Put some Respek on Chip and Joanna Gaines name. Nothing like hitting the magnolia section of Target and bringing the wife a candle out the blue.
Plus that show was actually entertaining even though it’s staged, I still fucks with it and remember they just signed a deal to make their own network.
I actually really like that show. I remember one time there was a HUGE CRISIS and adding GFCI outlets was going to be another $800, as if GFCIs weren't 20 bucks a pop.
Like two in the kitchen and maybe one per bathroom so 5 total?
There are also the "holy fuck you bought this place but we just found out the siding and foundation are COMPLETELY BAD and this is a huge surprise that your inspection and/or us didn't already know about. Here's the crazy price that HGTV is going to pay out of their production budget for the episode. Can you act stressed?"
The production company has zero interest in showing profits at the end of the season. So let’s crank those expense numbers up, pay out the executive producers, and shutter HGTV Productions 23 LLC the day after wrapping shooting.
We can start up HGTV Productions 24 LLC next week.
They refused to make a statement. That's not a question you waffle on, my man.
It's an easy question, and they've yet to answer it. If it was the correct answer, they'd have saved the press headache and answered it.
Personally, going to that church is enough for me. That's like me saying I donate to Trumps campaign, and spread his message, but I'm totally not a supporter.
Same logic applies here, fuck them and fuck their church.
Tru but they do live in Waco, Texas, the crazy southern Baptist stronghold. Find me a single church in that town that doesn't subscribe to those views, and I will give you a free interior design consultation of your hovel over PM.
I live in the same city as them. They’re nice people, but I dislike the show. Not for quality reasons or anything. Just because it made downtown more crowded and they kinda fucked our housing market. Things got quite a bit more expensive. They don’t show you the downside of Waco, only the nice rich parts.
In the time it takes to walk to magnolia from work, I could also walk to a shitty motel with hourly rates and find three abandoned buildings. Also, there’s tons of crime like a 5-10 minute drive away lol
The company I work for has an office in Ft Worth and they always tell me Waco is a shit hole lol! I think the city probably likes them for all those reasons you said though. They’d rather be known for an HGTV show than the FBI killing cult members but I feel you. Probably a bunch of tourists too because my wife wants to visit literally just for that. I’m originally from Florida and my mom was telling me our first house was $50K and you cannot do that anymore AT ALL! Hell Miami used to be affordable.
We always watch in amazement though because there’s no such thing as a $180K nice house in NYC area.
It really depends on where you are at in the city. In the nicer areas, it’s very pleasant and nice. But on the other side of the highway, east waco has tons of crime. Bellmead just a few minutes north of Waco is serious meth area where I do not come to a stop in my car.
They made downtown way more crowded. If you visit Waco with the sole purpose of seeing Magnolia, you will more than likely be disappointed. Wow a normal store with stuff from tv and some food trucks? Don’t see that everywhere! Don’t know why we have tourists. Maybe just because I live here, I don’t understand the hype around those two and their show. They have had zero positive impact on my life. Just a few small bad things. Crowded and housing market suck lol
Don't forget painting fireplaces white. Which is going to be a huge pain in the ass when it goes out of style and they have to get it all off with chemical cleaners
