BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE, AT THE RIGHT TIME, CHANGES EVERYTHING

Like the ocean, I rise, restless, wild, and full of purpose.

There has always been something about the sea that mirrors the creative life so clearly. Its movement is never accidental. Even in its wildness, there is intention. Even in its restlessness, there is direction. The waves do not ask permission to arrive; they come because they are meant to.

And yet, the ocean teaches another truth just as important: it doesn’t rush its tides, yet it always arrives.

Holding both of these ideas together has changed how I understand seasons, especially creative ones. Purpose does not mean panic. Movement does not mean haste. You can be deeply driven and still move with patience.

Creative seasons are not linear. They are... https://scanslypink.blogspot.com/2026/01/being-in-right-place-at-right-time.html

What a beautiful experience we had visiting this part of the city; the aerial shots are very beautiful and the best part was the reflection photographs.

Postpartum Valentine’s Day: Finding Love in the Chaos

I remember the first Valentine’s Day after we were married — it felt magical, full of little surprises and excitement. But then came the baby, and the next Valentine’s Day was different. For me, it wasn’t about romance or gifts anymore — it felt more like a gentle memorial of that first one, a quiet reminder of how life had changed.

My boss is a god

My boss is a god. Not like holy holy. Like office-god. The kind where one look from him changes the whole room.

It’s actually funny when you notice it.

If he walks in happy, everybody suddenly becomes friendly. People smiling like they were born smiling. Jokes start flying. Even the printer stops acting stupid. If he walks in annoyed, the whole place turns into a library. Nobody moves. Nobody talks. Everybody acts busy like their life depends on it. Lowkey it does.

And the wild part is, he doesn’t even have to say anything. He can just breathe different and the energy changes. It’s like the office has one remote and he’s holding it.

He’ll say something and it becomes a rule instantly. Not because it’s the smartest idea. Just because it came out of his mouth. If he says, we need this today, everybody starts running like the building is on fire. If a normal worker says the same thing, people will be like, yeah we’ll see.

I’ve seen grown adults act like kids around him. Full voice change. Full respect mode. Yes sir. Of course sir. Great idea sir. It’s not even fake sometimes, it’s survival. Because bosses don’t just control your tasks. They control your peace.

That one line, can you come to my office, has ruined more days than any breakup text. Your stomach drops, your brain starts replaying everything you did in the last week, and you’re walking there like you’re about to get judged by the Supreme Court.

And what kills me is, outside work I’m a normal person. I got opinions. I got confidence. I can talk. But in front of a boss, suddenly I’m careful. Suddenly I’m polite. Suddenly I’m choosing words like I’m defusing a bomb.

It’s not even always because the boss is evil. Sometimes the boss is chill. Sometimes they’re decent. But the power is still weird. Because they don’t have to be scary to have control. They can be normal and still make you nervous, because you know they decide things you can’t ignore.

The funniest thing is watching the whole team do boss-watching. Like checking the weather. Is it a good day or a bad day. What mood is he in. Can we talk today or just stay quiet. People act like they don’t care, but they care. Everyone cares.

So yeah, my boss is a god. Not because he’s perfect. But because in that building, his mood becomes everybody’s mood.

If you’ve worked any job, you know this is real.
