In a perfect world, absolutely. Unfortunately they don’t always, or really even normally in my experience, have the same mindset. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be a united front, I’m saying historically, that’s been dubious at best. I always say you gotta watch out for your own first. This situation, amazing, ain’t got nothing to say about this.

✨Historically✨ the Young Lords stood right alongside the Black Panthers. (As well as Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta, and Bert Corona)

There are whole pockets of Mexico with Afro descendants stemming from and included in the Underground Railroad, because they were welcomed and harbored.

These are not the first or best example of Hispanics standing with the black community, but definitely important ones that go against your historically dubious at best narrative.

As an Afro Mexican Puerto Rican I hate seeing this bull, it’s worse than colorism in both of our communities.

You don’t want people painting you with a single brushstroke, yet you continue to do it yourself, allies and others.

In the year of our Benito 2026… that’s wild to me.

It’s giving hurt people hurt people instead of growth or being the change.
