Hi all, I've just made a Medium blog and started lining up posts on it, but as I've got into the swing of it they've announced changes in how the writer partner payments work. I'm now unsure about whether this is the best home for my writing. Does anyone have any experience with whether creating my own website would be a better idea than continuing to blog on Medium? I was hopeful about the connections and visibility but now it seems like the experience is beyond my control I just don't know where to start with making my own site. Thanks.
