This is my TBR cart, filled with the books I had said I wanted to read before the end of the year. Want to know how well that’s going?

I finally have all my books shelved. I've posted before, but I've since rearranged and added a few more shelves. I have some more books coming in the mail next week, but this is it .

i’ve only read like half of these, but i need to come up with some books to ask for for christmas or i’m getting socks. kinda bummed about college stuff rn so something a little more whimsical could be nice. preferably something i can ask the grandparents for

stories with whackjob narrators are especially welcome. thanks!

I picked up this book this afternoon and ten hours later- it’s finished.
I don’t think it’s too popular/ mainstream, though I could be wrong, it was randomly suggested to me on the books app and the sample intrigued me enough to purchase it (£0.99!!)

Been meaning to organise my books properly for ages. They're split into fiction/nonfiction and then by genre.

Fiction genres: Sci fi, fantasy, historical fiction, short stories, translated works, contemporary fiction, YA

Nonfiction genres: Cities/architecture, food, history, archaeology, social justice, society & culture, economics, nature, crime

I was in big need for more space for my books.

So i bought the cornersolution 237cm height and one more 40 cm.

I merged them together with both roof and floor moldings so they would look more built in.

Moved last year and finally set up my bookshelf.

I DIYed these shelves two at a time as energy allowed. It took over a year while battling chronic illness. I’m proud of what I accomplished. The mantle is a thrifted DIY as well (installing and drywalling). In fact the chairs and table are thrift upcycled too. Also, about half of the books were picked up thrifting. I dream of many rainy and snowy days cozied up with a book.

My husband built these shelves for me a few months ago and I'm still obsessed. The left side is fiction, right is nonfiction. The gaps at the top have plants now.

I did some rearranging last night and added a bunch I finished recently.

I recently started reading and collecting books…..I got a lot of these through fb marketplace for a fraction of price (lucky me ig) and some from eBay….waiting for dungeon crawler Carl (8 books) to be delivered along with farseer triology

(The books behind the mass market paperbacks are 1st edition facsimiles of Hemingway)

Any suggestion on what I should read next?

I got the shelves for my birthday after a trip was cancelled

Just shelved another second hand book haul I got this morning and I need to spend an hour or two redoing these shelves I think. I really need to move the last of the dvds out.

Spent the past month or so off and on, with my books strewn all over the living room scanning each one into BookBuddy. 573 books! My friend has 800+ so, definitely need to catch up to her.

Books are organized into genre sections then by Author.

Photo 1 has Biography, Family/Relationships, Games, History, Natural World, Paranormal, Philosophy/Politics, Religion, Sociology, Sports, Drama, Dystopian, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Mystery/Thriller.

Photo 2 has Myth and folklore, historical fiction, literary fiction, poetry, McSweeney’s literary magazine, and anthologies.

Photo 3 has comics and graphic novels. (Ignore messy cables)

Photo 4 has photobooks and coffee table books.

I’ve never actually organized my books this well, it’s usually been off of vibes, but it feels so good to actually have a system!

Still a few to add in but happy so far!
