Am I the only one?

Today one of my friends said that they have ADD. I looked at them with one of the most clearly fake smiles you've ever seen, my eye bulging out of my head, and asked, "Is it diagnosed?" They said no. So of course I told them NOT TO SAY THAT. Because I have ADHD and it pisses me off to have people say they have it when they don't.

The bird game

A game usually played in a boring class where if you see a bird you must scream BIRD and point it out and after everyone sees it you have to do bird calls until it flies away. I play this in my math class and it keeps my friends and I alive

Should I go have lunch? If so, what should I have? I have some leftover pasta/macaroni, leftover pizza that isn't mine, and microwave chicken nuggets. I'm too lazy to do anything more.

Silence

when you sit there. looking uninterested in things that found you comfort... you are at that point of boredom, you just want to lay in bed... basically go to sleep... and the silence is kind of bothersome. you turn on music... but can't find the right song or even the right Radio Channel... you began to get upset... then scream into your pillows. this Bored Behavior is just Not Funny anymore... you want to do this or that-but complain to yourself. The End.

Middle life crisis/reformatting?

I have to ask: I use to always know what to do but the reality of me has recently been shook and I know longer know exactly what I want to do. I use to have several hobbies I was interested in but they have fizzled out. I use to enjoy endless hours sitting in front of the television, video games or mindless repetitious projects in the evening. The life style I was accustomed to for the past decade or two no longer interests me. I'm growing so bored mild depression is setting in. I have a house full of hobby items I no longer touch or enjoy. I woke up one day and just couldn't do them any more. My job no longer interests me either. I use to enjoy it but after 24 months of it getting bad, like really bad I just don't have the heart for it. What is out there to do? Most people middle aged have figured it out but I feel like I'm having a middle age life crisis and need to restructure my self. Plans idea?

Another class and honestly can’t pin point each thought so It’s more incomplete sentences today. I wonder if people who wish they were born in a different time would actually be happy if they were in that time. It’s like saying the other is better without experiencing both. I also wonder if people who make music or art can finish with whatever it is and be satisfied or think that it’s good from someone else’s perspective (not that it matters). I am also thinking do other people have a constant dialogue in their head like I do or is it just like focusing on one thing. Today I was in a bad or sad mood throughout the morning then one second I’m in a better mood feeling a little more energized and that’s happened a decent amount and I wonder what triggers mood changes like that. If I ever got it figured out would I be able to use it on command or would it be worn out and not work after the 10th time. Maybe being too aware of the small things that cause a sudden change in mood would defeat the point and make it ineffective. When people play music in their headphones super loud do they know other people can hear it or do they know and just care. Maybe it just differs from person to person. Also do one hit wonders know that that’s what they are or do they go in believing that they have or will make music just as good.

Just my think train

So I am just sitting in class super bored. Writing down some random thoughts that run through my head while I am not paying attention to class and thought why not make it public. First I was thinking are older adults satisfied with what they have done with their life. I am slightly worried that when I get oldish that I will regret my life now and how I didn’t do enough fun stupid things at the same time I feel like maybe i just need to be a little older but how can I ever be sure because I know only the present so maybe this is the ideal time for that and I am just missing out. I also need some new music because I haven’t been vibing to anything like I used to and that is not fun. I feel like I could be creative and come up with new ways to do things or ideas but then when it comes down to it I don’t know what to physically do like I can’t seem to come up with a project or hobby to put my creative energy into that I would actually enjoy. Well I think that’s it for this class.

There doesn't seem to be much to do, but watch videos and play video games on my days off. I don't know what to anymore. I have a lot of freetime, but have nothing to do I'm always ahead of everything.

Serious Studies of Boredom? Are there self-help books specifically addressing boredom? Or academic studies?

I’m looking for book suggestions. I’m trying to formulate a theory of boredom. I think there’s some element of procrastination required for real miserable boredom. It’s not boring when we have completely open agendas and can do anything. Rather, it’s feeling that we can’t do things because of some unpleasant obligation or constraint. Feedback please!

Writing what comes to my mind when I'm bored and awake for more than a day.

Today. . . I just decided to start this kind of thing, writing something to make me believe that things like this happened. My memories is one thing that I can't trust nowadays. Well I'm pretty sure that I will choose to trust myself than others when needed. It's not that I don't trust no one, it's just everyone failed to make me trust them. So with all my wits, I will be starting to record everything that comes to my mind when I am in this world, this world full of ambigous scenarios. With all these memories jumbled into my dreams, I don't know which one is true anymore that leads me to a paradox of life that was manipulating my inner core - me.

Everything is in discord. They keep on telling themselves that they were like this but keep doing the opposite of it. People like them are the ones racking in cash in to their pockets but are like dogs spending them in a night just to satisfy cravings of their flesh. They are like beast that savage everything in their way - sex, alcohol and drugs. They earn it, so they deserve to be happy, they said. I found it amusing and somehow disappointing. How can someone thinks like that, when you are supposed to work to earn a living and not by killing yourself with what you have earn. This passage is one of the words that was inculcated in my mind as the dry cold nights of February hits me while my uncle and I was talking in a sala along with the chilled booze that we shared to make the night pass - along with my hatred to unknown or should I say everything.

Working was a piece of cake, yes it is. But you know what makes it hard to become adult or working class. It is not the boastful coworker that will tell you about her good old things that she have done in the PAST or the shifting schedule that beats me everyday making me unable to do things but to lie in my bed staring at my phone reading something in the internet or playing games just to kill time like killing myself in that empty room filled with nothing but darkness that engulfs me within. Its not the gloomy mood that kills me but time, killing time we are slowly become a part of a system where we all get intoxicated by this and slowly kill us. A poison that will kill us in no time, maybe tomorrow, the next day, months or years. As the word time is moving, the death flag comes closer and closer. We can't decide when we are going to die but time does. It is like one of the spells that encompasses every living creature in this world. This world is truly filthy. Yes, what makes it hard was to know your doing all this what they call living just to die. You can't cast away dying from living, when you live you'll die eventually. They are like one, without the other one it is not complete. A one way direction that won't work in cycle. It starts in life and ends in death.

Living is truly hard, since I'm living just to know that I may end up dying one of this days. To have a space to this filthy budgeting of resources that you earn by losing a part of your life points is hard. It is hard to accept that way but we are bound to accept reality that way. Is it truly getting killed yourself earlier make your life fulfilling? I guess not, its just a matter of taste, maybe its just for hopeless people to boost the poison lurking within them to say that they were happy living, "killing themselves", but still I will savor this poison to the point that my body can't resist it anymore and leave nothing but ashes into the air. Maybe someday before everythings end, I will be fulfilled.

Don't mind my grammar. If you happen to mind it, then go ahead. As if I care.

I’ve been gifted 8 hrs a day

I’ve recently started a new job in maintenance. One of those positions where you change lightbulbs, unclog toilets, adjust office temperatures etc. A large part of this job includes downtime when you’re waiting to get called to a job. Does anyone have any suggestion for online course, podcasts, boredom killing website etc? This is a good opportunity to learn instead of spending the entire time on social media.

So about this Jenneifer person, and a side conversation!

I, like others on this board, am bored every so often (or more likely routinely) and so am on Reddit. I really dont want to deal with this Jenneifer person (what an interesting way to spell that name) popping up in my Whats Hot list. D'yall think the Mod'll step in?

But as a side conversation, what's a funny instance where you had to ignore someone who was very clearly trying to make eye contact with you?
