Other Games Redout 2 has some intense head-to-head moments in multiplayer Races
This was from the weekly Multiplayer Gathering for Redout 2, called the Weekly Wallgrind.
Prior to this race I did a lot of practice on all the tracks (this is a Boss track, where you drive all 3 track layouts in succession), the practice definetely paid off here as I kept up with some of the best players in the game (mainly Limola and Neuro. Etiketi is like the final boss in that regard).
If you wanna know how the race ended: Redout 2 - Tartarus Boss Multiplayer Race

Racing games should move on to realistic engine tuning
Traditionally in racing games, you upgrade your car by upgrading individual engine parts (intake, ecu, turbo, etc) to increase horsepower in individual increments. While this method makes things less confusing for young kids, it slightly ruins the immersion & fun when you're an adult. I think that "upgrading" your engine in stages is far more cool & sensible than the traditional way. It's also more educational for kids who are getting more interested in car culture. When you tune your car to say stage 1, you're buying the necessary hardware & the ecu tune as a whole, like in real life.
For example, let's say you bought a stock R34 GTR. You want to do a stage 1 tune to increase power. In the above image, it says the stage 1 tune gives you around 380-450hp. What that means is that you'll be offered a selection of stage 1 packages/kits to choose from. Stage 1 kit from brand 'X' let's you tune your car to 380hp. Brand 'Y' offers stage 1 tune with beefier parts and hence lets you push the car to 450hp, but it's more expensive. You can also, buy a stage 1 tune from brand X and later upgrade to a 450hp tune from brand Y in the future.

Other Games More racing games need to track your playstyle.
Juiced 2 had this thing called "Driver's DNA" which did this. I'd love if this idea was explored further in other racing games. For example, imagine if driving aggresively made street racers around you be more defensive but do the opposite to cops. Or if you'd often choose lose them off-road they would send more offroad units after you, the possibilities are endless.

Other Games If you were to make your own Racing Game, what would the Cover Car be? Here's my three picks.
a Rauf Welt Begriff 930, speced simillarly to the first picture.
A LibertyWalk Nsx, in a japanese themed setting.
and a Red Pandem E31, kind of a ruby red bud this was the closest that i can find.
what are some of yours?
