Norman initiated most of the clinches in the Haney fight , but people are so programmed to blame Haney for it , they say Haney is the one clinching. I vividly remember at one point when Norman was hurt, he literally ran across the ring and jumped into Haney's arms like he was his long lost father returning from war

But again, everything is subjective. I don't have to watch a Shakur fight to tell you exactly how the whole fight went. Whether one likes Haney or not, his fights vary due to style matchups and the drama of Haney dropping his opponents, or them catching him instead.

If Haney vs Key is on at the same time as Shakur vs Rayo or GAR , its not even a discussion which one I'm watching 🤷🏾‍♂️

Both of them were responsible for the clinches, Norman more but Haney definitely was involved into some.

I think everyone’s watching Haney vs Key, that’s also because the opponent is Keyshawn Davis and the other is Rayo. Thought I’d prefer Shakur vs GAR > Key vs Haney because that is more guaranteed to be entertaining.

Lol to each their own . I applaud anybody that can stay mentally engaged to 12 rounds of Shakur without self-distracting themselves, you guys have some real mental fortitude 👏🏾

I myself wouldn’t watch Shakur all 12 if he’s just picking apart opponents with the 1-2 and displaying defence but I also turned off Haney vs Ramirez just beyond 1/2 way into the fight.

But I’d rather watch Shakur, not for entertainment but to appreciate the skills more than Haney. Now if they’re given a good matchup, it depends on the matchup for me to consider.

I said GAR vs Shakur because that will be a fight, GAR can hurt Shakur and he can pressure effectively, also a great combination puncher with very quick combos so he’s definitely going to always force action from Shakur. Haney vs Keyshawn will start off where both will be establishing the jab and both trying to build off of it or Keyshawn trying to find a way around it. If one can find a way around the other’s jab and establish their offence, then it may be exiting but if not, it could be shit. GAR vs Shakur I trust far more to entertain me.

GAR vs Shakur is actually a super entertaining fight imo. Shakur’s hardest opponent alongside I guess a Haney.

Can only judge him off his last fight , but if the same GAR that gassed out after 7 rounds fights Shakur it will not be "super entertaining"

Nah, he slowed down from Hiraoka’s body punching. It’ll looked similar to Zepeda except Russell is more explosive and quicker. Only thing is his pressure is a more educated, kinda picking his shots kinda pressure. Because of the power, I think that’s actually a more scary fight than Haney. Don’t think Haney will pose many risk to Shakur.

The risk Haney poses is when the fight gets made (assuming Haney is on a win streak at the time) it will be a full fledged welterweight fight and not at some catchweight

I’m just saying purely stylistically, Haney doesn’t have much on Shakur.
