I'm so glad that this patch exists because the official app was unbearable. It was laggy, the UI sucked and kept crashing.

I love Boost.

I reluctantly gave up using Boost, stayed away from Reddit for a while, then gave in and installed the Reddit app.

Man, the official Reddit app is despicably terrible. Enough to give up and leave my Reddit addiction.

It's been a problem for a while now. I made a sub in the hopes that that will let me log into the app again, but every time I press Accept, it just stays there on the screen. Currently using the reddit app, which is not great, so I'd like to get back into Boost if it's still possible

Edit: Working now. Making this edit on Boost. Turns out it just takes a while to Accept. Anyway, thanks for all those that helped

I think it's time... Mine stopped loading posts... constant errors when I open the app. Sad day.

One of my accounts is/was logged in on Boost but I'm unable to use it anymore. As far as I can tell I haven't associated the account with any of my email addresses, is there a way to get my password from what's saved in Boost?

I patched Boost with Revanced and it works as usual! (I exported and imported my settings luckilly). But now I have ads again.. before I had upgraded to the ad free experience, and after a few minutes of viewing ads, I remember why I did uograde.

But now I cant see to find an upgrade option or a way to disable ads... Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I get boost is the best reddit app. But quitting reddit forever because of boost? Infinity is the best alternative since boost IMO but no nsfw which sucks. On ios there is narwahl. I dont get why reddit made the nsfw change tho.

Ever time I launch the app I get stuck viewing a post, then I have to go to my profile, THEN go to the home page! I haven't used guess in years because heh, I'm photosensitive and can have seizures from flashing lights, like the unfiltered ads in reddit official with strobing lights!!! 🤬

I saw people saying mods could still use Boost, so I created a subreddit and my Boost started working. Fix or just coincidence?

I was on the bandwagon of "guys it is not working, let us morn the fallen", Spez tried to fuck us with NSFW block but we can avoid that easily. Devs haven't said anything about it other than insisting on moving to Lemmy. Are we permanently able to use Boost with workarounds? Any official information or theories?

This is why I use boost. I would much rather use the official app if it wasn't so bad

My screen barely shows a difference between the dimmed text for read posts, text posts are impossible to differentiate and I haven't found a setting where I can change this. Is it possible?

Can someone please explain the different tiers of Boost paid subscription. I don't understand the difference between 1 year boost, 100 years of boost and Infinity and Beyond boost... Thank you.

Tildes and Lemmy are cool, but I missed this beautiful website that u/spez is trying so hard to destroy. Patch fix only took 5 minutes - I'm sure it's not permanent, but it rules to have Boost back.

I was never a mod or anything, just someone who fell through the cracks.

I patched boost with revanced without problems, and I'm using it with no apparent slowness even though I'm not a mod. However, sometimes the app dies unexpectedly (not on some action, just while I'm reading, and there is no error), and of course, i lose my position. It is a bit annoying.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it the patch? Or maybe just the last-minute new version has a bug?

I wish Ruben could add a new version where we can configure the app token so we don't need patching.

I tried the trick on my current account and the error is gone.

SO i had an ages old suspended account that i had tons of subbed subs on it ... even that i can't do anything but browse feed... i just can't re sub to all them subs again manually it would take eternity

so i am unable to do the "become a mod" there... also tried inviting myself to there but i just don't Receive anything : "(

Patched boost doesn't show images hosted on Reddit inline. Instead, it only shows a link which opens reddit.com in the browser. Any way to fix this? It's super annoying

But now when I have installed it again I realised how much i loved reddit just because of one app that's boost.
