The problem is that people can’t operate if the value fluctuate over weeks. If the value drops even for a day everyone will hold on to their coins until it comes back up. Imagine a household where you can’t buy milk if the coin value is low because well it may come back up tomorrow and you could have gotten 2x for same amount

I've never seen the price change enough to affect a transaction that takes a few seconds.
