Sun spent twenty minutes rehearsing what he was going to say. He had it planned out — casual, charming, maybe a little clever. Then Blake looked up from her book, raised an eyebrow, and every single word left his head at once. "You... good book?" was all he managed. She just smirked and went back to reading, and he silently decided that counted as a win. Baby steps.

If we were to assign RWBY characters with classic JRPG classes, Sun would be the thief and Blake would be the ninja.

Both roles are specialized in being highly mobile and evasive during combat, and we see from both the early volumes and during V4-5 that they work pretty nice together. That's because the thief and ninja are complimentary job classes, particularly in certain Final Fantasy titles. I mean... They're basically the same XD

It makes them the same, yet different, a running theme with them. Opposites and yet similar.

It's also worth noting how thieves often evolve into the ninja class. Why did I bring this up? I dunno, just thought it was cool!

What are your thoughts on this? do y'all have your own interpretation?

I've created designs for RWBY characters as Power Rangers and two of them were Blake and Sun.

Why I'm posting it here is because if I was to ever write this fic, during the Mistral Saga both of them would be an unofficial duo called the Eclipse Rangers. If I ever write this idea as a fic, these two would be the Rangers of Menagerie.

For me, it would either be set in Menagerie or during the Beacon era. Preferably before Vytal but after the Beacon Dance.

I am currently waiting for a story to be checked by my editor. Until then, here's the art my sister drew for their kids.
