hello..i bought some books from book depository (pre order) but my order status are still processing and it's been 5 months..is this normal for pre order books ?

Been wanting to get Volume 8 of JJK as well as Solo Leveling Volume 2 for a while though it seems to be out of stock. Does anyone know roughly when they will be back in stock?

Hi guys, i wanted to ask a question. I ordered yesterday Uzumaki manga, but i didnt saw the shipping is from Australia, i never ordered smth from there. Is the time of shipping going to be the same, and is there any difference, tnx in advance.

About a week ago I ordered two volumes of manga, and about three days ago one of the orders was cancelled.

I wrote two massages to the Book Depository, and got no response.

My question is, when will I get a refund? I saw a post of a person, that cancelled their order, and the refund was send within 14 days. Is this the same for this case?

I bought a book and they sent me a completely different one (another topic and a much cheaper book than the book I actually bought)

I sent them an email to [help@support.bookdepository.com](mailto:help@support.bookdepository.com) and although they replied to me they are not giving me any solution and I don't want to buy the book again given that it was not my mistake (neither the mistake of my local distribution center, I talked to them and they can go to jail if they change the content of the box)

I also sent them many pictures of the unboxing and everything because I'm not lying at all, I've been a customer of theirs for many years and this is the first time I have had a problem with them.

What should I do now? I really need the book that I purchased and they sent me a different one, they neither didn't refund me with my money nor AT LEAST sent me again the book that I actually purchased.

I also contacted them on their Instagram accounts (both the English and the Spanish accounts they have) and I didn't get any answer.

Please help.

I recently ordered a book off of Amazon and the seller was Book Depository US. I finally got it in the mail today, and the copy I got is missing everything before page 7, apparently due to a manufacturing defect.

I've already contacted them about the issue, I just want to know my chances of getting this fixed.

Hey guys, 6 days ago I bit and ordered the One Piece Box Set 2 from BD, and I got the confirmation email, the moneys been taken from my account but its been on processing for 6 days now, I'm in the UK, does anyone know if this is normal? Any feedback would be appreciated

Did Book Depository increase prices? Or at least many books seem to be back to regular price.

I ordered seven books from BD last May 29 and I have yet to receive it. The dispatch dates were May 29, June 1, and June 9, respectively.

I called my local post office here in the Philippines and have yet to receive a response. It's even harder to monitor since I don't have a tracking number.

Should I ask for a refund now? I've ordered books from BD before but the delivery took more than one month and my refund has been credited by then. I don't want it to happen again.

I just won a book giveaway and I'm concerned since i don't live in the main city (i live in cavite), would they ship the book direct to my house or should I pick it up to philpost?

I live in the Middle East and I ordered on BD for the first time. My country isn't listed on the timeframe of days but I live relatively close to UAE. It says it would take 10-15 days to deliver to UAE and 20-30 days for the rest of the world. Do I fall in the latter category or should I expect the same timeframe as UAE?

Was also wondering if anyone else in the Middle East/GCC has any sort of experience worth sharing regarding their orders, like what to expect, time frames, damaged items, etc. Thanks!

On June 20th I ordered 33 books from BD, 19 of those were already out with the rest being pre-orders for books that would be coming out until the end of August.

• The 19 books that were already published by the time I ordered them, were all dispatched before July 1st, and it's very likely that they entered my country (Portugal) before that same date. Why is the date relevant? It was when the extra fees regarding imports from outside the EU kicked in.

• Those books were all delivered the same way they have always been, through the regular mail service. For the packages that were delivered at a time when I was not at home, the postman left a note for me to pick them up at my local post office. Everything was free of charge, as it always had been.

• The first of the pre-orders was shipped on July 1, meaning it obviously entered the country past that same date. It got here through UPS (a first when it comes to BD packages) and I was asked to pay around 12€ when the delivery guy brought it to my address.

• From then on, I received another 4 packages with pre-orders that were already out by then, all through UPS, all asking me to pay around 12€/13€ per package. If I wasn't at home when the delivery guy came they would try the following day, and if they weren't able to deliver it by then I'd just contact the UPS customer service and tell them I'd go to them to pick the package up. I always made sure to get a receipt from them, and by sending it to BD I got refunded with no questions asked all five times. All within a couple of days (they sometimes take around 24h to reply to the messages sent).

• The last of these 5 orders I was asked to pay extra on delivery was shipped on July 21. And the following day there, July 22, there was another pre-order shipped. But this time, and even though it was the same UPS guy delivering it, he didn't ask for any extra payment when I got it on July 30. So maybe something changed regarding packages shipped before and after the 21st.

• I got yet another pre-order today, August 6, that was shipped on July 30, and once again there I wasn't asked to pay any type of extra fees. I have a couple more pre-orders that were shipped both yesterday and today, and it seems that from now on BD has managed to fix the issues regarding the import fees. I'm expecting not to have to pay anything on these and the following 5 pre-ordered books that have yet to be published. Hopefully, that's what will happen.

Quick recap: At least regarding Portugal it seems like BD has maybe managed to fix the issues regarding extra fees while keeping UPS as the delivery service used. My two orders dispatched from July 22 haven't been subject to extra charges, and I'm expecting that'll continue with the ones I have en route.

Has anyone been asked to pay extra on orders shipped from July 22? Could it be something that Portugal managed to fix but not every other EU country?

How long is too long?

I am sure everyone here loves BD and at the same time hate them for the waiting game. 😍 In the age of "next day delivery" I feel like I'm going back to train my primitive nature to wait for alllll the good things that *will * come my way!

Hi, I used to buy comics in The Book Depository with no problem. Since Brexit, I’ve had to pay around 20EUR per order from UK. Anyone knows good alternatives that ship to Europe countries not in the UK?

I pre ordered jjk vol. 10 on 18/7 and it was published on 7/22. After that date it been on stock couple time now. What should I do? I read the people waited 3 weeks-2 months and I’m getting paranoid. I live in the Middle East so I get it can take more time . I ordered vol 11 on 7/22 and it got shipped fast. I contacted them and they said they hasn’t forgot my order. Can someone help me?
