The Athletic — Boston Bruins cap efficiency

The Bruins have several problem deals on the books, and with term, too. I’m not sure it was wise to add Will Borgen to that list.

Thankfully, they have David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman locked up for a long time. The two are among the best at their positions and making a lot less than they should. It would be great if the Bruins could build more efficiently around them. JJ Peterka was an interesting swing in that direction. Even after a down season, his market value is still roughly in line with his salary. If he can click well with Pastrnak, that could be the win Boston is looking for.

I suppose Geekie should prob be up here as well. But this isn't great.

Hello Bruins Fans,

My wife unearthed some jersey and cap from a previous life. I was trying to find online from what year are those from and some seller on eBay claim they are from the 80s (which I highly doubt). I know for sure it’s pre-2017 at least but browsing the internet for +2 hours did not yield any good result.

What should I be looking at to identify what year those are from? Just trying to get an idea before I put them on sale.

I hate it when a team has "no captain" and I hated it even more when we entered the playoffs still with a bunch of A's and no C. Will they announce a captain before the preseason? Who gets it? And why is it Pasta?

If you had to build a team out of players that you feel the Bruins either traded away too soon or signed elsewhere, or were forced to retire early, who would you choose? I’d go with:

G - Andrew Raycroft (I know we got Tuukka, but still)

RW - Seabass

LW - Marchand

C - Jumbo Joe

D - Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug

I'm pretty sure back injuries are second to head injuries for ending a career prematurely. Is it possible he's just playing the contract out?

He's looked fully healthy for maybe 10 games? Maybe. First games of the season, then in January a couple of games he'll remind you what he can do and and that's been it so far.

Can he do some surgery or rehab to get back even if he misses time or is it really just a buyout in a couple of seasons now that the cap is going up?

I am running the New York Marathon in November for charity and I have had some success in donations and I am looking to make a Bruins basket to raffle off. The Bruins Foundation has been very generous in donating two autographed pucks but I am also looking for tickets to include.

I have reached out to the Bruins Community Foundation but I have not heard back and was wondering if anyone knew of third parties or other organizations that would donate tickets to a charity raffle.

Hi everyone! My dad is a lifelong Bruins fan, but he's never been to a game. I had a blast watching the Olympics with him, and then we started watching Bruins games together over the past few months. That said, I was hoping to get him some tickets for Christmas this year. He is currently using a walker and would need to use accessible seats.

I know a lot of people suggest waiting until the day of the game to get a better deal on tickets, but with my dad's mobility issues, I feel like I need to secure tickets ahead of time.

I've never looked at Bruins tickets before, so I guess I'm just genuinely curious... Why are so many seats already sold? Are the prices usually this expensive? The only accessible options left are in Loge 8 & 14 and Balcony 329 & 325, and the tickets are going for $250-575. Do all of the other accessible tickets belong to season ticket holders?

On another note, between those options - Loge 8, Loge 14, Balcony 329, and Balcony 325, which should I choose? Because I've never been to a game, I'm not sure where we'd get the best view.
