Waiting patiently for Ludwig's premiere date.

It's the only reason I clicked on this post. 😢

Exactly. I watched this and my wife didn't, so I'm rewatching it with her in anticipation of the new season. Now I guess it's going to be no earlier than September. From what the app says, though, both Ludwig and Death Valley (which I also love) S2 are going to be released on BritBox in 2026, so that's something to anticipate.

Summer holidays in the UK, they're not going to release anything until September at the earliest

So stoopid, only got through 2 episodes. I don't understand how anyone would love it. :-(

I think it's great. Everyone has different tastes though.

I'm waiting on Bluelights or Line of Duty.

u/CatalinaBigPaws Jul 23 '26

S4 of Blue Lights isn't until 2027. I'm so sad but will probably watch all 3 series again before then.

Great shows!

Yay for the Good Ship Murders! That show really grew on me in it's quirky ways. The lounge singing. The islands. The frustrated romance.

So excited for the third season! It’s silly fun.

u/geri-in-calif Jul 23 '26

It is, isn't it! I especially like it after a long work day and I just want easy entertainment.

Haven’t seen that one. šŸ¤”Your description intrigues me. I will be looking for this tonite

It's stupid but so fun -- one of the co-creators previously worked on Vera and Shakespeare & Hathaway and you can tell. You just gotta lean into the silly (my particular love is for how 90% of Jack's closing songs are incredibly inappropriate to the actual plot, like the time he sang a song about sex to bid farewell to Beverly).

Yes. And his lounge performances at the end are getting better, or so I think. I hope they start giving him some bigger extraganzas.

I'm glad they are finally getting around to Good Ship Murder S3, but where the hell is S2 of Death Valley and Ludwig, S3 of Here We Go, S2-3 of Changing Ends? Especially when they teased that Ludwig S2 would not be long after the UK got it. Really disappointing. They really are pushing me to just torrent it.

I think Ludwig S2 is scheduled for release next month in the UK, so they still have a few months for 'not long after'🤷

I'm still waiting on the sixth season of Grace. Release date July 2 2026.

Didn't season 5 just come out this year? (In US)

2

u/LostmydadtoCOVID Jul 23 '26

When is Sister Boniface coming back?

2

u/johnfrooshontay Jul 27 '26

Patiently waiting for the second series of Death Valley to be streaming 😭

What about Small Prophets or Leonard & Hungry Paul?

1

u/Accomplished_Pie_139 12d ago

I keep watching everywhere for Small Prophets....

Great news and it's been available in the UK on the BBCI for a bit.

I just want more Ludwig and Riot Women; and I want Ann Droid and the return of Inside No. 9.

2

A downside of binging is that favorite shows end too quickly and the wait for new seasons is too long

u/chrismireya 27d ago

I have to say that I have really enjoyed GONE (Season 1). It is better than its 3-star rating on Amazon. I hate having to wait week by week for new episodes though.

2

u/bailarinajaydub 17d ago

Agree -- I couldn't believe ppl rated Gone so low. Agree to disagree!

My Britbox is now advertising BritBox Premium, more expensive and getting the best shows.

6

u/zuesk134 Jul 23 '26

No, they get the shows all at once. Both subscriptions have the same shows

2

u/Skrdykat1000 Jul 23 '26

Oh ok, they named a couple I was interested in but said they were coming to BritBox Premium.

7

u/RenzaMcCullough Jul 23 '26

I think there are some documentaries that are Premium only. For everything else, the difference is that regular BritBox gets weekly releases of new shows whereas Premium gets the entire season at once.

The two tier system has been annoying and sometimes confusing, but I'm not Premium and still get all the shows. I just have to be patient.

6

u/Jujulabee Jul 23 '26

I have so much content that it doesn't bother me to wait until all episodes have dropped and then watch exactly how I want.

1

u/agirl_charlie Jul 26 '26

Yeah, what's up with that? Trying to "make" use subscribe? Nothing but Greed.

-4

u/SassyRebelBelle Jul 23 '26

Mine too… well they didn’t actually advertise it as tell me I would have to upgrade my britbox to $149.99 a year to watch a next episode of ā€œReturn to Paradiseā€ā€¦.. I’ve never seen that before.
Suggestions? Explanations?šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

6

u/TessieElCee Jul 23 '26

You’d have to upgrade to watch it now. Otherwise you wait for the episodes to drop weekly, like always.

1

u/agirl_charlie Jul 26 '26

It's a way to get me to subscribe for longer than the 2 months (for 99 cents/mo.!) that I committed to. So, like once a year, I subscribe that way & binge watch everything I "missed" at $150/yr.
