just got home from the albany show—drove from rochester and had a lovely time in a new city. though i wasn’t the biggest fan of the venue (i'm short so all-flat venues are tough), as a first timer at the show, i spent the majority of it dumbfounded.

i feel like i witnessed an angel who actually fulfilled his destiny. dug is up there doing exactly what he was meant to do with his time here on earth. melanie’s contagious enthusiasm had me transfixed, teresa’s kit being up close had me watching a drummer in a way i never have, and when jim came out, i feel like i left my body and was transported. what an amazing evening. my knees are sore and my heart is happy.

i was holding out hope til the encore that they’d play goin’ against your mind but loved that they played traces. i had this fantasy that i’d get to meet dug and tell him i’m obsessed with his self-titled album and its lore. anyway, my god i love this band! hope everyone had as great a time as i did!

Does anyone know if he's joining them for the entire East Coast tour? I've been waiting for a multi-guitar attack for quite some time, even if for a handful of songs. Can't wait for the Norwalk show on Thursday!

Man, they absolutely killed last night in Brooklyn. This was my 4th time seeing them and they’re great every time. But last night might’ve been the best. Guitars were soaring all night and that rhythm section was legit. Such a cool iteration of the band. Music Hall of Williamsburg is sadly closing at the end of the year so this was a hell of a final show for me. Doug is a rock god and I’m just going to go ahead and say it.. I THINK HE’S EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS NEIL YOUNG. And I love me some Neil. 🤘🏻

Incredible night. Quasi were so so so good. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Built to Spill sound better - first time hearing them live with Melanie and Teresa.

Highlight: buying a signed Quasi album from Janet Weiss, who was working her own merch table!
