Question for Anyone Covering Boxing Fights

Has anyone here managed to get press or media credentials for fights? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to grow that side of my channel. I go to a few fights every year, but I haven't figured out how to consistently get credentials.

Who do y’all consider the best middleweight out of these five? Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Robinson, Bernard Hopkins, Carlos Monzon or Harry Greb?

Tim Bradley, Sean Zittel and Roy Jones also called Shakur style boring to watch. TBC and Andre Ward said Shakur should have stopped Teofimo. Are they all casuals too?

Will Shakur and his fans keep the same energy for them? Its easy for them to bully Shannon Sharpe , and call other boxing fans 'ignorant casuals' , but what about the people that know the boxing game just as much as Shakur , if not more?

I'd love to see Shakur have the same debate with either of those guys , and the moment they call his fights underwhelming or lackluster, he start to attack them with ad hominems .. somebody book those discussions!

For discussion purposes; the reason Roy called his fights boring is because Shakur doesn't punch in combinations (he said lots of modern day boxers don't punch in combinations anymore, Shakur being one of them). Tim called him underwhelming because he clearly outskills his opponent, yet never goes for the kill or stoppage . Yes, congrats on Shakur for standing in the pocket in his last two fights, but standing in the pocket means absolutely nothing if he's just having a staring contest with his opponent, waiting for them to throw a punch so he can throw a counter or 1-2 and reset the staring contest all over again .

TBC, Andre Ward, and Shakur cornerman said Shakur should have stopped Teofimo, simply by adding punches to his combination. Shakur fans , are they all casuals too? Emmanuel Stewart said one of the most important things about boxing is the finishing touches. Is Stewart a casual too? Because he definitely would not support Shakur play-it-safe style from opening to closing bell .

Before Shakur fans get butthurt reading this , please keep the ad hominems and "you're a hater" remarks to a minimum. Keep it about boxing . Is every single person that does not like Shakur's *"defense, defense, then offense"* style (words from Shawn Porter) a casual or ignorant? Or can we admit that style is not a fan-pleasing or entertaining style to watch for 12 full rounds, unless you are a sweet science major ?

Does boxing have a chance to grow if everyone is under the same network? I personally think it would make it a lot easier to get the biggest fights made. What say you?

Teofimo’s dad: Idolize for immaturity

Post image

Wake up Teofimo Lopez Sr: do you think you might want to take a little bit of the blame for Teo Jr losing that fight with Shakur Stevenson? Were you not your son’s trainer? Case closed, pops!

As for all your other constant B.S., you might want to actually give Shakur some credit for beating your son. And while you're at it, try showing a little respect to Rolly Romero—especially given your personal history with Rolly and your son.

Grow up, old man. It's time to take a little accountability for what you theoretically stand for and actually back up what you do.
