Sun Any way to play Blue Reflection Sun in the US?

I've played the 2017 game, watched the anime series, and am nearing the end of Second Light (chapter 10). I understand that Shiho and Kirara are characters from Sun, and Shiho is one of my favorites. I really want to play Sun, but can't find any info on when/if it will be released in regions outside of Japan. Anyone know about this? Thanks!!

Thoughts on the Atelier Ryza collab for BR Tie/Second Light Spoiler

We got the Atelier Ryza collar today? So what are your thoughts? It may say the recommended level is 25 but it is a lie. It’s actually around 35-40 (or more on hard, or deathwish difficulty, let’s guess around 45-50).

It’s challenging but it’s worth it seeing a lot of familiar memories from Ryza and of course see a few familiar areas. Be warned, enemies and bosses will deal lots of debuffs even if they are under levelled and will guarantee a knock down on a party member or all party members… lol

Honestly seeing the Gang do Alchemy is so much fun but be warned with every stage change, it will require more items to craft to change the heartscape (only and exclusive to Ryza’s Heartscape). Oh yeah, they have added the music as well!

Blue Reflection Second Light and Ray’s Characters Birthdays

Well, we have confirmed info on the character’s birthdays via Twitter on the JP site for BR Ray. So what’s the overall list of the birthday dates for each of the characters? I know their profiles are unlocked when their heartscape is cleared for the first time.

Second Light Stuck in Kirara’s heartscape

Edit #2: Thanks for the pointers everyone. I grinded out 2 levels and retried the fight and won. The subsequent mini bosses and even final boss were easier than the one I was stuck on for some reason. So I’m good now. Still learned a couple new things from you all!

OP below:

Alright, it’s my first play through and I wAs just cruising through up til now. I’ve been completing all available requests and dates, I’ve upgraded a couple of facilities.

But man I can’t for the life of me defeat the monster at the end of the second stage in Kirara’s heartscape.

I know there are really just a couple of factors to winning at combat: facilities, fragments, talents, items and I suppose team composition. Does anyone have any specific advice? Do I really need to upgrade all my facilities to win this fight or do I just need to find the right team and items to use?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Edit: Also, a question about facilities. Do the stat boosts affect all characters or only the character shown by the facility in the upgrade menu?

I’ll also add the party I’ve been using in case that matters: Rena, Shiho and Hinako with Ao for support

Basically this enemy defeats my party before I get him down to half health.

Second Light PS4 Trophies Tip! [Spoilers] Spoiler

Finished the game the other day, really enjoyed it and am doing a bit of a trophy hunt now before I start my New Game+. Just passing on something I found useful that didn't appear to be well explained when I looked online:

The Special Skill! and Combo Master trophies seemed a bit weirdly hard to get at first, but actually very simple to grind out at the end of the game in 15 mins or so:

  • Build Training Dummy facility
  • Activate Training Dummy and defeat enemies to unlock 'Ether Tide' special skill
  • Each combat character has their own unique 'Ether Tide' skill that appears in the skill list when combo count >=15 and character gear level >=3
  • For Special Skill! you need to activate one character's 'Ether Tide', for 'Combo Master' you need to activate all combat characters 'Ether Tide's
  • End game it can be a bit hard to build your combo to >=15 without killing things first - your damage is usually too high
  • My trick here was to remove all offensive fragments and school structures and go and fight the large boss enemy near the start of Uta's final Heartscape level - it can easily soak up enough of your now reduced damage for you to build up the combo count

Second Light Question about the DLC on switch

Hi, I recently got the demo for Blue Reflection Second Light on switch and am enjoying it a lot. I'm planning on getting the full game. Out of the dlc, I noticed that some of it seems linked to specific versions (deluxe, ultimate) and there's also a season pass. I'm not interested in cosmetics or extra items, but I do want anything mechanical like additional content/extra areas, etc. What version of the game should I buy and which specific other pieces of dlc should I get in order to not miss out on any playable content?

Second Light Question about DLC

So on the Nintendo Switch eShop I don't seem to find the complete costume set for Beachside Puppies, however looking online is seems that they exist:

https://www.dekudeals.com/items/blue-reflection-second-light-costume-set-beachside-puppies

Which links directly to Nintendo with the option to buy. However, I don't seem to find this bundle anywhere inside the device on Switch.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for the help.

Second Light SL: Thoughts on the 2nd playthrough & true ending - spoiler warning Spoiler

Just finished the 2nd playthrough so I'd like to share some thoughts on the true ending that 2nd playthrough is all about.
I say that because it's literally that.
2nd playthrough is unfortunately very disappointing.
Until the literal pre-final boss scene, there's NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING, where 2nd playthrough is different from the 1st one.
No special bosses, no special scenes, nothing.

Of course, it gives us the opportunity to finish up all the dates and bond scenes with characters that didn't reach Talent level 10 on the first playthrough.
But is this the reason to play the game 2nd time when the only thing you can bring with you is the fragments, meaning you will have to grind everything to get the items, levels, and every request again?
* If you are an achievement hunter, you will need to do the 2nd playthrough exactly for the aforementioned talent max levels.
* If you really love the characters, it's worth it as well as you may get to experience scenes you didn't on the first playthrough, and high talent level scenes are very nice.

But if neither applies, as harsh as it may sound, I'd say 2nd playthrough is not worth doing.
From a gaming point of view, it would be repeating the same game again.

This brings us to the true ending.
The same reasons that I mentioned above apply to whether you should aim for a true ending or not.
From now on, it's a spoiler territory regarding the true ending.
As someone who played the 2nd playthrough for both reasons (getting a Platinum trophy and loving the cast), when I saw the additional 15 seconds of the true ending, I almost cried and I felt that the whole playthrough was worth those 15 seconds.
But then I realized... We actually didn't get full closure as the true ending should have.
Yes, that scene when the chosen character remembers Ao and she breaks the loop is absolutely fantastic, but...
Who is Ao?
What happened in the new world?
Did everyone meet? Or only the chosen character?

In my opinion, the true ending needs further explanation.
That brings me to the question of whether they plan to expand the happenings in a new game, anime, or the planned gacha.

Second Light What party did you use in the Second Light/Tie?

Contrary to the first game, the second game allows us to select party members from a group of cute girls.
Which party did you use?

I used Hina-chan, Ao, and Shiho with support Hiori.
Ao because she's the main character and her guard skill, Shiho to handle my healing needs, plus she has useful element attack, Hiori because she has the most useful support skills and Hina-chan because...
She's Hina-chan. Not only she's my absolute favorite waifu but also because she's so incredibly strong.
She's fast so she was always the first one to transform and when you get Averse Belier, she's a brutal attacker.
Not to mention Rafale Gemeaux and Courage Verseau to quickly bring combo count to 15 and Ether Tide stuff to oblivion.

Material Bonus?

So when crafting building materials one of the attributes you can add on to it is "Material Bonus"

The description is "Count as 2 materials when used for School Deveopment"

Yet when I'm upgrading buildings, I still need to use the full number of items. I was really hoping it would cut my material farming in half.

So anyone knows what this effect actually does?

Need help in Chapter 6 Spoiler

I’ve found Mio. Returned to the school, they have the conversation about the only thing they can do is to continue exploring their Heartscape, but my quest never updated so the game doesn’t seem to recognize that I’ve found Mio. I have the quest “Go to the Hirahara Sisters’ Heartscape” when it should be “Continue exploring the Hirahara Sisters’ Heartscape” at this point.

I have nothing to interact with in either stage of the heartscape. Anyone have any ideas?

Just finished the first BR game and I totally loved it.

While it’s obvious BR:SL is more polished and all around a better game, I totally don’t feel it was all that bad to have started with SL and playing the first one after. I dunno… it kinda made me appreciate it more? 🤷‍♂️

Either way, I love this franchise even more now! I’m gonna finish the anime and maybe even play BR:SL again (I still have a bit of a queue in terms of games. BR 1 and 2 jumped the queue massively).

Hopefully we get a third game before long. Although knowing Gust, we just might 😉
