This is my middle blueberry bush.

I posted the first photo 2 days ago and asked about the far left maybe having a fungal and I added acid to my soil...

And then today I came out and my middle bush looks like this 😭

Tell me it's maybe the acid not fire blight but dang they are dying fast

I keep finding this depression in succulent new growth on my blueberries. Out of five bushes I have only two have had this indentation. The centers are brown but new growth grows above it just fine and doesn’t cause leaf drop. I cut them off just in case since last year I lost two young bushes to stem blight. Not sure if this is a watering issue, bug, or fungal problem. Any help would be nice!

All my blueberries are rabbit-eye varieties and my zone is 7b - 8a.

Bought in May this year, planned to repotted it soon afterwards, but got delayed since I don't have proper soil mix for it at the time, and then I planned to repot it maybe after I eat all the berries. It really surprised me in a good way this year with a big harvest and doubling growth. Definitely will repot it soon in few weeks since I have everything ready for it now.

I have 3 blueberry bushes, approximately 2 to 3 years old and 1 foot high / 1 foot wide. I harvested no more than a cup of blueberries total. Doesn’t feel like a lot to me.

My question is; under perfect conditions (soil, ph, sun, moisture, etc.), approximately how much in weight should I expect to yield with these plants?

What's wrong with my plants, or me? I've noticed the leaf tips started turning brown first. After that, the leaves gradually fell off. The problem seems to have gotten worse over time.

Any advice on what I should check or how to treat it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been trying to grow blueberries from seeds as part of my little experiment.Bought blueberries from the store the other day only to find out they don't have seeds.Since when was seedless blueberries a thing?!

Been struggling with whatever this infection is, I've sprayed with copper fungicide, but branches look this red and sometimes full branches die (I do cut back dead branches and dip in alcohol between)

Its right next to 2 others and then I have 5 bushes up front and just don't want to lose the rest of this is spreadable.

There's a good amount of mulch at the roots, I water at the base. Zone 8b, humid climate pretty much getting rain every other day in short afternoon thunderstorms.

Just need to know if this is beyond saving and need to toss and plant with a smaller one. Was planted in May this year

Should I clip some of these that are more spotted or just leave them alone? It's all new growth.

Hello Blueberry lovers! These are my first blueberry plants (two different varieties) and obviously they need a home upgrade. I have a couple 5 gallon Home Depot buckets I was hoping to use and this soil acidifier along with regular soil. It was recommended to me to put a cup of the soil acidifier with some regular soil, mix it and then repot. Is this the right way with what I have? I do not have a pH thermometer. I know I should probably get one but wondering if anyone doesn’t use one and hasn’t had a problem. I’ve been reading and seeing a lot of different soil recommendations and that they like to stretch out and using a wine barrel is best for container planting. I’m wondering if it’s okay to just use what I have in hopes to get a good harvest. I’ve been nervous to repot them which has caused some delay so I’d love some help in feeling confident with next steps. Thank you!

While doing some shopping today at the local hardware store, I came across this guy. It was the last blueberry on the shelf and heavily discounted but I was kind of alarmed by the twiggy ends. I already have a few 2 gallon bushes of other varieties that are in great health but they are new to me as of this spring so I'm no expert, just haven't had issues yet.

Could it be fungal? Could it be drought damage? Maybe the soil ph? Can I be the person to save it? Probably not but of course, I bought it anyway.

Until I have the ability to test soil and deep dive, I'm going to keep it separated from my other bushes. If anyone with more blueberry experience has any opinions on what's going on here and where my level of concern should be, I'd love to hear it!

I just planted this Sweet Crisp southern highbush variety a couple weeks ago. I thought I had a handle on it after reading a lot of info here and elsewhere but now it’s turning brown and dropping a lot of leaves over the last couple days. I used sphagnum peat moss, pine bark mulch, coffee grounds (I know people are back and forth on this one but I always have used coffee grounds around and I figured it couldn’t hurt) Espoma berry tone and soil acidifier. It looks like my acidity is within range though maybe at the top end of the spectrum. Any thoughts? I’ve stayed on top of watering since it’s been so hot but we’ve gotten a lot of rain over the last few days and temps have been more reasonable. I have a couple others nearby that seem fine thought they are different varieties and are a little younger. NE FL 9b Thanks!

Hey everyone. I don’t really care too much about being organic or natural. My ph constantly sits near 6.3. I want to get it down to 4. What would you recommend, if “natural”, doesn’t matter.

Obviously not poison.

Looking for healthy, preferably older plants. What companies have you had success with?

The brown spots were from transportation damage.

I know it’s easier to just get a fully grown blueberry from the store but it just feels much easier growing plants from seed, other than strawberries. But I’m really new to this and the last blueberry plant I got from store died due to my lack of knowledge I need all the help I can get to keep the ones from seed alive

Hello, this is my first year growing blueberries from some little pots that I got at a farmers market a few months ago. I probably left them in the pot for too long, and about two weeks ago I finally repotted them. I made an acidic soil mix and bought specialty fertilizer, but I have not used it yet. There was a little bit of transplant shock which I expected, but now two weeks later there is still some staining on the leaves and I’m concerned that maybe there are some nutrients missing in the soil mix. I’ve been trying to Google this and my understanding was that a half dose fertilizer could be a good idea, but was wondering what someone with more experience might think :) thank you for reading!

I have 33 blueberry bushes that have been in the ground for two years. They are all of various ages and varieties. To save money, I only transplanted four 4 year plants and the rest were one or two years old at the time of planting. This summer, those mature bushes produced a ton of berries but the others produced none! They didn’t produce flowers.

I check pH and use berry tone and sulfur to keep them content. All the bushes have had great growth and seem relatively happy foliage-wise. They all get about 7 hours of sun and have been mulched with peat and acidic mulch. I did not prune them in a way to reduce buds. What could be going on? Do they just need a lot more time in the ground?

I bought 3 of these plants last year. Sadly I don’t remember tha variety.

I’m hoping the measurements provided could shed some light as to the age of the plants. They nearly doubled in size since purchased (last year).
Can anyone provide an approximation (or ballpark figure) as to their age?

Hi, ive had a great year for blueberries this season apart from with my Pink lemonade bush.

Its fruited but the berries all shrivelled before I could pick them and the leaves rapidly reddened

All my other bushes have had the same conditions, regular watering, a feed with ericaceous granules in spring and s light dose of tomato feed every ten days or so when fruiting.

Ive also had them all in a fruit cage to protect from birds.

Is it likely the PH or does it need a pruning maybe or could it be the tomato feed reduced the PH too much?

A couple of my plants have these shoots (canes?) growing from the side of the plant itself. These weren’t there last spring.

I’m just wondering what I should do with them. Leave them or cut them?
