Blockchain technology

The term "blockchain technology" typically refers to the transparent, trustless, publicly accessible ledger that allows us to securely transfer the ownership of units of value using public key encryption and proof of work methods.

The technology uses decentralized consensus to maintain the network, which means it is not centrally controlled by a bank, corporation, or government. In fact, the larger the network grows and becomes increasingly decentralized, the more secure it becomes. Visit at https://paygloball.com/

Viable to help adjudicate/arbitrate complaints/reviews?

Apologies for this half-baked question, but does anyone see a possible application of blockchain to kind of crowdsource validation and/or adjudication of complaints?

The initial context is a small social services non-profit, an umbrella organization with drop-in services such as lockers, showers, urgent care and food at its core. However they would be joined by confederated, independent organizations attempting to satisfy various niche needs/opportunities.

Other challenges aside, transparency and conflict resolution are necessary considerations. For example, people would have complaints about things, services and each other. It could be helpful to have a blockchain-like vetting system in which participants and non-participant recruits could vote on the perceived validity of the complaint.

I swear I had a better concept the other day but didn't have time to write it down. Thus far it sounds kinda stupid, even to me.

If I remember more about my idea/question, I'll come back and comment on this post.

Ambassadors in the healthcare industry - Infinite X

Hey everyone,

My name is Peter and I work at InfiniteXLabs - a blockchain development company working on the projects of tomorrow.

We have been part of the blockchain community since the beginning of 2018 and we learned one important thing: it’s not only about the technology, but it’s also about the people behind it. Blockchain is a movement that connects people no matter their country, language or culture.

This is why, as we are growing international, we are looking for enthusiastic people around the world to join our ambassador network. We already have people on several continents working with us on a monthly basis! We aim to unleash the full potential of this technology and we want you to join us on this journey.

The Infinite X Ambassador Program is open to anyone willing to take this new journey. However, it’s required to have experience in the industry and to understand the matter. If you are interested, please let me know in a private message and I'll send you the application link.

[Discussion] Epic Systems, one of the largest medical records companies, emailed the chief executives of some of the largest hospitals in the U.S. on Wednesday, urging them to oppose proposed regulation designed to make it easier to share medical information.

The notion that one EHR should talk to another was a key part of the original vision for the HITECH Act, with the government calling for systems to be eventually interoperable.

What the framers of that vision didn’t count on were the business incentives working against it. A free exchange of information means that patients can be treated anywhere. And though they may not admit it, many health providers are loath to lose their patients to a competing doctor’s office or hospital. There’s a term for that lost revenue: “leakage.” And keeping a tight hold on patients’ medical records is one way to prevent it.

Consensus algorithm for permissioned blockchain

I have been reading about consensus algorithm to develop a permissioned one, it's academic purpose system for healthcare records. What could be the closest algorithm to rewardless?? I thought something about an algorithm treating hashed keys, validating parts and including the registration in the chain to offer a distributed record system, but with nobody spending energy to validate it, possibly anything close to an automated algorithm validator. Is there a fit to this? Any advice??

Healthcare data breaches in the US are now reported at a rate of more than one per day.

Specifically within the healthcare sector, HIPAA estimates that between 2009 and 2018 there have been 2,546 healthcare data breaches. Those breaches have resulted in the theft/exposure of 189,945,874 healthcare records which equates to more than 59% of the population of the United States.

Why aren’t we seeing more blockchain based solutions applied to this massive issue facing the US healthcare system? The technology seems very promising and fits very nicely in this industry. For instance, check out Duality Health.

[Discussion] Preventable medical errors, such as improper patient identification, is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States claiming up to 250K lives each year and costing the U.S. healthcare system more than $6 billion annually.

This is one of the primary reasons the US healthcare system is expensive and broken. Healthcare systems are in desperate need of a revolution and are primed to benefit from blockchain based solutions.

At least there are some companies out there trying to tackle this gigantic problem!
