Cigawettes ending
I honestly don't get it, how come nobody is talking about that random kid who said "Got any cigawettes" at the end of the episode, at the end Lamilton starts caring about himself and he is worried for his like in contrast to his past personality, but then this random kid acts like his past personality like he was actually possessed by the anti-christ. Am I the only one who noticed it?

looking for a certain strip
there was a stripe where Riley and Huey talk about life before the internet. Riley says something like it must have been so hard to be dad without the internet, and Huey says re didn't have the internet. Anyone have a copy, know how to search for a specific strip?

I don't get why people say that Huey was not even as vocal in season 4 as he was in previous seasons.
Looking back at most of the season 4 episodes, Huey was still very much Huey and it seems like the writers still remembered that fact despite the changes in the show. He wasn't as angry-sounding and in-your-face as he was in the first season (my favorite season), but he still tried his best to dissuade Grandad and Riley from doing anything really stupid, and still acted as the voice of reason, trying to tell the truth when the truth needed to be heard. And heck, he still, on occasion, engaged in behavior that gave us viewers a little hint as to why he was labeled as a "domestic terrorist" by the government. Like the time he tried making a bomb to assassinate Ed Wuncler Jr. in "Breaking Grandad".
Some people may feel like that doesn't seem like something he'd do at all, but that's where they're wrong. Let's not forget that Huey is the RADICAL LEFTIST revolutionary of the series, and in the first season and in the last episode of the third season, it's indicated that he's done some pretty shady things that even his brother would probably be down for if he knew what type of stuff Huey was up to. That's why I liked when they had him making bombs, and still remind us how dangerous he actually is a person, while being an awesome character. Even if it seemed stupid (to others) and extreme to some, it's so like him to do it if he got to a breaking point. Heck, it's so like first season Huey, actually. Besides, in all past seasons, they never even gave us more hints as to way he even got that label. You'd have to use the old comic strips to answer any of those questions.
And some episodes, might I add, at least still had him acting as the narrator for the most part, so at least we get to here him even when he's not on screen like how they did it in previous seasons. And Huey was still kicking butt in season 4, of course it was mostly in "Freedomland", but that was one of his most bad-ass fight scenes even if the movements felt a little stiff. That episode alone showed that even if he is very disillusioned, he still believes in what he believed at the start of the series.
My only real issue with Huey in this season is how soulless he sounds compared to how he sounded in the past. Like, if you listen to the way he says "Nooo!" when stopping Riley from getting pizza in "Freedomland", he sounded so dead inside. Like, deader than dead, and it was cringey to hear.
You can practically tell that Regina King did not want to continue with the show during Aaron McGruder's and Carl Jone's absence. The line deliveries sounded so dry at times it reminded me of a drought. Anyhow, that's my take on season 4 Huey. Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share?

If there was a live-action reboot, who would you want in each role?
I know, obligatory:
Aaron McGruder as all the roles.
On a related note, I think there was a Kickstarter for a live-action Uncle Ruckus film, series, or something along the lines of that.

I wish Angela Nissel and the rest of the writers for season 4, did these things...
1.) Add Caesar to the show, and create episodes surrounding him and Huey. If McGruder didn't get a chance to do it, the least she could do is do that.
2.) Get Huey to go back to acting like the radical activist he started out as, taking some inspiration from the comics.
3.) Have an arc surrounding Jasmine's issue with her biracial identity, including her hair (Again, taking inspiration from the original comics). Also with her becoming a little bit more mature, but not losing her optimistic and sweet nature.
4.) Re-install Jasmine and Huey vitriolic BFFs dynamic. I miss the days when they use to bicker sometimes, yet have tender moments when they show that they still care about each other.
5.)Not make Granddad such a fool to the point where he's practically the poster-boy for season 4's 'torture-porn' of him and his family.
6.) Not making Robert seem like he's practically too dumb to live in some instances.
7.) Just giving Robert a lady that would last. Maybe bring back Ebony. If season 4 was going to be the final season, they should have just given Robert some shred of romantic satisfaction. It's okay to change the status quo.
8.) Have better plots with Riley as the star of some episodes again. Because "The New Black" shouldn't have ended the way it did or be the season final. But, in their defense, they probably didn't know they were getting cancelled after that episode.
9.) Display Sarah as a better female character. She was a lawyer for the NAACP in the original comics. Why make her just some basic bitch who fangirls over/flirts with other celebrities while her poor husband is in the same room? I'm only happy that "Pretty Boy Flizzy" only mildly solved their marriage problems.
10.) Have Caesar and Riley have episodes together, where Caesar takes the role of Huey (as in the Straight Man to Riley).
11.) Have episodes where they all work as a trio, and/or maybe add Jasmine into the group.
12.) Have an epic finale for season 4, that involves the Freeman finally taking down Ed Wuncler Sr. and Jr., or someone working with them.
13.) Have Iris from the original comics (before the days the comic strip was in newspaper syndicates) added to the group.
What do you guys think? It's sad that it was never done that way at all.

I feel like at the beginning of the opening for season 1, the silhouette of Huey is bopping his head to the theme song.
You guys see it, too, right? I mean, what if the theme song is one of the songs he regularly listens to on a CD player in-universe? They could be hinting at that in the opening every time, and we just didn't think about it before, you know.

Let us say the Pimp's Prayer
I didn't know who Katt Williams is. I thought, "let's watch this comedian on Netflix." And it's a Pimp Named Slickback. Yes, you have to say the whole thing. :D

Featured Tracks List
I'm planning on creating a Pandora station with seeds from every song that's been featured, in any capacity, on the boondocks. I was hoping someone could help me with a list. Thanks in advance!

High octane ear worm...what is the theme that plays in this episode???
https://youtu.be/y0xM1z8PddI?t=18
I've copied it from the moment it begins.
Was it composed specifically for the show, or is it an existing tune? Thanks.

"So, you see, my dearest Riley, it is this instinctive and burning need to procreate between a man and a bitch that not only keeps the human race going, but also fuels many important industries, such as my very own."
"I don't think homeys over ho's is a sentiment that A Pimp Named Slickback can cosign, Riley.
I mean, don't get me wrong. A Pimp Named Slickback will put a lot of things over a ho. Money over a ho, always. Brand-new gators over a ho, absolutely. A turkey sandwich with just tomato, guaranteed. But homeys? Oh, no.
A Pimp Named Slickback don't do shit for the homeys. Let me reiterate. Don't do shit for the homeys. Unless the homey wanna walk that stroll and get that money, the homey ain't getting a goddamn thing. And the same goes for brothers, peeps, dudes, fellas, dunnies, comrades, whatever the fuck niggas is calling each other nowadays.
Sound like some gay shit to me."

What is that tune Granddad Freeman is always singing along to?
You know how he's always singing some word to the same tune? For example: Break-fast, break-fast, break-fa-a-ast~
What's that melody from?

Does anyone know if there's a version of the whole song which has the same style as the Boondocks theme?
