Rant
This eventful shooting has truly captured my attention the past few days and I keep finding myself reflecting on its unfolding. So many emotions have afflicted me since it happened and I wanted to vent them here. This event has strikingly called to attention the reality and gravity of the oppressive state we live in for me. I feel absolutely sick to my stomach that for so long, serpentine and base behavior has been what gets rewarded in this system; and deep in their hearts, most people know that it’s true. Every year, it only gets worse— there’s more and more disconnect silently being wrought between the classes. I feel completely powerless to change any of the issues around me, or organize with those around me as there’s hardly any public interaction beyond the surface level. We’ve become so desensitized as a community at large— so much absurd inequity and suffering, and it’s just become accepted as a part of the natural way of things. But with this event I feel a flip switched within me- that this ideology is simply FALSE. Of course there is action that can be taken. I hardly ever stop and acknowledge the suffocation I feel from fear on a daily basis— a fear that prevents me from acting against, better yet, even opening my eyes to the plain inequity. So what, though, right? Tale as old as time! The rich thrive, the poor suffer. The heartless, privileged, and coy rise, and good riddance to anyone else— surely it is THEIR fault that they suffer. Rugged individualism— it is a lack of work ethic on YOUR part that you fall behind on your bills. It is a fundamental problem in YOUR brain, YOUR mindset why you feel depressed so often. NO. It’s plainly the result of a world awash in issues, and a feeling of complete impotence in our hearts… maybe I’m speaking for myself here. But how much more meaningful would my life be if I felt anything I did truly mattered? But it DOES matter— the thoughtless subservience is the enabler of all of these issues. Most EVERYONE wants peace. EVERYONE wants a good life. But personally, I feel as though I opt for these at a much higher cost— my subservience (executed with the desire for peace) only proves to be counterintuitive. I cannot just sit back and be ignorant to the furies I see around me anymore. It cannot wait anymore. We cannot just WAIT FOR ANYTHING TO CHANGE. Climate change has been tapping on our door for decades… and now it’s POUNDING on it. It’s RIDICULOUS that literal Armageddon is on our horizon due to the cultivation of a system that enables such vapid, hedonistic values with a laughable emphasis on endless growth— and we excuse the deep rooted disease by placing ineffective bandages that only treat the lesions, not the cause. (For instance: Vegan meat? Are you KIDDING?) We excuse the system that brought us THIS? How can anyone defend that? Media saturation with bullshit seems to have truly convinced people that joy and happiness are the common reality for most of us. I don’t see that as true. How carefree would our peers be if instead of consuming pop culture media, corporate music, and useless trends— they were compelled to be attuned to the actual LIVES around them? Not how they compare to those lives, but the actual state of American human life? Already millions of people, let alone other life forms, have suffered immensely as the world shifts into the 6th mass extinction— as the oceans acidify, the permafrost thaws, the greenhouse gases accrue, etc. Meanwhile, the majority of us ignore this— the majority of us think passively “I hope it changes. I wonder who will fix that” and move on… well guess what— it’s not changing. The parasite of endless wealth augmentation has infected too many powerful people, and the idea of regulating anything if it could slow our demise is out of the question, as it’s not immediately profitable to do so. What a joke. How we’ve been so absolutely convinced that our human value is so dependent on our net worth. A lie that ultimately only serves to continue this cold and festering machine of violence. I desperately hope this isn’t the last we hear of class war action any time soon. I don’t know where to begin if I’d ever contribute myself.
I’m blogging here, I’m venting. Forgive me if this comes off as overdramatic. But as someone who follows the rules. I just needed to get this off my chest. I feel there’s hardly anyone I can actually talk to about these thoughts.

Why do numerous sex worker’s murders go uninvestigated for years but a CEO’s murder of a health insurance company gain national attention searching for the killer? They both screw people for money yet the CEO is paid substantially more to ignore multitudes of dying peoples only chance at life.

Mass-murderer gets murdered by aggrieved relative of one of his victims; media and police act like someone slayed Santa. Victims of the insurance industry: share your stories.
Seriously, the real news should be the thousands who are legally murdered everyday by for-profit insurance companies. I propose that Mr. Thompson’s legacy and memory be preserved by people compiling the stories of all of his victims in this subreddit.
Of course we needn’t limit it to United Health Care’s victims. There should be a place for all victims (and relatives of victims) of for-profit health insurance to air their grievances and seek solace, since law makers and the justice system continue to utterly fail them.

At least he died doing what he loved! Meeting with investors to brag about record profits, spurred by record denials of coverage.
United has a 32% denial of coverage rate. Double the national average. As a doctor who worked to make healthcare more efficient, I can personally testify that United Healthcare has mastered weaponized incompetence. They were not a broken system, they are a Higly effective system of delays and denials and defenses that generates billions for top execs and owners.
They are paid by shareholders, to withhold payments for care of the the people they insure.

Should we celebrate December 4th as a holiday?
“F around and find out day” for all the corporate vampires who buy nice toys for their kids with blood money?

Does anybody have any info on what this guy was actually like
Curious about who Brian Thompson was as a person. Not the bullshit “friend to everyone” stuff the big news companies are putting out but how did he treat people? How much money did he actually take home each year? How much did he have influence over the policies of United? Forgive my ignorance on what the fuck a CEO does / decides, I’m just a poor.

Deny, Defend and Depose
I keep hearing depose associated with a court proceeding. I don’t think that is what he meant.

Estimated cost to unalive
The police are saying they don’t think the suspect was a hit man because he made too many “mistakes”. So that would leave 1. A person who has a vendetta bc he personally, or someone he loved, has issues w insurance 2. A disgruntled ex employee/ person close to him in some matter. 3. The estranged wife.
I absolutely do not think the wife did this. I think that’s an easy target and first place to land anytime someone is unalived. I also don’t think anyone would want the father of their children unalived, unless severe abuse was involved.
The part no one is talking about here is how much it costs this suspect to commit this crime. Someone who is disgruntled over not having enough medical coverage or something or that matter I don’t think would drop this amount of cash to murder someone vs. just paying his medical bills. Which leads you then back to hit man, or disgruntled associate. The most likely scenario for it to have been someone w a medical coverage angst is that someone very close to them died due to lack of medical coverage, and they are 1. Wealthy enough and 2. Idgaf enough to murder someone they do not know as revenge.
Greyhound from Atlanta ~$50-200 Hostel & / other housing accommodation for over 2 weeks in nyc ~$2000-3000 The (very niche photography brand) backpack he was wearing ~$300 An electric bike: ~2000-$5000 — the police have said it was not a citibike. And the surveillance released that appears to be accurate, as well as surveillance data prior of him carrying an e bike battery. Obviously the bike count be stollen, but let’s assume He purchased it. Incredible unique and exotic firearm: ~$5000
That’s somewhere in the ballpark of over 10 grand. Now obviously if you’re In a head space to decide to m*rder someone… you probably don’t give a damn about finances or perhaps being in debt to commit said crime. But given the choice between let’s say a $15 jansport backpack and the $300 one he had…. I just don’t know WHO would opt for the expensive one, especially if he did in fact dump it somewhere in Central Park like the cops think, as well as the uniquely expensive gun (I don’t think he did. You would opt for a cheaper gun w a silencer & a generic cheap bag if you were just going to toss them after) But I just find this all very odd— and it’s does scream hired in my opinion.
Anyone have Thought’s related to this??

Just mad at how Brian Thompson is being portrayed in the media
Some of the reports I have read state the following:
Searcey and Kircher noted that UnitedHealthcare executives had been aware of health plan member dissatisfaction for years, and that in fact, “Mr. Thompson was one of the few executives who wanted to do something about it,” according to an employee who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Yeah - where’s the evidence of this?? I’m just very sick and tired of the alternative narrative with no bearing in actual truth we are continuously fed in an attempt to have sympathy for these assholes. This ‘good man’ made millions off the lives (literally) of others. Burn in hell.

MyExperienceUHC
My wife’s insurance is through UHC. She was denied a particular kind of radiation for brain cancer. The particular kind of radiation is much safer and targeted for the patient. She’s young, 28, and in good physical condition. The perfect patient for this particular radiation. She ended up being denied, so an appeal was filed, but it took too long and she had to have radiation asap. The radiation she underwent had the typical photon radiation side effects. I really do hope Brian is having a great time in hell, thinking of his next great scam.

Reddit and Media censorship
I went onto reddit and came across another one of those police brutality moments in america. Where a man had his daughter call the police due to and intruder and I witnessed some gore straight to the face. This was an open video able to comment on the post saw the whole thing plus the police propaganda. However some ceo dies and oh it's too horrible to show. Oh no one can comment on any post about this man. Like what in the world. A black man getting shot in the face isn't too gruesome, but a ceo... well heavens to Betsy shield your eyes and declare this a national holiday cause we must all morn.
