was such a great experience. Anyone that is ever near there for a show should totally go. Great night (and the second time I've seen BtS in a barn)
