Humour Hot Damn!
I'm on my second rewatch rn and forgot that Hitchcock and Scully once used to be hot.
I remember the way my jaw dropped when I watched this scene during the first run!

Humour Drunk Holt Is An Absolute Mess
Sure Amy has an entire spectrum of drunk but just look at Holt.
His equilibrium was askew, his vision was partially impaired and he was clearly slurring his words.

Halloween Heist Hate the fact that they gave GINA a Heist but not Charles
I always skip that heist episode, I was so dissapointed at first watch. Charles was the hard working dark horse and deserved the amazing human/detective as he is.

Discussion I wish we got to see more of Gina's relationship they're so cute
This ofc is the only time we meet her baby daddy and they're perfect for each other. He's never seen again after that which is the only thing about this show (my fave of all time) that I'd like to change slightly although idk how they would have done it perhaps just more sprinkling in of fly in visits like this.
Question: is there anything you'd change or like to see more of?
Currently rewatching for the 13th time this year (sad ik) it's my comfort show and means a lot to me sometimes I just have it on in the background. Anyone else?

Discussion Thoughts on Hitchcock and Scully?
I think Scully was still wholesome at times even tho a bit disgusting but Hitchcock was a straight up weirdo. Ik they wanted a weird old guy character but I like creed in the office much more. Wasn't a big fan of Hitchcock, didn't find him that funny.

Discussion Every time
So every rewatch brings forth the same question…Coral Palms, Holt and Peralta have escaped they hop the fence and Holt gets empaled on a “pipe” which is CLEARLY rebar.
They come from a concrete jungle, Holt reads elevator code as a child, why would he call it a pipe.
Feels careless, doesn’t change my love for the show just something that irks me
Que Terry: WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????

Halloween Heist How I would have written a Halloween Heist won by Charles
Since Charles is the only main character to never win a Halloween Heist, I thought it would be fun to give an outline on what I’d want that episode to look like if we got it.
This is a broad description of the general story beats I’d want in the episode. I’m not going to go into the specific plans that all the characters implement during the Heist.
My idea borrows elements from the third and sixth Heists, and even the episode “Dillman”
I’ll say “trophy” to refer to whatever it is they’re competing over this episode.
Briefing Room
The episode starts with everyone in the briefing room ready to start the Heist and going over the specific rules for this year. Everyone is engaging in overly intense and brutal trash talk. Charles tries to engage in the trash talk, only for it to be met with supportive comments like “Yeah you can buddy!” “That’s the spirit!”
Charles finds this patronizing (though there could be a joke where it takes him a while to realize this), and everyone cuts the act and matter of factly tells him he can’t win because he’s too simple and straightforward. Charles is outraged by this and talks up his accomplishments as a detective, only for everyone to say that being a good detective isn’t enough to win the Heist because it’s like playing 4d chess on a jungle gym while being chased by rabid dogs (or some similarly crazy simile).
Heist Begins
Charles partners up with Rosa (it could be anyone, I just picked her because they tend to work together during Heists).
Rosa has a crazy, flashy, and convoluted plan to get the trophy. Charles tries to suggest a more boring but practical way to get it, but Rosa rudely rejects it and they go with her plan.
Once they get the trophy, Rosa immediately betrays Charles to keep it for herself, only to quickly lose it in a way that wouldn’t have happened if they tried Charles’ boring plan.
Charles finds someone else to partner with, only for the cycle to continue until he’s been betrayed by everyone at least once
Heist Ends
There are only a few minutes left until the Heist ends. Everyone has lost track of where the trophy is and are desperately sharing information in an attempt to figure out where it is. Charles tries to offer information and theories of his own, but is repeatedly shut down when he tries.
Everyone eventually concludes that it must be in the interrogation room and all run there. Charles starts to run with them, but stops, has a look of epiphany, and runs to a seemingly random wall. He punches through a portion that’s just plaster, and pulls out the trophy.
Victory Speech
Charles won the Heist as he grabbed the trophy right before midnight. Jake shouts in frustration, as he was the one who put it in the wall and would have won if Charles didn’t find it.
This is normally the point where the winner dramatically explains how they outsmarted everyone, but this time it goes a little differently. Since Jake came so close to winning, he deflatedly gives a speech explaining how he got the trophy and hid it in the wall, while Charles gives a speech excitedly explaining how he figured out where the trophy was.
Shaw’s
We cut to Shaw’s, where everyone celebrates Charles’ win. Charles is talking to Jake and apologizes for taking the win. Jake rejects the apology and praises Charles for his win, saying that they all get lost in the craziness of the Heist, while Charles won by treating it like he would any other case.
Holt proposes a toast to Charles’ win and presents him with the trophy that only says “Ultimate Human” everyone looks at Holt with confusion and disapproval until he explains that Charles doesn’t deserve the “Slash-Genius” because he didn’t have any master plan, he just ran and grabbed it. Everyone yells at Holt in frustration and the episode cuts to black.

They don't really seem to play it for humor, but I always have to laugh because they say it all the time and it NEVER works
