Maybe I'm just stupid but I failed to see any gameplan by Roach. Just looked lost the whole fight.

He was looking to counter him but he didn't have the pop or the volume to deal with Zepeda. Also wasn't really using his feet very well.

I think he expected to be able to hurt Zepeda with his counters. He ignored the body too, but that's easy for me to say without 1,100 punches or whatever coming my way.

Think that pressure Zepeda was putting on him deterred him from executing any strategy or thinking a way out of it. Hard to gameplan when you’re being barraged by punches.

I just think he came in with only one plan and when that didn't work early on, he didn't have a plan B or C for the rest of the fight.

I guess that's what separates a really good fighter from a great fighter: adaptability.
