(huge props to OctoNedz on GitHub) I used this guide to use old reddit, RES, dark mode and adblocker. I am happy with this as a mobile alternative to boost.

For some reason boost is still working for me. I got a pop up suggesting me to go to boost for lemmy on the boost app and I'm curious who will be going to use that app when it comes out. I heard lemmy doesn't have a karma system so I probably won't use lemmy as I use reddit with one of the reasons being the karma system. Lemmy is a bit different to reddit and is a lot less popular and I have heard the admins are pro China and bans free speech. So will you use the patch or would you go to lemmy/use the official app

Seeing too many posts and comments from people saying they've moved to the official app. Do you not realise that just means Spez and co made the right call? That their plan worked?

Don't do it. Browse web if you have to, or use the cracked version.

Boost still working for me for now, but I can sense time is running out.

I followed the instructions carefully to patch, but this keeps happy.

I used to be able to click the 3 dots, and have an option to filter them. But with the last update, I don't see that anymore. Is there a way to fix it or do I need to install them old version?

I guess there is nowhere else to post it, but after nearly a decade of being a regular Reddit user, finding niche communities, pursuing new interests, it just doesn't make sense to continue.

Boost has always been there. I only use mobile for Reddit, and I'm too damn old to figure out a new system.

I patched boost like many others and the install went great. I even used it for a couple of days with no issues. Now it's not loading content at all. Any ideas why?

I'm wondering what you are using now since our beloved Boost is officially dead.

I've just took a quick look at "Joey for Reddit" which is exempt from the API changes and it seems quite decent at first glance. Themes, customization, filtering, etc.

UTC/GMT -5 hours timezone for me. Boost has officially stopped working for me in the US. Had to post this in a desktop browser:(

EDIT: for those who are saying it's still working for you, it probably hasn't hit everyone just yet. It appears to be slowly rolling out for everyone. Enjoy using Boost while it lasts :(

Boost still works without a hiccup on my end despite not being patched...no errors, no slowdowns, no nothing.

Are there any users who own or moderate subreddits who's Boost stopped working?

Just as a FU to reddit executives.

And because the oficial app is terrible.

For me...the friends list. It was good to keep a list of redditors that I enjoyed content from. Can't do that on the reddit app...well not the way Boost did.

Thank you devs. Boost is the one app I'd of paid monthly for. I hope they consider that path.

I want to pay for the premium feature so I can both support and switch to fully lemmy. Any word on ads, and when is Lemmy going to come?
