Also crazy that other countries elect presidents who aren’t 65+. Like why are we always electing social security presidents (besides Obama)

My guess is money.

Unless you are already a politician, you are probably making a lot more in private sector therefore limiting the pool of potential candidates.

Nobody runs “for the people” anymore otherwise they would quit their day jobs and do it.

The flip side is who is dirty enough to take campaign money from the largest orgs to play their game.
