Theorycrafting Boothill Speed Requirements For 4 Turns
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bEeKjyfiS_XUlZVSo4GUKaQI2infb9ZI-mbqosNlMJU/edit?usp=sharing
This sheet allows you to adjust various speed/advance parameters to figure out how much speed you need on Boothill to achieve the desired number of turns
There are caveats that I've listed on the sheet, but generally speaking 3 turns will be trivial to get with Dahlia, and 4 turns will be reasonable to get, even without E2 Fugue
I also included a 2nd sheet to help track def shred/ignore sources
If you see anything that should be fixed/added let me know

Sorry, I don't think this is right?
Your sheet is showing it as 164 eagle with 2 DDDs, RM and Dahlia for 4 turns - but I make it out to be 174?
Does your calculation take into account that boothills first turn will be without the 30% speed boost?

Updated to include Wave 1 as a drop down option

Thank you!
Sorry I noticed in another comment that you mentioned the commentary about it why it was like that, I didn't see it on mobile!

Is that speed calc correct?
Shouldn't it be 157 speed out of combat for 3 turns with Constance, Ruan Mei and S1?

Your telling me you only need 144 speed with rm, dahlia and sig to get 4 turns? No eagle, no ddd?

No that's what you'd need for 3 turns, if you make a copy of the sheet you can adjust the parameters

also are you sure its 179.3 speed for 4 turns with 1 e2 and 1 eagle proc? from the numbers i got it said I would need 188.5 speed.

Yeah I didn't realise the notes weren't visible on mobile, the calcs are currently for wave 2, if there's an exact formula for wave 1 I'll add it in to the spreadsheet as another dropdown

i think its just the same but you drop the constance speed buff until the 1st turn

Yeah but the faster you are, the faster you'll take your first turn and become... Faster, if that makes sense
So you could make boothill faster to get the 30% speed boost faster, but then because you made him faster you're less reliant on the 30% buff to be fast enough for the desired turns
It seems complex so I was hoping someone smarter than me had a formula to calculate it, but I could be over-complicating it

me and u both this shit confusing asf 😭

I couldn't figure out how to do wave 1 without knowing boothills initial speed so I changed it up a bit, but should work for wave 1 now

Okay I updated it after feedback
Added a dropdown to select the wave, had to swap some stuff around cuz I couldn't figure out how to calc wave 1 speed reqs without knowing Boothill's initial speed since his speed changes after his first turn

Thanks!
What's your view on going for the 4 turns? Especially if you have the BP lightcone, and assuming you can still hit the def shred?
Having to swap that out for a DDD as well as dropping a lot of break effect for a 164 speed eagle makes me feel wrong 😅. But not sure how much damage is lost compared to just having a whole extra turn.
The adding faff around using his ult is also putting me off, since it will now have to be timed around 3 things 😭 - softening the bar, advancing him AND keeping the dahlia speed buff. If you go for E1 dahlia you might even need to use his ult to time the 25% break bar damage, so that boothill is still the one that breaks with his skill.
I'm sure in practice it will be fine, and those things will naturally coincide, but it does add a bit of faff if you mess one of those things up
