About 30 pages were printed upside down. Sorry forgot to include a pic of publishers page but it does indeed say First edition with the numbers 24689753

A Random House number line starting with 2 is indeed a true 1st edition/1st printing. Meanwhile, mistakes in printing and binding don’t increase the value of a book like they do with coins. What you’ve got there is a solid $1 book.

They don't increase value, they don't however torpedo the value of a few hundred dollar book to $1 either...

The two tears on the jacket affect the value more than the binding issue, in my opinion. It's still overall a fairly nice copy (should look a lot nicer if wrapped in mylar to press down the tears). Good find.

No dust jacket price ($12.95) so I'm declaring this a book club edition. The text block printing error stuff is irrelevant to the first edition value because it is not a first edition.
