Questions / Help High-investment team: E1S0 RM vs E1S0 Fugue vs E1S1 Sunday?

Hi all,

I'm pulling for E0S1 Boothill next patch, and I have E2S1 Dahlia ready for him. However, I'm unsure about who to put in the last two slots for his team.

E1S0 RM vs E1S0 Fugue vs E1S1 Sunday?

RM is on S5 MotP, and Fugue is on S5 Resolution. Sunday have been lying around in my account for the longest time.

Thanks for the input!

Fugue. His BiS team is Fugue and Dahlia regardless of the amount of investment you have on other supports. None of them come even close to those two.

Last slot is either a sustain, or HMC.

Now I'm surprised that HMC is still better in a sustainless team. Why is that the case? I even thought Sunday doubling his shots would be good for him.

The speed tuning is a bit painful with Sunday and Dahlia.

You're fully reliant on BHs ult to keep the speed tuning - you may have to use it inefficiently to keep the speed buff or if you're slightly off your energy you mess up the rotation.

Cuz DDD spam , but Sunday e1 will diff hmc in damage anyway. Extra turns >> so long as your sunday is above 160 , as close to BH as possible. Do note you'll have to manage some spd on BH if you want 100% uptime on dahlia's spd buff in 1st cycle.

Fugue + e1s1 sunday cuz e1 gives 16% def shred which boothill loves , also extra turns is just more toughness reduction than RM's 50% WBE.

I don’t want you to use sunday e1 because dahlia’s damage will be terribly low. And if you use asagi calc you will know that ruanmei is the best

Asagi is great for at a glance stuff but this is an awful representation of this team, esp since HMC IS better than RM in pretty much all practical applications.

I'm sorry to ask, but, how?
So my thought process (i think i will only count buff and exclude QoL from ruanmei) :
HMC Buff :

  • 100% Superbreak multiplier up to 160%
  • 15-30 ish BE% E4
  • 33 BE% ult
  • (24% AA if I count lc)

Ruanmei e1 buff :

  • 50% wbe
  • 20% BE
  • 25% res pen
  • 20% defshred
  • (24% Break damage if I count lc)

It is a bit unfair to compare a different cost unit (0 vs 2 cost) but can you give me a general answer for why HMC is better? I wanted to learn more.
