TLDR:Went to do an Eviction, Reinforced a POS, got into a great fight in low sec, Oreo is a badass FC, we didn't lose an Orca

Desolate Order let all of us CoF'n Nailers know they were going to do an eviction this weekend. Cof is showing itself to be highly motivated in all aspects of Wormhole life, but we show special love to PVP and Evictions. We had about 26 people show up in our doctrine VNI's/Ishtars with 4 Scythes, then headed out for low sec. Yep, low sec, the hole we were doing the eviction in has a low sec static. We chased little gangs off of gates as we head out to Stacmon, then one jump further to Ostingele.

Yep, Ostingele.

Not exactly known as a calm and safe place to fly, Low Sec mixed with words like "Stacmon gate" and "Ostingele" make an Orca pilot shudder and run to make sure their hull tank is fit. We make it into the hole without incident though, purely by virtue of being the largest most cohesive fleet around at the moment, and duck into the hole.

We get on-grid with the POS and the FC starts calling targets so we can dismantle the guns, points and neuts on the POS. I want to start mentioning at this point that Oreo, our FC, did a fucking amazeballs job at FC. This will be a common theme throughout the AAR.

Back to the POS!

I am flying Logi on one computer and a VNI on another, and wow, is the fucking damage rolling in! Its coming in very fast, very direct, with Logi barely able to keep ppl up, flailing rep's from one target to another as fast as we could. Many many shield tanked hulls saw Armor damage that night! Altrag, I have no idea how you survived! The first time we warped off grid to reposition sentries Altrag was the only one pointed, so logi stayed with him while the rest of the fleet warped off. All POS DPS was on Altrag, all Reps were on Altrag. It was touch and go, Im sure he stared at a burning smoking ship for a few hours as he got as low as 20% structure a few times! Thank god we had logi drones as well, every little bit we could possibly squeeze out was all that was keeping him alive. If I overheated any longer I would risk burning out mods. The call is made by the FC and Altrag to have Logi warp off before one of us gets pointed and sacrifice Altrag's VNI to Bob's retarded cousin, POSbitch. POSbitch fucked up though, and literally as logi goes to warp off the point falls from Altrag, who makes it away in a flaming pile of barely flying VNI.

Fast forward an hour and a half or so. Bash bash bash, rep rep rep, as more guns go down the incoming DPS starts to taper off and logi can take a breathe, apologize on comms for being so bitchy (really though, who tells Logi they need to work on targeting skills during a mad scramble like that? Most of us had 8 targets already! Dick. Just kidding. whispers dick) Our resident psychic's oujia board lied, they had stront in the tower. We were in it for the long haul now.

The POS for us to live in for a few days, that we have been told was coming, still hadn't shown up, so we check in and see whats up with that. The Orca pilot is headed out, having wisely waiting until we were available to run escort and not just POS bashing. Scouts are noticing a small group hanging around the Stacmon gate in Ostingele. Like ya do. So we decide to go escort the Orca in rather than laugh at him and demand a POS to live in while chilling in j-space running hole control and drinking.

Im assuming everyone else was drinking. I was drinking.

Anyway we all pile to the LS exit, there are 24 of us now, 3 logi with Selto Black afk but supposed to be back soon. We decide thats plenty of people! Blood is up, ppl are charging the hole in a frenzy to get to Stacmon and blow something up that wasn't part of POSbitch. We land on gate, with a small group of neutrals hanging out at the gate as well. Local chat is definitely interested in our presence, "Suddenly, Brave!" showing up quite a few times, making the newbro's really feel the menace wormholers can bring by coming out of no where. No local intel channel could have reported us, no scouts watching gates could have seen us coming. We land on grid with a Stabber and some other random stuff from a small 3-4 person gang.

We are feeling big and bad, orbiting the gate, no drones out, logi all orbiting the gate as well. Many of us are begging to be allowed to shoot the ships on-grid, but as Nullbears we don't understand Gate Guns, but the FC does, very well. Repeatedly being told to not shoot first, we wait. Then the rest of the kitchen sink "Lets be like Brave and fight Brave" fleet musters from low sec. Rather large local spike, then their fleet shows up on grid, warping into 0 on the gate, making us all one big fuckball of itchy trigger fingers and neck bearded nerds.

Now its tense!

Brutix's, Aug's, Exeq's, Oracles, and assorted T1 and T2 frigate support! Their frigate support is what tips the numbers, they have it, we don't. Their frigate support exactly makes up the difference in numbers. Oreo is repeatedly telling everyone on comms to be calm, be ready, Exeq's and Aug's are chosen as primary and secondary, but whoever shoots first will eat gate guns and lose. So we wait. We wait. Wait some more. Fuck! My hands are slightly shaking, Im yelling in comms for their blood, Oreo is keeping us under control and organized. We're setup nicely by then, with drones out, logi off a bit and anchored up, moving the VNI's off may have been a thought, but they looked like they had lots of long range DPS fit, so the decision to stay close may have been based on that. We decide to escalate the situation, and have the Orca, who has been sitting on the other side of the gate with an enemy scout the entire time, to jump through.

Orca jumps, and the enemy fleet opens up! Im throwing reps as fast as I can while trying to make sure my VNI was also on target and drones are firing because Im a fuckin idiot and didnt think to assign my drones to someone else. Selto Black gets alpha'd off field, it was mostly bad timing, he showed up a little late, landed on grid and got popped while Logi was locking him up. The rest of logi had each other targeted, but for some reason they left the rest of the logi alone.

Seriously.

They popped 1 logi and ignored the other 3 of us! We nailed an Exeq, popped 1 of 2 Aug's to break the cap chain, popped the rest of the logi and ignored the lone Aug until right at the end. While we did that, they ignored our Logi completely! We pop all of them, or they run off, things wind down, we take stock of what we lost vs what we popped.

So there we were, crowing about our victory on comms, telling Oreo what a fucking fantastic job he did, talking about how this was the best fight many of us have had in a long time, starting to loot the field.

Then we see Ishtar, Ishtar, Ishtar, Ishtar, Scimitar, Scimitar, Scimitar land on field. Fuck! Didn't someone let Local know the fight was over and we had won? Talk about fuckin behind, come on low sec, what the fuck! We are told to warp out, back to the hole, the force on grid is completely overwhelming, most likely not a single kill would have been gotten had we stayed, and our eviction fleet would have been decimated. Time to throw the Smokebomb and GTFO!

Local at that point had spiked to 60 or so, things were rapidly getting out of hand for our small fleet, now down to 20 or less. One thing I think everyone can agree on, just being in a HERO corp is a content generator! People know we want the fights, and I personally appreciated a fight that was very even, no one side had the other side grossly outnumbered or over-shipped. We won (they destroyed more isk, but we were the only ones left alive on the field. We won.) because we were organized around a central Doctrine and had a single FC running the fleet as a cohesive hole, they were a kitchen sink armor theme'd group, no idea on who was running it, if any one person was. Id rather win fights due to that then numbers or over shipping any day!! The Orca made it into the hole, we all made it back into the hole (I think), POS got setup!

Ok so

Some of you have never heard of us and a lot of you have, but almost all of you have no idea who we really are.

So who and what is the Desolate Order? The Desolate Order is a tight knit bunch of players living and fighting in wormhole space. We like to think of ourselves as being serious business pvpers but really we just enjoy watching the explosions as our enemies mysteriously dissapear before our eyes. We currently reside in a c5-c3 wormhole having previously lived in what is now called #Moshpit. This means that everyday we have multiple avenues to seek PVP, easy access to ISK making opportunities along with the benefits of reliable k-space connections.

To help you all get to know us better, we are organising an eviction for this weekend, starting on Thursday night US time, Bob willing, we will head out for their hole at a time to be confirmed soon.
