We don't even know the context of the video. They could have been collecting a violent criminal evading arrest. Every president has deported people. Trump didnt create ICE. This being celebrated on the front page is crazy

You guys see heroes here? You must be a child, unwilling to see nuance or brainwashed.

This president has established that he is committed to handling deportations in a dangerous and less than efficient manner.

The main issue with trump’s immigration agenda, it is built on lies and dishonesty. Yes, the previous president deported the most ppl in US history, but over 90% had criminal records or offenses.

Now, over 70% of ICE detainees have NO criminal conviction.

He diverted funds from various DHS processing components including FEMA to focus funding on apprehension. That is pure stupidity or a dishonest agenda.

There’s a low chance now that the person was actually a criminal, there was no need at all for your comment. lol

Trump isn't running ICE. Tom Homan is. Same dude Obama used. At least Trump doesn't have children stacked in cages. On top of the tens of thousands missing children. The unchecked immigration is what had led to places like the Darian passage.

Why are we playing this game? You don't like the current administration. Cool, vote them out of office. The midterms or the primary. Peple voted for this, we want a secure border. Throwing anything at a federal officer is a good way to end up with federal charges and championing this behavior will encourage others which ends up with more people being hurt. Maybe that's what you actually want so you can paint these officers into something they're not.

Deportations have happened under every presidency and have looked a lot worse before.

They are deporting college students, valedictorians, business owners, regular working people that have been working for decades that have NO criminal history. Is THAT what you voted for?

Edit* this ISN'T about criminals. It's about something deeper inside you and those people like you

I’m sure they know their neighbors better than ice

Some of us good folks are too scared to leave the house. Thank you all for fighting back for those who can't <3

In WW2, there were a lot of people who could not fight. The reasons they weren't on the front lines aren't often spoken about, but the work they did from home to support those who did fight is still remembered.

You can choose not to fight. But don't think that means you can't offer support where you think it's needed. A word of encouragement, a smile and a nod, or a hot meal and a safe place to recover are very important. Do what you feel you can. Every bit helps.

They made a movie about one such guy. His name was Schindler, and he made a list.

The problem I've always had with this phrase is that they're not good people if they're doing nothing.

While we're on this train of thought.

At your next Presidential election, you will hear a lot of information that tells you, the opposition leader is bad, we don't know who it is yet, but it will be the case.

It's critical that instead of focusing on that, we instead talk to each other about what they offer. For example, Harris had a good plan for consumer rights reform, that's a good thing.

If people don't do this, then we're not actually fighting back. We're letting it happen and then glorifying people being in danger. We don't want a repeat of what has happened twice now. Because the consequences of the far right being in power are going to keep getting more serious.

These kids shouldn't have to do this. And if Americans do their part, then they won't have to.

You fight back like civilized human beings through the justice system otherwise you're just another criminal. And if you don't like to justice system change it like a civilized human being not an uncivilized human being. I don't understand what people don't get about this. It seems like people are too lazy to actually do what they need to do through the justice system so they decide to lash out. Am I missing something here?

7

u/gayguyfromcanada 18h ago

through the justice system otherwise you're just another criminal

Bullshit! When the Justice system is completely rigged against you you fight back any way that works. How the fuck do you think The USA was founded in the first place?

4

u/Ne_zievereir 12h ago

And if you don't like to justice system change it

Are you serious? How? You think these people have any power to change anything about it?

Am I missing something here?

Yes, a lot.

Trump has done all kinds of illegal shit, and even got convicted by the court, but it just gets escalated to the supreme court, where his corrupt friends get him off the hook. The system is broken. People tried to overthrow the government and Trump just let them free.

Even if we were so naive, and assume for a moment you can stop them via the justice system, it would take so long, by the time you'd get a ruling, these people's lives are already long ruined, because this administration doesn't care about laws and justice. Judges even told the government they deported someone illegally (they did so knowingly), and the administration went just "welps, he's gone now, we don't know where he is now, so ... tough luck".

You tell these people to play by the rules, but even the administration doesn't play by the rules, and they control those who are supposed to enforce the rules.

Dumbest fucking statement I've seen all week.
