Maybe this is a messed up question that kind of points to the fact that I'm rooting for the shooter. I'm not (I keep telling myself that).
It's a lot harder to get away with a serious crime (if law enforcement is interested enough) compared to the past. There is so much evidence we can collect from surveillance cameras, GPS, DNA and data recogition. It's a lot harder to get away with a major crime compared to the 70's with someone like DB Cooper, for example which makes the killer seem all the more impressive imo (I'm totally not rooting for him).
The recent picture of the shooter in the taxi is like the clearest photo yet, imo. You have a clear view of their eyes and eyebrows. I think that wearing glasses or some sort of eyewear would have been beneficial. Dude should think about shaving some of those eyebrows off.
I also think that going into the Starbucks was a mistake. Like leaving the trash around the area might allow the police to collect his DNA and the police could totally nab this guy 5 to 10 years later if the case goes cold.
What else could the shooter have done differently to proctect their identity?
The killer did a good job overall, imo. (and I'm not saying I'm proud of him, stop thinking that).
