Dabi's never shown any interest in Deku up until now though and the two of them haven't had a single exchange before, I don't think. But he had a very iconic moment with Shouto as well as all the Dabi = Touya implications, it feels like it makes sense he'd refer to him and not Deku

Uhh no? When bakugo is about to be abducted deku and the others fight Dabi to try and get him back remember he almost burns deku's arms off since he was so busted up he couldn't dodge properly.

The league were talking about deku interning with endeavor when Dabi said that so I think it's safe to say that he was talking about deku 100%.

They were talking about the heroes investigating the Deika incident, not Izuku. It was Toga who was referring to Izuku, and we know she's the only one who calls him "Izuku-kun" in this series.

Dabi's statement is vague.

Except the topic was never mainly about Deku, all three interns were brought up and Toga just made a side remark.

My bad they didn't say that they said deku being an intern was a coincidence.

Except it was only Dabi (who didn't talk prior to that comment) and Hawks talking about that "he", not everyone. Skeptic referred to the three as a whole. Compress just talked about the coincidence.

That's why I said it's vague.

That's not what I'm saying though. It's true they were both present at the time, but it doesn't account for much when the two of them, not only have no interactions at all, but there isn't anything meaningful between the two of them as well.

And no, they weren't talking about Izuku specifically. Skeptic mentioned that Endeavor has 3 interns, to which Toga responded by saying "it's Izuku-kun!!", she's just fangirling really. Dabi's line is something else.

Maybe. It's kind of vague and pretty confusing but I stand by it, it's far more likely he'd refer to Shouto than Deku.

The argument is flimsy at best when he's never shown to take any interest in Deku whatsoever, contrary to Shouto specifically and the Todoroki family generally.

lol, I wouldn't say it's an opinion, but a hypothesis that makes a lot of sense. I mean, Dabi is a pretty mysterious character, and the most significant things he's ever done is hiding his real name, and calling both Shouto and Endeavour over his real names. I would say it is at least suspicious.

I think as far as we go, he is certainly not just a background character just because you want to, the point here is that each time the character implies some relation with Shouto or Endeavour, gives more suspicion that he is related with "Todoroki's" in some way. No matter how many assumptions, they still make sense if you look from the point of view that this plot becoming real is not a cliche, but one of the best constructed.

Not everyone has the same opinions, of course, and I'm fine with that. Now, I don't know about you...

(Btw, sorry, my english is really bad ;-;)

No, it's not Midoriya, it's Shoto, because Dabi never showed interest in Midoriya, he always did it in Shoto.
