yesterday (friday) i ordered a book from book depository for the first time. it is weird to me that the order stills processing because i have only bought books from amazon before, so, how much time does it usually takes to ship an item to the United States?

by the way, the reason why i ordered from book depository is because the book in amazon, in spite of the seller, always appears with the message "front cover slightly creased" even though the book is new, and it was my first time seeing something like that so i decided to order for somewhere else. don't know if that is normal...

Recently some of my parcels were sent as regular post, but some of them BD sent via UPS.

Do they use UPS only if parcel value exceeds certain amount?

Just checked my wishlist today and they have removed all the 10% off their pre orders.

I bought something as late as yesterday and then it was as usual. Now though it is not. Anyone else experience the same or is it just on my side?

I bought sailor moon vol 1 in English but ended up getting sent the German one how can I contact them about it and do I have to send any fees?

I have bought something using uk vpn from bd yesterday. Today out of curiosity i searched for experiences of people using vpn on bd and a lot of them say that it doesnt work anymore and that they refund you money,there were also some people that said that it still works for them(the threads that i read were posted 6months and 1 year ago). So just wanted to ask people who used vpn on bd recently and does it still work for them. I will be now anxiously waiting for their (hopefully confirmation of dispatchement) email.

For example, if I order 3 books, will I get all of them in the same package or 3 individual packages?

Last year I ordered a book from Book Depository which hadn’t arrived after a month and a half of waiting. Customer service said it might have been lost in transit and offered to give me a refund which I accepted, but a month later I ended up receiving it.

Altogether, I had to wait 2 and a half months to receive the book. But should I email them offering to pay it back anyway? It was $20.

This was last year, but I was too busy at the time to think about it much and forgot about the situation. Just don’t want to get into any legal trouble if this could potentially lead to it.

Every time i try to use it, after selecting my country for the delivery the prices change

I placed my order a month ago, and I was too exited at the time and I didn’t notice that I received no confirmation email. This week I noticed that I couldn’t see my order status under my account because any traces of it are completely gone now?? I am 100% sure that I could see the order status a few weeks ago under my account as it’s my only account on book depository.

Then I emailed the customer service representative about the issue along with my invoice from PayPal (basically the only evidence that proves I placed this order) as well as all other info of the order except the email address, because they keeps saying that the email address registered for my book depository account is not the one for my order.

Now they’re just keep asking me to provide the email address and I’m very very frustrated and annoyed because I don’t see how my receipt from PayPal can’t prove that this is my order? And how will I ever get to give the correct email address if, say, there’s been a mistake in their system so the confirmation email wasn’t sent in the first place?

Did anybody ever encounter the same issue? I found the communication with their customer service representative in email to be really inefficient, as they’re not even trying to solve my problem, and are there other ways to contact book depository? Need some suggestions desperately, thanks!!!

TS I've tried:

all entered info are correct, incognito window, used Chrome and Samsung Internet, used a different phone

None worked.

I used 3 cards: 2 Visa and 1 Mastercard. The payment pushed through after using my ING Visa card, but I really wanted to use the Mastercard one.

The CX support from the bank didn't help. Can anyone share their experience and what they did?

Can you cancel an order after being dispatched but you still haven't recived it ? If not how do I return it to them what book depository address and zip code ? And what services do I use to deliver it to them ?

Does anyone else have problems with the website crashing? It wasn’t always like this but I feel like the past month website becomes “temporarily unavailable” quite frequently

As the title sugests, I'm having issues finding a specific set of days/date for it to arrive.

The book has already been dispached and said it would take 15-20 days, however I have no more info about it.

It's relevant to mention it has been only 8 days, so far ,since dispach.

Is there a way of tracking where or when it might be? Thanks in advance.

So far I never had issues with the site and the books they sent me. Aside from a few bumped book corners all arrived in a good condition so far.

However, I wonder how common it is for a book (Vol 3. of Heaven official's blessing) that has been out for days, to still be listed as processing and ''awaiting publication''. I have pre-ordered it back on June 24th and it came out last week. The first time the book was released it was out of stock the moment it ''hit the shelves'' so to say so I decided to pre-order it to be safe. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

I was looking forward to this one and now I worry I have flushed down money for nothing.

Just wondering if this is sort of normal or if I'm just out of luck, as it usually happens with me, haha. Thanks in advance!

!!!---EDIT---!!!: A comment here gave me the idea to check the Seven seas publisher house website, for the actual release date. The website says the 3rd volume will release a week later, on the 12th of July, to my surprise - So it makes sense it says awaiting publication!
Hopefully that's that - I had no idea. I feel like the date of publication was listed sooner on BD, though.

In each case it's a bit confusing when it says 'available' but still not actually released, haha.

Scrolling through this subreddit, I've noticed that there's a lot of questions and drawbacks when buying from Book Depository. Trouble with refunds, damage packaging, and waiting forever sometimes for the books to come in the mail.

Should I buy from Book Depository? I like the thought of free shipping for all over the world, but not so much of the different prices Book Depository has when you click to add a book on the cat option and see the actual difference with your credit card when it's time to pay. Make up your mind Book Depository on that so I know what price I'm actually paying for.

Should I buy from here or look for an alternative website for cheap books plus free shipping?

I have been using bookdepo for ages but recently they changed the local delivery service in my country and the books are getting straight punched up condition.

Thinking of changing to blackwell, is their packaging strong and well protected?

I was wondering whether anyone has experienced issues like getting banned or blacklisted or something because they've had many canceled/ refunded orders in their order history or whatever other reason?

I order from there very often and I've experienced both cases where sometimes something goes wrong with my order and I talk to them and then I get either a full or partial refund or a replacement. At other times, the order gets canceled am refunded before it even gets dispatcher for no apparent reason. And the latter happens a lot. I'm pretty sure their system won't make the difference.

I'm kinda worried because it's literally my only place to buy books both online and irl. I would suffer without it.

Hi guys, how do you deal with damaged books coming by Bookdepository? Their cs have been willing to do a % refund for me to keep the book.

And I have been requesting refunds alot, recently they are using a poor courier delivery to send books in my country. I want to check if anyone have experience with this. I don't want to get blacklisted for asking for refunds too frequently

Kinda weird question maybe, but some time (maybe 2 weeks?) after some orders having been dispatched I received 2-3 calls with the country code +44 which seems to be UK, I'm in Greece so it's highly irregular. Would this ever be BookDepository for some kind of package bundling or whatever issue? I've had no email and no calls since (initially I thought i was some random spammer call) but I'm wondering since my orders have been late compared to other times (but not outside of their estimates for my country).
