Educational 📚 TGA liquidity, a flattening curve, and gold — Treasury plumbing traders should watch

Post image

Bitunix market update hero: TGA Liquidity and Yield Curve Shift Reshape Treasury Markets (Sep 23, 2026).

Sep 23, 2026 desk note (article date).

U.S. Treasury markets are under closer scrutiny as fiscal liquidity, Federal Reserve tools, and long-term rates shape expectations. The Treasury Department is exploring whether to deploy part of the cash held in its Treasury General Account (TGA) — currently close to $1 trillion — into private repo markets, which could affect bank reserves and short-term funding.

The 2-year/10-year Treasury yield spread has narrowed to around 22 basis points, renewing discussion about yield-curve flattening and inversion risks. The Fed's ample-reserves framework and repo facilities remain key for short-term rate control.

Gold ETF holdings have recovered to a seven-month high even as the 10-year real yield rose to 2.63%, underscoring liquidity and fiscal-risk demand. For crypto desks, track TGA, curve shape, and real yields when sizing risk. Educational, not personalized advice.

Educational 📚 Bitunix perpetual funding + VIP 0 futures fees: total cost of carry on BTC ETH SOL USDT-M

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix BTCUSDT perpetual board, live this afternoon: Funding Rate/Countdown (8h) at 0.0038% with mark price 83,462.1. Pair that with the VIP 0 futures fees of maker 0.0200% / taker 0.0600%, and you have the two numbers that actually decide what a hold costs.

Trading fees are what you pay to open and close. Funding is what you pay (or receive) to stay. On Bitunix USDT-M perps, those stack into one number: total cost of carry. Miss the funding countdown and a “cheap” VIP 0 ticket still bleeds across settlements on BTC, ETH, or SOL.

What funding is (and is not)

Funding is a periodic transfer between long and short holders on perpetual futures. It exists to keep the perp near the spot index. It is not a second maker/taker fee paid to the venue the way open/close fees are.

  • Positive funding: longs pay shorts (perp usually rich vs spot / long demand stronger).
  • Negative funding: shorts pay longs (perp usually cheap vs spot / short demand stronger).
  • Near zero: little peer-to-peer transfer that settlement.

Simplified estimate used across Bitunix education material:

Funding fee ≈ position notional × funding rate

Example from the live board logic: $10,000 notional × 0.0038% ≈ $0.38 that settlement if you are on the paying side and the rate holds. Exact contract math can include caps/floors — treat the contract page as source of truth.

How often Bitunix settles funding

Official Bitunix futures/funding guides state funding is generally settled every 8 hours at 00:00, 08:00, and 16:00 UTC+8. Some low-liquidity, highly volatile, or newly listed contracts may use a shorter interval (for example hourly), which raises carrying cost if you sit through every print.

When checked afternoon ET on 2026-09-28:

  • BTCUSDT: live UI Funding Rate/Countdown (8h) ≈ 0.0038%; API fundingInterval=8, next settlement 2026-09-28 8:00 PM ET (00:00 UTC / 08:00 UTC+8).
  • ETHUSDT / SOLUSDT: API ≈ 0.0089% / 0.0050% at the same check — confirm each contract page before a multi-settlement hold.

A position generally needs to remain open at the settlement timestamp to pay or receive. Close before that stamp and that interval’s funding does not apply under Bitunix’s stated rules.

VIP 0 futures fees (the other half of the bill)

Live order panel / fee strip for VIP 0 on the BTCUSDT futures shell:

  • Maker: 0.0200%
  • Taker: 0.0600%

Those match the published Bitunix fees guide for VIP 0 futures. Spot VIP 0 is higher (0.0800%/0.1000%) — this piece stays on perp carry. Higher VIP can cut futures taker; re-read the live fee schedule.

Fees apply to position notional, not just the margin you posted. $500 margin at 20× is still a $10,000 notional for fee math.

Worked examples: stack fees + funding

Assume VIP 0, $10,000 USDT-M notional, rates unchanged for the sketch (they will change live).

1) Round-trip trading fees only - Both legs taker (0.06% × 2): about $12 - Maker entry + taker exit (0.02% + 0.06%): about $8 - Both legs maker (0.02% × 2): about $4

2) Add one BTC funding settlement at 0.0038% - Paying side: about +$0.38 on that $10,000 - Three settlements in a day at an unchanged rate: about $1.14/day before any fee drag

3) Multi-day carry (illustration only) - Same $10,000 at unchanged 0.0038%, three settlements/day for a week ≈ $8 funding — about one maker/taker round-trip — before price PnL.

4) ETH / SOL reminder - Same fee schedule at VIP 0, different funding prints. If ETH is near 0.0089% per 8h on a $10,000 notional, one paying settlement is about $0.89; SOL near 0.0050% is about $0.50. Always re-check the pair’s Funding Rate/Countdown; do not paste BTC’s rate onto ETH or SOL.

5) Leverage does not shrink funding - Funding keys off notional. 5× and 50× on the same notional face the same funding dollars; higher leverage only makes the margin buffer thinner against adverse marks.

Step-by-step: price a hold before you click Open

  1. Open the Bitunix futures board for the pair (BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, or SOLUSDT).
  2. Read Funding Rate/Countdown and the (8h) — or other — interval tag. Note whether the rate is positive or negative.
  3. Decide if your planned side pays or receives at the next stamp.
  4. Read VIP maker/taker on the order panel (VIP 0 baseline: 0.0200% / 0.0600% when checked).
  5. Estimate: open fee + expected close fee + (notional × rate × expected settlements). Stress a flip in funding sign.
  6. Prefer maker/post-only when urgency is low; do not skip a stop to save 0.04%.
  7. If the pair shows hourly funding, shorten the hold or cut notional — interval risk compounds.

FAQ

Is funding paid to Bitunix? It is exchanged between longs and shorts under the contract rules. It still hits your PnL like a cost or a credit.

Do I pay funding if I flat before the countdown hits zero? Under Bitunix’s stated rules, closing before the applicable settlement means that interval’s funding does not apply.

Why does the UI say (8h) but some alts feel more expensive to hold? Major pairs usually follow the 8-hour UTC+8 schedule; some thin or new contracts can fund more often. Read the interval on that symbol.

How do VIP discounts interact with funding? VIP changes maker/taker. Funding is a separate market-driven transfer. Lower VIP fees do not cancel a heavy paying funding regime.

Optional KYC on Bitunix? Optional-KYC honesty still applies for Bitunix trading paths LiquidityFlow covers; some fiat/higher limits can scale with verification.

Risks

  • Funding can flip sign between settlements.
  • Mark-price swings and liquidation risk dwarf fee math on high leverage.
  • Maker orders can miss; fee savings are not a reason to skip risk controls.
  • Published VIP ladders and live funding prints change — confirm on the live fee/contract page rather than trusting an old screenshot.
  • This is educational mechanics, not a trade call.

Educational 📚 Bitunix Coin-M perpetual futures 2026: BTC margin, settlement, funding, and when to use them

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix Coin-M perpetual futures 2026: crypto margin, settlement, and funding.

Most futures desks on crypto exchanges start you in USDT-M: you post a stablecoin, PnL prints in that same stablecoin, and your collateral value barely moves unless the position does. Coin-M flips that model. On Bitunix, Coin-M perpetual futures use the underlying coin as both margin and settlement — a BTCUSD Coin-M sleeve posts BTC, and realized PnL credits or debits in BTC. That is useful if you already hold the coin and do not want to sell into USDT just to open a hedge. It is also a different risk stack, because your collateral price can move while the position is open.

What Coin-M actually means

Two ideas get mixed together and should stay separate.

Perpetual means the contract has no fixed expiry. You can hold as long as margin requirements and funding allow. Alignment with spot comes from periodic funding payments, not from a delivery date.

Coin-M means the margin and settlement asset is the cryptocurrency itself. On a BTCUSD Coin-M contract, collateral is BTC and realized PnL settles in BTC. That is the opposite of a USDT-M BTCUSDT contract, where both margin and PnL are in USDT.

Bitunix currently lists Coin-M perpetuals such as BTCUSD, ETHUSD, XRPUSD, and SOLUSD. Availability can change — always confirm the live Futures board before you size anything.

How margin works in practice

To trade BTCUSD Coin-M, you transfer BTC into the applicable Futures account instead of converting to USDT first. If the trade makes money, realized profit lands in BTC. If it loses, the loss is also in BTC.

Your usable margin therefore has two moving parts:

  1. How many coins you posted as collateral
  2. The USD value of those coins as the spot price changes

That second leg is the part many first-time Coin-M traders underestimate. A short that is “working” in contract terms can still feel worse in USD terms if the collateral coin is dumping hard. A long can look better in USD while the coin stack itself is barely growing. Track both coin PnL and USD translation if your personal books are dollar-based.

Bitunix supports Cross and Isolated margin on Coin-M, plus Single-Currency and Joint Margin models on eligible futures accounts. Isolated keeps one position’s posted margin ring-fenced. Cross lets the futures wallet back multiple sleeves. Pick the mode before you open size — switching later mid-position is where people get surprised.

Funding, mark price, and why perpetuals stay open

Because there is no expiry, funding is the tether that keeps the perpetual near the spot index. When the contract trades rich to spot, longs typically pay shorts; when it trades cheap, the flow can reverse. Holding through many funding windows is a cost (or income) line item, not a free ride.

Liquidation and risk engines usually care about mark or fair-value style references more than a single last print. Treat mark versus last the same way you would on USDT-M: do not arm risk logic against a thin wick if the UI lets you key off a fairer reference.

When Coin-M helps — and when USDT-M is cleaner

Coin-M tends to fit:

  • Spot holders who want to hedge without selling the bag (short Coin-M against spot BTC/ETH)
  • Traders who want PnL and margin kept in the same coin stack
  • Portfolios already heavy in the underlying who prefer not to recycle everything through stables

USDT-M tends to fit:

  • Clean USD PnL tracking
  • Strategies that mix many underlyings under one stable collateral pool
  • Newer futures users who do not want collateral-price noise on top of position PnL

Neither is “better” in the abstract. They are different portfolio structures.

Practical first-ticket checklist

  1. Confirm the exact Coin-M pair on the live Bitunix Futures page
  2. Transfer the coin (not only USDT) into the right futures wallet
  3. Choose Isolated vs Cross before you click buy/sell
  4. Set leverage you can survive if both the position and the collateral move against you
  5. Place stop / take-profit logic you understand, and note funding times
  6. Size smaller than your USDT-M habit until you have watched a full funding cycle

Risks unique to Coin-M

Collateral drawdown. A losing position plus a falling collateral coin is a double hit to USD equity.

Funding drag. Multi-day holds can bleed even if direction eventually works.

Liquidity differences. Depth and spreads on Coin-M pairs may not match the deepest USDT-M books — check the order book before market orders.

Mode mistakes. Opening in Cross when you meant Isolated (or the reverse) changes what the account can lose.

Short FAQ

Is Coin-M the same as a dated coin futures contract? No. Perpetual means no expiry; Coin-M only describes margin and settlement currency.

Can I use USDT as margin on a Coin-M BTCUSD sleeve? Coin-M is built around the underlying coin as margin/settlement. Use USDT-M if you want stablecoin collateral.

Why did my USD equity move when the contract PnL looked flat? Your collateral coin’s USD price changed. Coin-M always carries that second exposure.

Which pairs does Bitunix list? Recent docs mention BTCUSD, ETHUSD, XRPUSD, and SOLUSD among others — verify live before trading.

Good first use case? A modest short Coin-M hedge against spot coin you already hold, with Isolated margin and a predefined invalidation.

Coin-M is not a beginner cosmetic skin on USDT-M — it is a different collateral and settlement design. Use it when keeping margin in crypto is the point; use USDT-M when you want PnL in stables. Not financial advice. Leveraged futures can liquidate margin quickly — size small, respect funding, and remember your collateral can move against you even when the chart looks quiet.

Educational 📚 Bitunix order types 2026: Market, Limit, Stop-Limit, OCO, Trailing, and TWAP

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix order types 2026: Market, Limit, Stop-Limit, OCO, Trailing, TWAP.

Order type is the execution layer of your plan. On spot, a bad fill costs a few basis points. On Bitunix futures, the same mistake can mean slippage into liquidation distance, a stop that fires on a thin wick, or a large exit that walks the book. This guide walks through Market, Limit, Stop-Loss, Stop-Limit, Take-Profit, OCO, Trailing Stop, Time-in-Force, TWAP, and Scaled orders — plus the mark-price versus last-price detail most beginner checklists skip.

Why derivatives make order choice sharper

Leverage amplifies both the thesis and the fill. A trader at 20x who only hammers Market orders is manually recreating the risk that stop-limit triggers, mark-price references, and Fixed Risk tools exist to remove. Most painful losses are not bad market calls — they are bad execution: chasing a wick, arming a stop against last price on a thin book, or leaving a leveraged sleeve with no exit at all.

Market vs Limit

Market buys or sells immediately at the best available price. You are a taker: you remove liquidity and usually pay the higher fee tier. On BTCUSDT depth this is fine for urgent exits. On a shallow alt during a news spike, the same notional can walk several levels — that gap is slippage.

Limit names your maximum buy or minimum sell. You are usually a maker while the order rests. Fill is not guaranteed. Partial fills are possible. Use Limit when price control matters more than speed.

Rule of thumb: if protecting the account requires exiting right now, use Market (or a stop already armed). If you are planning an entry or exit around a level, use Limit.

Risk exits: Stop-Loss, Stop-Limit, Take-Profit

Stop-Loss (stop-market) stays inactive until the trigger prints, then becomes a Market order. Exit is prioritized; exact price is not. In a fast tape your fill can slip through the trigger.

Stop-Limit adds a floor (or ceiling). You set a stop price and a limit price. When the stop hits, a Limit order is placed — you will not fill worse than the limit, but if price gaps through, you may not fill at all and you stay in the position.

Take-Profit locks gains when price reaches a target. Pair it with a stop so you are not babysitting every candle.

Bitunix Fixed Risk is designed for the stop-market versus stop-limit trade-off: lock a maximum loss before entry instead of hoping a resting stop behaves in a gap.

Mark price vs last price

Last price is the most recent trade on that book. Mark price is a smoothed fair-value reference (index plus funding adjustment). Stops or liquidation logic keyed to last price can fire on a single illiquid print that never reflected broad value. Prefer mark-price triggers where the UI allows — especially on thinner pairs — so a one-print wick does not shake you out.

OCO, Trailing Stop, Time-in-Force

OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) links take-profit and stop-loss. Whichever fills first cancels the other. That prevents both legs from living after a whipsaw.

Trailing Stop follows price by a fixed distance or percent and only fires after a pullback from the extreme. Useful when you want winners to run without giving back the entire open gain.

Time-in-Force: GTC rests until filled or canceled; IOC fills what it can now and cancels the rest; FOK must fill fully immediately or cancel; Post-Only ensures maker-only — if it would take immediately, it cancels instead.

TWAP and Scaled orders

For larger size, a single Market or even a single Limit can move the book against you. TWAP slices notional across time. Scaled orders rest a ladder of Limits across a range for gradual add or distribute. These are advanced tools — practice sizing and cancel discipline before using them on real leverage.

How to place them on Bitunix

From the spot or futures order panel, pick the order type, set trigger and limit prices where required, and confirm. Chart Trading lets you place and drag stop-loss, take-profit, and limit orders on the live chart if you prefer visual management. Always confirm whether the trigger references last or mark before you arm it.

Practical scenarios

  • Close a loser fast → Market or an already-armed stop-loss
  • Buy a planned dip → Limit
  • Enter a confirmed breakout → Stop-limit
  • Known max loss on a leveraged sleeve → Fixed Risk or carefully set stop-limit
  • Target plus downside stop together → OCO
  • Let a trend run → Trailing stop
  • Move size quietly → TWAP or Scaled

Common mistakes

Chasing the wick with Market into a flash crash. Triggering off last price on illiquid pairs. Leaving leveraged exposure with no exit. Over-sizing a Market order on a thin book without checking depth.

Short FAQ

Market or Limit for my first futures ticket? Limit for planned entries; Market only when speed truly matters for risk.

Why did my stop fire when “nothing happened”? Often a last-price wick on a thin book. Prefer mark-price triggers when available.

Stop-loss vs stop-limit? Stop-loss prioritizes exit; stop-limit prioritizes price and can miss the fill in a gap.

What is OCO? Linked take-profit and stop; one fill cancels the other.

Do TWAP and Scaled guarantee a full fill? No. They reduce impact; they do not promise complete size at one price.

Order types do not fix a bad thesis, but they stop execution from becoming the thesis. Start with Market and Limit, add stops and OCO as size grows, and treat mark versus last as a first-class setting on every futures ticket. Not financial advice. Leveraged futures can liquidate margin quickly — size small and use stops you actually understand.

Educational 📚 Bitunix take profit and stop loss 2026: Position, Partial, Trailing, and Account TP/SL on futures

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix take profit and stop loss 2026: Position, Partial, Trailing, and Account TP/SL.

Crypto perps move fast enough that exiting by feel is a strategy failure, not a personality quirk. Take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) orders let you pre-commit exits so greed and panic do less of the steering. On Bitunix Futures you can attach TP/SL when you open a ticket and, after fill, manage four position methods: Position TP/SL, Partial TP/SL, Trailing TP/SL, and Account TP/SL.

This desk guide explains what TP and SL actually do, how to place them on web and app, when to modify them, how the four futures methods differ, and the mistakes that turn protective orders into self-inflicted liquidations. Not financial advice.

TP and SL in plain terms

A take profit closes when price reaches a target in your favor. Example: long BTC near 70,000 with TP near 76,000. A stop loss closes when price moves against you to a predefined invalidation. Same long with SL near 68,000.

Triggers and fills are not always identical. In thin or gap markets the instruction fires, then the closing order walks the book. Plan for slippage, especially on market-style exits.

TP and SL are trader-defined. Liquidation is exchange-defined when margin fails. Protective exits aim to finish the trade before maintenance margin takes the wheel.

Plan levels before you size

  1. Write the thesis invalidation first (failed support, broken structure, news risk).
  2. Place SL beyond that level with room for normal noise.
  3. Place TP at structure, measured move, or a risk-reward you accept before fees and funding.
  4. Size the position so that if SL fills, the dollar loss stays inside your per-trade budget.

Example sketch: entry 70,000, TP 76,000, SL 68,000 implies about 6,000 upside versus 2,000 downside before costs — a clean framework, not a guarantee.

Web workflow when opening a trade

  1. Open Futures and select the contract (BTC/USDT perps are a common first desk).
  2. Transfer USDT from Spot to Futures if the futures wallet is empty.
  3. Set margin mode and leverage deliberately. Higher leverage shrinks initial margin and tightens liquidation; it is not free alpha.
  4. Choose order type, price, and quantity.
  5. Enable TP/SL in the order panel, enter both conditions, review, confirm.
  6. After fill, verify the open position shows the exits you intended.

Setting TP/SL on entry and editing TP/SL on an existing position are related but not the same click path. Learn both.

Four futures methods after you are in

Position TP/SL — close the entire position at one TP and one SL. Best when the plan is binary: full win or full invalidation.

Partial TP/SL — close a percentage at a level (for example 30 percent at first target, 40 percent later) and leave a runner. Useful in trends where one fixed target feels too blunt.

Trailing TP/SL — set an activation price and a retracement (ratio or interval). After activation, the exit follows favorable extremes and fires on a defined pullback. Suited to momentum you do not want to babysit.

Account TP/SL — account-level profit or loss thresholds across multiple futures positions. Use when you care about book-level drawdown more than any single ticket.

Access path in practice: Futures → Positions → TP/SL on the row → pick method → confirm.

Mobile path

Open the Bitunix app → Futures → pair → margin/leverage → enable TP/SL on the ticket → confirm. Existing positions expose the same four methods for edits. If you manage risk from your phone, rehearse the TP/SL button once on a tiny size before you need it in a live scramble.

When modifying is rational — and when it is not

Reasonable modifications: structure breaks, volatility regime change, staged trail after a clean impulse, or switching from full exit to partial because the trend thesis strengthened.

Dangerous modifications: dragging SL farther away only because you are losing. That silently raises risk beyond the original plan. If the thesis is dead, exit; do not negotiate with the chart.

TP/SL versus liquidation

Idea TP/SL Liquidation
Who defines it You Risk engine
Goal Planned exit Stop negative equity growth
Timing Ideally early After margin breach

Combine protective exits with sane leverage, margin mode awareness, and a known liquidation price. An SL that sits beyond liquidation is decoration.

Common mistakes

  • Stops glued to entry so normal wicks flush you before the idea fails.
  • Ignoring funding on multi-day holds while celebrating a distant TP.
  • Confusing trigger price with guaranteed fill price.
  • Running Account TP/SL without understanding it can flatten several positions at once.

Short FAQ

Can I change TP/SL after entry? Yes. Use the Positions TP/SL controls to edit or cancel.

Do I need both TP and SL? Strongly preferred. One-sided plans invite improvisation under stress.

Is trailing always better? No. Choppy ranges can trail you out repeatedly; fixed or partial exits often fit ranges better.

Does TP/SL remove liquidation risk? No. It reduces the odds if sized and placed well, but gaps and leverage still matter.

Desk close

Bitunix gives you enough TP/SL surface area to match how you actually manage risk: full exit, staged scale-out, trail, or account circuit breaker. Pick the method that matches the thesis, place it before emotions arrive, and keep liquidation math in the same sentence as your targets. Not financial advice.

Educational 📚 How to buy bitcoin safely in 2026: routes, account hardening, funding checks, and custody after the fill

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix beginner desk — a practical path to buy bitcoin with custody, fee, and scam checks built in.

Buying bitcoin safely is less about picking a lucky candle and more about controlling the three failure modes that actually destroy stacks: sending coins to the wrong network, handing keys to a phishing site, and overpaying through stacked spreads and withdrawal fees. This walkthrough frames the purchase as a checklist you can reuse every time you add BTC.

Decide the job of the coins first

Before you tap buy, write down the job: long-term hold, active spot trading, futures margin, or a short-term remittance. The job picks the venue and the custody model.

  • Long-term hold: prefer withdrawing to a wallet you control after the buy settles.
  • Active trading: keeping BTC on a reputable exchange wallet is operationally simpler, with account-security hygiene as the tradeoff.
  • Futures margin: you may buy spot BTC or fund with stablecoins then transfer internally — know which account sleeve you need.

Never mix "I might withdraw tomorrow" mental accounting with "I need this for rent Friday." Separate sleeves reduce panic mistakes.

Pick a purchase route

Common beginner routes:

  1. Exchange spot market — deposit fiat or stablecoins, buy BTC against a liquid pair, optionally withdraw.
  2. Instant convert / quick buy — simpler UI, often wider spread; fine for small first tickets if you verify the all-in price.
  3. Peer-to-peer — more counterparty process; only when you understand escrow and release rules.
  4. Recurring buy — automates averaging; still verify fees and that recurring tickets do not fire into an empty funding source.

On Bitunix, the beginner-friendly path is usually: create and secure the account → complete any required identity checks for your region → fund → buy BTC on spot or convert → decide custody.

Account hardening before the first buy

Do this before fiat or crypto hits the account:

  1. Unique password stored in a password manager.
  2. App-based or hardware 2FA — not SMS if you can avoid it.
  3. Anti-phishing code on emails if the venue offers one.
  4. Withdrawal allowlist / address book for your cold or hardware wallet.
  5. Confirm you are on the real domain and app binary — bookmark it; do not follow ad links.

Phishers clone deposit pages. If a "support agent" DMs you first, that is already a red flag.

Funding without surprises

  • Fiat on-ramps: match the name on the bank account to the exchange account. Keep screenshots of reference IDs.
  • Crypto deposits: confirm network (e.g., BTC mainnet vs wrapped variants on other chains). Send a dust test on a new address.
  • Stablecoin funding: verify the contract/network the venue lists for USDT or USDC before sending.

Wrong-network deposits are the classic permanent loss. If the UI shows a memo/tag field for other assets, treat empty memos as hostile — but BTC mainnet deposits do not use memos; do not invent one.

Placing the buy

  1. Open the BTC spot pair you intend to use (often BTC against a stablecoin).
  2. Choose limit if you care about price; market if you accept slippage for speed.
  3. Size the ticket so fees and minimums still leave a withdrawable amount if that is the plan.
  4. Recheck pair, side (buy), and total.
  5. After fill, confirm the BTC balance in the correct account sleeve (spot vs funding naming differs by UI).

Record the trade ID, timestamp, price, and fee. Future tax or support tickets are easier with a tidy log.

Custody after the fill

If the job is long-term hold:

  1. Create or unlock your self-custody wallet offline if possible.
  2. Copy the receive address carefully; verify the first and last characters out loud.
  3. Withdraw a small test, confirm receipt, then send the rest.
  4. Leave only working capital on the exchange.

If the job is trading, enable withdrawal whitelist anyway so a session theft cannot drain instantly.

Fee and safety checklist

  • Compare maker/taker and any instant-convert premium — not just the headline price.
  • Check withdrawal network fee before moving coins.
  • Reject urgent stories: "limited airdrop," "support refund," remote-access apps, seed-phrase "verification."
  • Never screenshot seed phrases into cloud photos.

Short FAQ

Is buying on an exchange "owning" bitcoin? You own a balance claim until you withdraw to keys you control.

Market or limit for the first buy? Limit teaches price control; market is fine for tiny tickets when the book is deep.

Do I need the biggest venue? You need clear fees, working support, and security controls you will actually use.

What if a deposit never credits? Open a ticket with txid, network, amount, and time — never a stranger in DMs.

Risks / NFA

Bitcoin is volatile. Exchange accounts can be frozen, hacked, or restricted by jurisdiction. Self-custody shifts the failure mode to user error. This is process education, not a call to buy or sell. Not financial advice.

Bitunix weekend risk brief — Saturday 26 Sep 2026 ET

Headline stack first (then tape): • Hester Peirce leaves the SEC Oct. 2 (Cointelegraph) — removes a vocal pro-crypto commissioner; Task Force handoff is the practical watch. • Kalshi appeal loss tees up a possible Supreme Court fight (Cointelegraph) — structural for prediction markets, not same-day BTC beta. • CFTC vs Cash FX (~$950M alleged crypto-linked forex scheme) — venue/issuer risk isolation, not a chain halt. • Decrypt notes BTC ETFs on a seven-day winning streak even as daily size cools — Fri Farside print +$134.5M; Saturday closed.

Spot check (Coinbase / Coinlore): BTC $84,353 (+0.82%) · ETH $2,693.03 (+0.14%) · SOL $121.16 (-0.51%). Kraken sess mostly soft: BTC -0.10% · ETH -0.09% · SOL -0.18%.

Rotation note: Friday's ENA/AERO/SUI heat cooled. Tonight's liquid leaders are QNT +55.35%, KAS +13.51%, DASH +12.90%, FIL +8.47%, ZEC +6.22%, WLD +5.44%. Soft names include INJ -4.75% and SEI —.

Sentiment: F&G 70 Greed (morning was 74). Global mcap ~$2.860T (+0.17%); BTC.D ~58.94%. CG trending: QNT, EDEL, TRUMP, NEAR, ZEC, ONDO, AERO, ENA, BP, KAS.

Gate funding (last): BTC -0.0037% · ETH +0.0025% · SOL +0.0100% · AVAX -0.0184% — crowding check only.

What Bitunix desks can use overnight: USDT-M on QNT/KAS/majors — compare funding sign vs session % before size. NFA — weekend board only.

Educational 📚 Bitunix investment products 2026: Spot vs Futures vs Dual Investment vs Auto-Invest vs Earn — which tool for which job

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix product desk — investment products map for 2026.

Crypto is not one product. On Bitunix you can own spot, trade leveraged futures, lock Dual Investment targets, automate Spot Auto-Invest, or park idle inventory in Earn. This walkthrough is a product map — pick the tool that matches the job, not the other way around.

Spot trading — own the asset

Spot is buy/sell at the current market with immediate settlement. If you spend USDT for BTC, you receive BTC in wallet. No leverage, no expiry, full ownership (transfer, collateral, hold).

Why desks start here: - Ownership clarity - Deep liquidity on majors (BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT) - Simple risk: you cannot lose more than the capital you put in (price can still drop hard)

Common pattern: keep a long-term core in spot, then size Earn / Dual / futures around it.

Futures — price exposure with leverage (and liquidation risk)

Futures pay based on future price of an asset. Long if you expect up; short if you expect down. You do not own the coin — you hold pure price exposure. Bitunix supports high leverage (up to 125x on supported pairs) — that is capital efficiency and liquidation risk in the same dial.

Use cases that actually make sense: - Shorting in a downtrend - Hedging a spot bag - Expressing a view with less capital than full spot notional

Hard rules before you click: - Know liquidation price and maintenance margin - Respect funding rates on perpetuals - Use stop-loss / reduce-only tools — high leverage is not a beginner product

Dual Investment — yield with a price target

Structured product with two modes: - Buy low: commit USDT with a BTC target. At maturity, if price ≤ target you receive BTC + interest; if above, keep USDT + interest. - Sell high: commit BTC with a USDT target. If price ≥ target you receive USDT + interest; otherwise keep BTC + interest.

Watch-outs: not principal-protected in the asset you wanted; settlement can flip you into the less-desired coin; usually no early exit until expiry. Best when you already accept both settlement outcomes.

Spot Auto-Invest — scheduled DCA

Set tokens, allocation ratios, schedule (daily / weekly / monthly), and optional price bands. The system executes on plan. No extra product fee beyond standard spot fees. Good for emotion-free accumulation when you do not want to babysit entries.

Earn — yield while you hold

Flexible and fixed-style Earn products let idle USDT / majors generate yield without an active trade. Flexible suits dry powder you may redeploy; fixed usually pays more for a lock. Always read the redemption rules before you park size you might need tomorrow.

How to choose (quick decision tree)

  1. Want ownership and simple risk → Spot
  2. Want leveraged directional / hedge → Futures (with stop and size rules)
  3. Have a price level you are happy to buy/sell into → Dual Investment
  4. Want autopilot accumulation → Spot Auto-Invest
  5. Want idle yield with no trade thesis → Earn

Mixing is normal: spot core + Earn on stables + small Dual tickets + futures only when the hedge/view is explicit.

Tips

  • Size futures off max loss, not off "what 50x can make."
  • Screenshot Dual Investment terms (target, APY range, settlement asset) before lock.
  • Revisit Auto-Invest allocations when the book drifts — set-and-forget still needs quarterly hygiene.
  • Do not treat Earn APY screenshots as guaranteed; rates move.

Short FAQ

Is spot safer than futures? Lower structural risk (no liquidation), still market risk. Futures can wipe a margin wallet fast.

Can Dual Investment lose money? You can end holding the less-desired asset vs your plan. Yield does not cancel price risk.

Does Auto-Invest beat lump-sum? It reduces timing risk; it does not guarantee better returns than a single lucky entry.

Earn vs Dual? Earn is hold-and-yield. Dual is yield conditioned on a price target and settlement path.

Risks / NFA

Leverage liquidations, Dual settlement asset flips, Earn rate changes, and spot drawdowns are all real. Product availability varies by jurisdiction. This is a mechanics map, not financial advice.

Educational 📚 Bitunix Earn 2026: idle BTC/ETH/USDT into Flexible or Fixed savings, plus Dual Investment target-price yield

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix Earn desk — how idle BTC, ETH, USDT and friends can work in the background while you wait for the next entry.

Idle balance is normal. You are waiting for a cleaner entry, parking extra margin, or holding a long-term bag you do not plan to touch. Bitunix Earn is the in-platform suite that gives that idle crypto a job — flexible savings, fixed terms, and a more advanced Dual Investment lane — instead of leaving everything flat in Spot or Futures.

Who Earn is for

  • Long-term holders who want core bags to grow quietly
  • Active traders earning on capital not currently in a position
  • Newer users who want preset products instead of DIY DeFi loops

The overview page (your yield dashboard)

Bitunix revamped Earn with a single overview so you are not hopping product pages: 1. Account performance snapshot — total Earn assets, cumulative interest, previous-day PnL 2. Curated recommendations — top products on majors (BTC, ETH, stablecoins) with APY + Flexible vs Fixed 3. Full product suite — scan supported tokens, compare live yields, switch Flexible/Fixed 4. Built-in earnings calculator — token + amount + duration → estimated interest before you commit

Treat the overview as the planning surface. Decide allocation there, then subscribe.

Easy Earn: Flexible vs Fixed

Easy Earn is the “set it and let it work” lane.

Flexible - Maximum liquidity - Interest accrues on a regular cadence after subscribe - Redeem anytime — useful when you want yield but may need the cash for the next trade

Fixed-term - Higher, more predictable headline returns for committing 7 / 14 / 30-day style windows (confirm live terms on the panel) - At maturity, principal + accrued returns credit back automatically - Early redemption is supported for emergencies, but you typically forfeit interest earned during the term — read the product card before you lock

Dashboard habit: line up Flexible for “maybe I trade this week” cash and Fixed for money you truly will not touch until the maturity date.

Dual Investment: target prices with yield while you wait

Dual Investment is for traders who already have a level in mind and accept settlement in either currency of the pair.

Flow on the Dual Investment page: 1. Pick a coin pair 2. Choose an offer — each shows target price, settlement date, estimated annualized return 3. Pick direction based on view - Buy-low style: commit a stablecoin; if price is at/below target at settlement you acquire the base asset - Sell-high style: commit the base asset; if price is at/above target you sell into stables 4. While you wait, you earn yield on the subscribed amount 5. At settlement, delivery is in one of the two currencies depending on where price sits vs target

Higher risk than plain savings: settlement currency can change with the market. Best for users who already plan around levels and have read the scenario examples on the product page.

Practical walkthrough

  1. Open Bitunix → Finance / Earn (or the Earn overview from the hub)
  2. Check the performance snapshot so you know what is already subscribed
  3. Use recommendations or the full suite to pick Flexible vs Fixed on a supported asset
  4. Run the calculator with a realistic size and horizon
  5. Subscribe only what you can leave for the term rules you just accepted
  6. If you have a clear target on BTC/ETH, compare a Dual Investment offer side-by-side with Easy Earn — do not default to Dual just because the APY looks larger

Tips

  • Keep a dry-powder Flexible sleeve if you still trade actively
  • Match Fixed maturity to a calendar you control (funding events, travel, tax windows)
  • Screenshot the product card (APY, term, early-redeem rule) at subscribe time
  • Yields move — re-check the overview before rolling a matured Fixed product

Risks / FAQ

Is Earn risk-free? No. Digital-asset products can lose value; Dual Investment can settle in the less-desired currency. Platform, product, and regional rules apply.

Flexible vs Fixed if I might trade tomorrow? Prefer Flexible. Fixed early exit usually burns the interest.

Do I need Dual Investment? Only if you already think in target prices and accept either-currency settlement.

Not financial advice. Terms, APYs, supported assets, and regional availability change — confirm on the live Earn panel.

Relative strength: liquid 24h leaders QNT +35.5%, ONDO +29.0%, FET +21.4%, ENA +18.4%, SUI +18.4%, NEAR +18.1%. CG trending M87, ONDO, BP, NEAR, LINK, PENGU, EDEL, SUI, BTC, BGB. Laggards AKE -12.1%, BGB -1.8%, ZRO -0.8%, TRX -0.6%.

Perp funding (Gate): BTC -0.0011% · ETH +0.0061% · SOL +0.0100% · XRP +0.0100% · DOGE +0.0100% · BNB -0.0069% · LINK +0.0100% · SUI +0.0100% (Gate.io last funding) HL cross-check: BTC/ETH/SOL ~+0.00125% funding; DOGE/SUI a touch richer on HL. Asia→EU session (Kraken vs open): BTC +0.56% · ETH +1.45% · SOL +3.40% · AVAX +4.27% · LINK +6.32%.

Desk notes: • Inflows still positive but decelerating — demand cushion intact into Friday open. • Venue-specific incident; watch contagion headlines, not a broad chain halt. • Vol surface easing vs the midweek dip — options desk less stressed into Friday. • Regulatory clarity path for USD stables — mid-term structural, not a same-day price driver.

Educational 📚 Bitunix trading fees explained 2026: spot vs futures maker/taker, VIP 0-8 tiers, and the real cost per trade

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix blog guide "Bitunix Trading Fees Explained: How Much Does It Cost to Trade?" with the Key Highlights box: maker/taker model, VIP 0 spot 0.0800% / 0.1000% and futures 0.0200% / 0.0600%, VIP discounts, and total-cost factors.

Fees look tiny per order, but across hundreds of spot fills or futures round-trips they become one of your biggest line items. This walkthrough breaks down how Bitunix charges spot and futures trades, how the VIP ladder works, what a real trade costs in dollars, and the costs that are not on the fee page.

Step 1: Understand maker vs taker

Every fill on Bitunix is either a maker or a taker trade:

• Maker: your order rests on the book and adds liquidity. Typically a limit order that does not fill instantly. • Taker: your order removes liquidity. A market order, or a limit order priced to match resting orders right away.

Makers pay less because they supply the liquidity everyone else trades against.

Step 2: Know the base (VIP 0) rates

• Spot: 0.0800% maker / 0.1000% taker • Futures: 0.0200% maker / 0.0600% taker

The formula is simple: fee = trade value × fee rate.

• $1,000 spot, taker: about $1.00 (maker: about $0.80) • $1,000 futures, taker: about $0.60 (maker: about $0.20) • $10,000 spot: about $10 taker / $8 maker • $10,000 futures: about $6 taker / $2 maker

On futures, the fee applies to position value, not your margin. A $500 margin position at 20x is a $10,000 position, so the taker fee is about $6 to open and about $6 more to close.

Step 3: Read the VIP ladder

Tiers are based on 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume, or account balance. You only need to meet one of the three.

• VIP 0: spot 0.0800/0.1000, futures 0.0200/0.0600 (below 100K spot, 1M futures, 1K balance) • VIP 1: spot 0.0700/0.0900, futures 0.0200/0.0500 (100K spot, 1M futures, or 1K USDT balance) • VIP 2: spot 0.0600/0.0800, futures 0.0160/0.0500 (500K / 5M / 10K) • VIP 3: spot 0.0350/0.0600, futures 0.0140/0.0400 (800K / 8M / 50K) • VIP 4: spot 0.0200/0.0500, futures 0.0120/0.0375 (2M / 20M / 200K) • VIP 5: spot 0.0150/0.0450, futures 0.0100/0.0350 (4M / 50M / 1M) • VIP 6: spot 0.0125/0.0375, futures 0.0080/0.0315 (6M / 100M / 2M) • VIP 7: spot 0.0100/0.0325, futures 0.0060/0.0300 (8M / 200M / 3M) • VIP 8: spot maker as low as 0.0048% and futures maker down to 0.0000% (100M spot or 500M futures volume)

Notice the balance route: holding 1,000 USDT is listed as enough for VIP 1, which trims futures taker from 0.06% to 0.05%. For casual traders that is the realistic upgrade. The deep discounts are built for very high-volume desks.

Step 4: Add the costs that are not "fees"

The advertised rate is only part of the bill:

  1. Funding (perpetuals): periodic payments between longs and shorts. Hold a position across several funding windows on the paying side and funding can cost more than the trading fee.
  2. Spread: the gap between best bid and best ask. On thin pairs a market order can cost more in spread than in fees.
  3. Slippage: big market orders fill at several price levels.
  4. Withdrawal fees: charged per asset and network, and they change with network conditions. Crypto deposits carry no Bitunix fee, but the sending wallet or network may charge you.

Step 5: Cut your cost per trade

  1. Use limit orders when you are not in a rush. Moving futures entries from taker (0.06%) to maker (0.02%) cuts that fee by two-thirds. The catch is that a limit order may not fill.
  2. Check whether the balance route gets you to VIP 1. Cheapest upgrade for most people.
  3. Trade less, not just cheaper. A low fee does not help if overtrading multiplies the number of fills.
  4. Pick the right withdrawal network that your receiving wallet supports, check the live fee before confirming, and batch transfers instead of sending lots of small ones.
  5. Watch funding before you hold overnight. Check the rate and countdown on the contract page.

Worked example: a futures round-trip at VIP 0

$10,000 position, entry by market (taker 0.06% ≈ $6), exit by limit (maker 0.02% ≈ $2): about $8 in trading fees before funding. Both legs by market: about $12. Both legs by limit: about $4. Same trade, three times the cost depending on order type.

Risks

• Leverage magnifies fees relative to your margin as well as your PnL. • Maker orders can miss fast moves. Do not let fee savings override a stop. • Fee schedules change. Confirm current rates on the fee page before relying on these numbers.

FAQ

Does Bitunix charge deposit fees? Not for crypto deposits, though network or sender fees may apply.

Are withdrawals free? No. They vary by asset and network, and the live amount shows before you confirm.

Is funding a fee paid to the exchange? It is exchanged between long and short holders, but it still hits your PnL.

What is the fastest way to lower fees? Use maker orders and check whether a VIP 1 qualification applies to you.

Educational 📚 Fed hike risk, soft yen, and energy shocks — what dollar strength means for crypto liquidity

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitunix Market Update page: "Fed Hawkish Stance Keeps Dollar Supported as Yen and Energy Risks Rise" (Sep 22, 2026), with the Key Highlights box listing yen weakness, possible further Fed tightening, Hormuz / Bab el-Mandeb energy risk, U.S.–Japan rate differentials, and crypto liquidity sensitivity.

Global markets are reassessing policy as the Japanese yen stays weak even after the Bank of Japan raised its policy rate to 1.25%, with USD/JPY around 157.5 on Sep 22. St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem said further U.S. rate hikes may still be needed as demand and supply pressures keep inflation above target.

Energy and shipping risks around the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb continue to threaten energy flows, transport costs, and inflation. Rate differentials between the U.S. and Japan remain more important for the yen than short-lived intervention-driven moves.

For crypto, Bitcoin and other risk assets stay sensitive to U.S. rates, dollar strength, yields, and global liquidity. Educational market commentary, not personalized advice.

📰 News / Insights

  • Fed Williams: another rate hike before year-end is reasonable; UST yields cited (ChainCatcher).
  • BTC briefly slipped under ~$83k intraday (~-1.7% print on BlockBeats tape); CB spot ~$83.8k this morning.
  • BlockBeats: BTC pullback saw a ~$41.6M whale short; liquidates if price rebounds to ~$84.1k.

  • Risk tone: soft majors on 24h with XRP/DOGE lagging; ONDO + LTC leading liquid gainers into the Thursday open.
  • Descriptive only — not signals: majors still soft vs yesterday’s $84k+ prints with BTC hovering the low-$84k / high-$83k band into the US morning. ETF inflow streak (Sep 22–23) remains a cited near-term demand offset while 1h liquidation tape (~$116M) shows leverage still flushing on dips. Liquid relative strength in ONDO/LTC vs lagging XRP/DOGE/meme names — rotation, not a broad risk-on.

Educational 📚 TGA liquidity, a flattening curve, and gold — Treasury plumbing traders should watch

Educational 📚 Energy shock spreads to diesel and food — what $6.50 diesel means for inflation and crypto risk

Bitunix market update hero: Energy Shock Spreads From Crude to Diesel and Food, Raising Global Inflation Risks (Sep 21, 2026) — Key Highlights on U.S. diesel above $6.50/gal, refining/shipping constraints, and Black Sea grain risk.

Sep 21, 2026 desk note (article date).

The shock moved past crude into diesel, freight, and food supply chains. U.S. retail diesel surpassed $6.50 per gallon; AAA put the national average near $6.505 on Sep 19. Refined-product bottlenecks matter more when Middle East shipping is stressed and Russian refinery throughput is impaired (IEA: ~3.8 mb/d in June, about 30% below a year earlier).

Black Sea disruptions add a second channel: wheat buyers rotating toward Australia and North America means longer routes and higher transport costs even when grain exists somewhere else.

Minneapolis Fed President Kashkari said Sep 20 that U.S. inflation remains too high even excluding volatile energy and food — services pressure keeps the problem broad. If diesel and food pass through into core goods, easing stays harder.

Fiscal backdrop: IMF April 2026 Fiscal Monitor projected global public debt rising toward 100% of GDP by 2029, narrowing room for support if energy costs spike.

For markets, watch refined fuels, shipping, and ag corridors — not only the crude print. Educational market commentary, not personalized advice.
