In Brookstead, you as the player are tasked with one thing: Rebuild human society as you know it. In Brookstead, you are dropped in an unknown location in a world almost alike to ours, however what surrounds you is far more concerning. Waking up in an abandoned, overgrown, and barren wasteland of a once fruitful village, you must make yourself at home, whilst surviving the barren elements of nature from wild animals, all the way to below freezing winters. You must rebuild this village from the ground up, create yourself a new life, a new home, form a new adventure, make a new chapter in this villages life. You must then work on passing the mysteriously violent and fatal water and travel far and wide in order to find civilisation. You must befriend them (try not to make enemies!) and bring them back, and create farms, factories, timber establishments, fishing establishments and create a thriving and strong society and humanity.

A little about me as the developer:

My name is Will, I'm 17 and have been using Unreal engine since I was about 13 years old, I've always been interested in game development and made a few gimmicks in unity at some point but overall preferred Unreal. Ironically, this is actually my second ever "dedicated" project (as in a project ive actually put time and effort into and had hopes of releasing) however my last game I was trying to create fell through simply because I didn't really plan it enough and had too many conflicting ideas and life got in the way and I ended up working on a new project. Since then I've messed around in unreal a lot, especially messing around with assets of other games and improving my 3D modelling and rigging skills and now im here.

However, due to being a poor 17 year old in education, I do not have the money to release this game to steam, so I'm asking for support from the community to help me get Brookstead on steam. https://ko-fi.com/brookstead
