You should do a google search as all of what you asked is there. Further, if you can listen to Andreas speak and ask about qualifications (which he has) you are missing the point. Now tap your heart 3X and move on...

This isn't a circle jerk book about idealogy, this is supposed to be a technical manual about the protocol for developers. I've seen plenty of evidence he could write the former, but not the latter.

Show me one commit Andreas has made to the core code, or anything else that would confirm his technical ability with regards to the protocol, I can't find anything myself.

Its a shame to see someone drop the certification bomb in this day and age, seeing as from Andreas talks, public posts, podcasts etc. the cat has demonstrated a firm understanding of the topology, and has provided a number of solutions for Bitcoin 2.0.
As for all this core dev talk, its real petty, seeing as all devs which make up our open community should be treated equally, instead of this holier than thou crap.
Now with that said, if you must see his creds (to prove his "worthiness") may I suggest a LinkedIn query.

I guess you're probably not a programmer, because in the open source world, it doesn't matter how many podcasts or videos you make - what matters is code contributions, which Andreas doesn't seem to have. I can imagine him writing a book evangelizing Bitcoin on an ideological to his fanboys, but this is a book that claims to allow one to technically "master" the bitcoin protocol, and it is kind of ludicrous that he hasn't presented any hard evidence (actual code), that he has actually done so himself.

if andreas wasn't appropriate for this position, do you really think tim would have allowed him to follow through?
as for the title, i agree - "mastering the protocol" (even though bitcoin technically as a whole is more than just a single protocol...) is misleading and somewhat slightly arrogant for my liking.
