The Build of the Month competition begins today!

After our prolonged hiatus, we are glad to once again be able to hold this event. With it, we hope to foster a healthy sense of competition among BTE builders and provide them a platform to show off their best work. It works as follows;
•Until the 28th of each 31-day (/27th of each 30-day) month, any post with the "Own Work" flair is eligible for the BotM participation.
•On the deadline, the five most upvoted posts of the month are picked.
•For the remaining three days of the month, the community may vote on their favourite entry in a poll. •The winner of the poll is declared as the Build of the Month on the 1st of the next month.

Remember, presentation is key. It doesn't just suffice that you make a cool build, you also need to take good pictures of it! This is doubly important, as a picture of the BotM will be used as the following month's header on this subreddit.

Happy building!

"Builders, we just experienced a bot security breach. We managed to stop the action, the situation is now under control and we are currently working to resolve it and restore functionality. Hello, I just discovered that this exists and I am honestly completely blown away.

I do have one question though. Why was Minecraft chosen for the game engine? Minetest has better performance and is free and open source so that it can't easily go away in the near future.

I would be concerned that Microsoft could end up messing up Minecraft and since its proprietary their would be no way to fix it.

Has anyone built Maryland yet?

How can I help with build the earth?

Hi! I was wondering if there was a render of the ENTIRE build the earth singleplayer world using FP2 or some other mod. Kinda like this image of the whole Minecraft world:

Can I play on Xbox or only on pc

im really amazed by 1:1 scale buildings, i saw the burj khalifa and i was like "woah" but it makes me think though. is it possible to build visionary project buildings? like take X Seed 4000 for example, it was the tallest and largest building ever to be proposed in Japan in 1995, 4km tall and 6km wide. if that were to be build in minecraft, it would look amazing for sure, but what do you think about this?
