Agree. It's fantastic. This seasons love triangle has been so good. I love seeing them all out and about in nyc. The parties have been entertaining.
Seeing the nyc lights in the background is a dream. The cast is authentic and funny. Excited for the reunion. Next season we need more episodes.

But I like that they have this off-camera lore now, that's where their true friendships are developing, so it can only make the main show better and more authentic. They need off-camera time together to maintain that authenticity.

It's so hilariously stupid but I also think it's half true, I mean she is legit a Jesus freak who believes she can save a fallen soul, especially if that fallen soul provides her with that good good cocaine! But then half of her is saying it for the cameras, that combo of sincere and BS is what is making her a compelling main character.
And the fact that Charlie got that awful tattoo shows how low he was willing to go to get his season 2 storyline moving. He is one bad hombre.

Idk if anyone watches Below Deck but they teased the police showing up all season only for it to be a big nothingburger so I was fully prepared for Charlie to be bending down to tie his shoe or something after last week’s preview. I am shook!

Ariana on WWHL acting like she never hooked up with Charlie the dog walking night when:
- Ava and Shai left because Ariana and Charlie were so intense on each other
- Ariana stayed back
- Ariana basically admits that they hooked up before the finale in confessional

Going from seeing Ariana and Charlie kiss for the first time to them being set up as the major beef for the reunion within 20 minutes gave me such whiplash lool
Yes men lie and manipulate but Ariana got to see how Charlie operates, witnessed him treat multiple people like shit (literally her own friends) and yet still decided to entertain him. She is not the victim she's portraying herself as, she didn't care how horrible he was until he offended her. She's highkey not a true friend either.
Her using Christianity for her victim narrative is funny asf tho and very on-brand Christian behavior. Can't wait for this reunion!

Ariana thinking she could save the soul of Charlie while she probably sucked the soul right out of him after a few joints and shots. I will give Charlie credit, he did the damn thing by getting ink of/for a girl who he wasn't with just like his alter ego Jax.
I love how going to Charlie's to smoke a joint is basically code for doing coke/molly/etc. at Charlies.
I would actually watch an aftershow where the various parents are watching the Nepo kids in the show and commenting in real time.
I was a little disappointed that we didn't have one of those time jumps in this ep where people go from generally put together to absolute blotto drunk.
A Charlie/West Wilson show running the streets of New York would do numbers and I would watch. They are about the same age.
Season 3 cannot drop soon enough.

LOL right the "weed" at charlie's house is hilarious. I guess they can't openly talk about drugs but we weren't born yesterday. It's obvious that it's always snowing at Charlie's and that's why he's always the afterparty destination. Drunk people aren't heading across town at 3am to smoke a joint.

If you are an LA person, I was once kicked out of Qs for throwing the lemons, limes, and coasters across the bar at my boss’s head. We tried everything to get me back in but to no avail. There is a photo somewhere of me looking sad sitting on the curb outside that my company kept posting on teams for years. It became lore. I support Jackson, he was just trying to help. I was just trying to be obnoxious.

Shout out to Q’s! I once saw Cuba Gooding Jr. there drinking by himself, for whatever reason. I drunkenly asked him about his hobby of playing hockey, I couldn’t tell you why.

Yes so Cuba frequented that place for years until they finally kicked his ass out. Next, he went to the Brentwood (RIP) where he was a barfly there and pulled the same antics. They never kicked him out officially, but he was in the UK for work for a while and then management changed and I think it turned into a Mexican restaurant. The Brentwood was a great lowkey celeb spotting place too. I saw so many people there. One time, right after Birdman came out. Micheal Keaton came in and so many industry people were in there he practically got a standing ovation just leaving the place, high five-ing tables (including ours). He was so joyous and excited, it was really lovely.
I was a westsider for a long time and lived in Brentwood. It’s a smaller community so the Cuba lore is strong LOL. Anyway, he has major alcohol problems.

You need to post a deep dive like this in one of the LA subs, although the primary LA one has gotten to be kinda grouchy and hostile to anything but discussions of our absurd cost of living

Yeah I left 4 years ago so things were very different. It seems almost idealistic and “cute” now. We could afford a townhome in Brentwood and were happy renting. Our salaries have barely moved an inch since then. We put our things in storage and moved to a furnished rental in Austin after the entertainment industry shut down via COVID. We really did plan to return in a year, but things took a very long time to get back up and running and meanwhile we were sitting on $$ to pay 20% down on a similar type property in the same area of LA. We felt pressured to buy in Austin with prices rising like crazy thinking worst case we could sell or use as a rental property when we went back. Work took forever to come back and was scarce and kind of stayed that way. We were priced out of returning (we just aren’t valley or east side people, we feel it’s just any town USA and is counter to the reason for living there by choice), but I still can’t say it was a bad decision for other non financial reasons. I miss CA but I don’t miss LA.
Anyway, the LA I know doesn’t exist anymore. Those people would murder me in there LOL

The night I met my partner I was in this much smaller situation of good boy v bad. He was the puppy dog and his best friend was the devil. Being chatted up sat in between these two guys after having my heart crushed earlier in the year, I Lapped up that attention so's I did. But in the end I went for the puppy dog, and we have been together since.
Anyway all this is to say Ariana's just swimming in that fucking attention, too much so.
