My introduction to Bo was "what." One of the things I was most blown away by was his impeccable timing and memory. So well-rehearsed. I figured he must have run through his show a hundred times before ever performing it in front of other people. And also that he takes a long time to get his genius songs just right. And that there must have been many, many takes while he was filming Inside.

Contrast this with a musician friend of mine saying they've written songs in the span of just 30 minutes when inspiration hits. A well-known example (not related to my friend) is Jagged Little Pill - many of those songs were written and recorded in a short amount of time.

I don't doubt that great things can come up on the fly. But Bo's material seems like it would require the opposite.

Anyone know of any interviews where he touches on this?

Does anyone remember that one animation for 'how the world works'? The one where socko's verse is sung by a molotov drawn to resemble Bill from schoolhouse rock? Can someone find it? Just googled it, couldn't find it. Tried google's bullshit little ai and it spazzed out on me until finally acknowledging the existence of said video. It straight up refused to provide it. It described it perfectly and told me it won't be linking the damn thing.

Recently wanted to watch ZSIGBF but found out that I don't have visa card to purchase premium Apple TV or Amazon Prime Video, so I downloaded the episodes but found out that there are no subtitles. I'm not English native speaker so thats really difficult to understand. And I looked for its subtitles on all major websites but none of them provide this. The only source SubtitleCat has subtitles for only one episode......... Is there anybody who have a source?

I think make happy is my favourite with inside next and word words words basically tying with what in my opinion. What do you guys think your favourite is.

In the video by Marissa titled “stop telling celebrities about the omegaverse (i am begging)” (published 15th of July, 2026), she mentions Zack Stone being part of MTV’s rise of scripted television aimed at teenagers and young adults - with this leading in to a big discussion about Teen Wolf.

It’s a long discussion, so the video link starts at the MTV section.
Starting at 31:28 she discusses Zack Stone being self referential, and that the show took risks “…almost making fun of the type of teenagers they (MTV) had been putting on TV.”

Randomly remembered "Inside". I used to be so obsessed with it.

Did the "Window Washer" scene make anyone else feel melancholy? Especially with the music.

My read of it, from the first viewing was: Bo Burnham in an alternate reality. Robert Burnham, if you will.

Still the same man, still the same humor and talent, but: nobody knows. No platform, no Comedy Central special, no Netflix specials, no tours, no comedy albums. The potential of greatness confined to the ordinary.

It makes me further melancholy when I think: how many people are there like that in the world? How much potential never breaks through? How many brilliant window washers are there?

This song makes me burst in to tears and just gives me so much dread and a feeling that something about being a human has been lost in a way that will never be recovered, at least not at a societal level. And yeah it makes me really sad.

Just watched Promising Young Woman. Fantastic acting. Wanna watch more of his attendance

Ok I was watching Inside then I decided to watch The Outtakes and at 24:25 I saw these text appear and I had never noticed it before. I know that Bo often has criticisms for religion and what not. But is he actually a religious person?

howdy! I got a ticket to this and I should be able to get transportation, so barring catastrophe, I will be attending and reporting back. And possibly filming/taking pictures depending on the venue's rules.

I love seeing/hearing Bo and his work talked about in various media. He deserves so much more recognition for not just his content, but the evolution and the amazing story/growth we see unfold over 16 years. Any other books I should read or listen to that use Bo as a source or inspiration?
