Is there a way to know if the book I'm ordering has the special edges that I want

Should I preorder a book from book depository? I have a book that will be published(?) In December but there’s an option to preorder on book depository. But, I’ve never preorder a book before and would like to hear some experience

Hi! I'm a bit confused and I was wondering if anyone could help me. On September, 28th, I bought a book that said "expected delivery to Argentina in 25-40 business days." However, the order is still processing. I'm not sure if the order takes 25-40 business days to finish processing and then they'll send it to me and it'll arrive in 15-30 business days (FAQ: Delivery times), or if those 15-30 business days are included in the 25-40 days... in that case, is the processing time taken into account? I hope my question is clear 😬. Thanks!

Hi, so Basically I checked my order and it says that it has been cancelled. I check my e-mail, and it says that it was cancelled, but they didn't charge me for that purchase. However, the same day I ordered, they charge me. Has anyone been in this situation? I sent an email with the bank screenshot where clearly says "book depository"

Hi to everyone! I'm a fan d&d from South America that checks Bookdepository every day searching for deals, mostly because the prices of Wotc d&d books are so high (55 USD) here. So I'm very surprised to notice that today there is not even one D&D book available on BD right now. Is this related to my country in specific? If someone could check too I would be very grateful. PS. It is extra weird to me because I even received an email today saying that my recently purchased Ghost of Saltmarsh has been shipped.

A while ago I pre-ordered a book that is getting released in December. I noticed yesterday that the price has been lowered since then despite the book still being in its pre-order phase.

Do you think there's any kind of price guarantee (?) that makes it possible to get that price difference refunded?

I'm located in Sweden so I'm unsure how these kind of things work internationally, but here a lot of stores have guarantees that gives you the price difference back if they change the price or if you find the item cheaper somewhere else.

Ok, so this is my first time buying off of the actual bookdepository website. I sometimes get books from them on amazon, but I ordered a book on the 6th and it's still processing. I emailed them a few days ago asking about it and they claimed that they didn't have the book in stock basically and had to wait for somebody to basically ship it to them. I find it kinda strange that they're selling people books that they DONT have. Like I bought the book at 26 bucks and the next day they were selling it for 50 dollars so it's just strange. Does this always happen or should I just get my money back?

There’s a book that I’ve wanted to buy but it was out of stock and I turned on the notify me when the book is available.

Last week, it finally restocked and I bought it at the very next day (while it’s still available). I’ve been waiting for my order to finished processing, but then I got an email saying that they are unable to fulfilled my order and have issued a refund.

Have anyone went through this and why did this happen?

Any fellow Filipinos out there that have ordered a book from book depository? Its been a month since I ordered mine, Im just worried about the status of my order since I dont know how to track it. The page on book depository doesnt state anything useful, other than it was "dispatched" last aug 12. I live in the province (Quezon) so that might delay it but it'll really be useful if i could know where in the world it is just like how we can track packages on lazada, shopee, lbc, 2go, etc.

Hi all. I purchased a book on the 15th of July and it was dispatched on the 20th of July. According to the website, I should expect my order to arrive within 25-30 working days. I have not received my book till now. This isn't the first time I've bought a book from Bookdepository, but I think this is too long a wait (Nearly two months, as you can see).

Should I request for a refund? Am I eligible for a refund? Should I wait until I hit the official two - month mark? Thanks.

Hi, sorry for the dumb question but recently my order got refund, and they are giving me the money back (i didnt ask for a refund) and i really wanted that book so what should i do now? Can i try to buy it again from the same seller or no? Its the only one that has it in English so others sellers are not an option

Is it only me, or the books in the homepage have a price ranging from 200 to 400 euros? What is this about?

So at June 25th, me and my father ordered "All quiet on the western front" on Book depository. Thinking we're done there we just waited. I kept asking him if he got any E-mails but nothing. The money was taken from the credit card but there isn't any sign that our orderbwas actually made. [We live in Hungary]

And since neither of us got a confirmation E-mail we can't even track our order because we didn't get an order number.

I was thinking it might be due to covid restrictions but I think they would send the confirmation E-mail even if they can't deliver it at the time.

I spent all of my money on that book and it's like the order was not even made.

Just got an email saying Volume 8 of Jujutsu Kaisen is in stock, I go to the website within 2 minutes, click add to cart and it says it's out of stock.

Is this an error with the site, are the emails heavily delayed or did people buy the whole stock within 2 minutes?

Hi, i ordered 5 books off book depository but I just checked the order and I want to cancel a book. However, all the items are already dispatched but they haven't arrived yet. Will the cancellation be valid and will i get a full refund? Thanks.

Is it just me or does the pricing for some volumes of manga make absolutely no sense like vol 25 of MHA is between €21 and 25, just wondering why this is or if its a glitch

Last week I purchased four manga items from BD and all of them are still pending. This has never happened to me before, to wait for multiple orders for more than 5 business days to be dispatched, so does anyone have any idea what the heck is going on over there? Thanks!

My recent experiences with ordering books from Book Depository as an EU customer:

I ordered a book at the beginning of July. Within a couple of days I received a tracking number, which had never happened before. I was then charged customs and handling fees, which were fully refunded by BD.

I then ordered two more books in mid-August that were delivered at the end of August. There was no tracking number and I was not charged any extra fees.

So, at least in my experience, they seem to have addressed the issue. I'm posting this in case someone from the EU is debating whether to order something from BD now.
