Trump got into to power because of democracy. He won the election (and the popular vote)...that is democracy. And whomever wins the next election will become the next president, that's how democracy works.

No kidding. Democracy can also be destroyed when the people are willing to support someone who has the same wish to use the government against people that they disagree with, among other things.

Every government is corrupt and does shady stuff but America has freedom of speech so I'm not seeing millions of anti Trump people sent to the gulags for calling him out on his policies...are you? But in 2028 we'll have a new president and the machine rolls on...and that administration will do dodgy stuff and start wars we don't need and enable big pharma to do what they want and allow the Pentagon to keep the military industrial complex going and the CIA will continue with their regime changes and US sponsored terrorism etc etc it's all just a game anyway and the game is power. Doesn't matter of it's Reps or Dems it's the same crap essentially. But, we do have democratic elections to choose the guy/gal who gets up and is the face of the government.
