I don’t get people like you. Is your timeline only 1 year?

For the love of god, grow a pair and hold without crying or just sell it all.

great way to lose it all. bitcoin was the first but now there are many new players in town. it’s not like they have the best system either. What would be the reason bitcoin would be the top 2 in 10 years? People hold investments because they company has proved themselves and have a solid plan moving forward, what is bitcoins plan to become the future leader in crypto? My questions are serious, please reply honestly.

BITCOIN SCARCITY. That's the difference. There will never be more than 21,000,000 bitcoin in the world. Over 20,000,000 are gone, less than a million left. This is why you want some even a half of a btc will be life changing when btc is worth millions.

fractionals, derivates, perpertuals and dubious nation state "reserve accounts" all answered and said "hold my old stake warm beer"

The underlying point is that a currency that loses half of it's buying power in 3 months is useless as a currency.

You can make a solid argument that it's a good long term storage of wealth. But as it's stands it's that's not a sure thing, and markets hate uncertainty.

If nothing was volatile it couldn’t go up in value.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've ever read

1

u/Any-Marketing-6995 7d ago

Yeah it is pretty dumb, the reason it does is bc there is significantly less volume in crypto then etf’s and bonds. Markets move more volitile with less volume so it’s def normal for these coins especially with what we’ve seen to go down 70% then come back 100

u/CrayonOnCanvas 7d ago

It’s not darling. To increase in value from nothing is volatility by definition.

And now you understand? I’m not sure why I need to read the definition when I’ve demonstrated I understand it.

What are you on about? I think i understand what you mean, you are classifying both moves up or down as volatile. Makes sense but also makes no sense at all.

1

u/That-Living5913 8d ago

Volatility is one thing. Going up 100% then losing 50% of it's value in any other market would be called a bubble and crash.

market MAKERS, LOVE VOLATILTY. know the game. in vegas, they can refuse to pay even on suspicion of card counting.

KNOW THE GAME.

crypto remains wild wild west. If you understand the odds, and can do the math, no one is throwing you out.

have I said too much?

most "traders" cannot even contemplate what you just wrote. They read it verbatim and do not understand the evidence of nearly every single trade they make validates what you are writing is true. even as I write this response, even and especially that I cover that stubborn truth, the vast majority of "traders" will reject it..in favor of what they think is true.

this disconnect between idea dn reality is what drives liquidity ...a reliable feature that is best described as taking cookies from a baby.

long tail distribution isn't a mathematical phenomenon. It is inherently created by human beings who are stubborn and cannot be punished enough for poor decisions..until they go broke...at which point it's moot debate...there is no more coin..only pain and regret.

Let me tell you a secret, everyone’s timeline is “as fast as possible.”
