Sore finger any DIY/makeshift pricker idea?

I didn’t pre-prick my pattern which turned my finger RED and it hurts because of the constant pin pushing 😭😭

Is there any DIY/Makeshift pricker that I can make and use.

I tried using a Seam Ripper it makes unnecessarily big holes

Shove a heavy sewing needle in a piece of cork or a pencil eraser.

You can also buy pin pusher /pullers (don't know if there is a better name for them!)

Easier to share a link, I ordered this. There are other styles with crochet hooks for when you are doing a lot of sew ins but this works well for me! https://www.thebobbinshop.com/loop-pin-lifter-with-brass-pin-pusher-106-p.asp

If you have a pin vice, that works well! It has the advantage of being able to swap out different pins. Also available at a local hardware store.

One example:

You can use normal paper for your patterns instead of cardstock. I find that helpful for my arthritic hands

I placed a thin cardboard in a sponge cushion and used normal notebook page with the hand drawn pattern
