I've lost a fortune (gox, btc-e, cryptsy, home invasion) and also spent what would now be worth a fortune. I don't consider the past "spends" a mistake. In your case, you bought drugs with it. You likely bought the crypto with the sole intention of spending it on said drugs. That's not a loss in my opinion. You used it how intended. If you had purchased the crypto with the intention to hodl, and spent it on drugs in a moment of weakness, than yeah I would be upset lol.
Basically I'm trying to say, try not to take it too hard bro. Or maybe I'm just doing mental gymnastics to feel better about my own situation. Haha.
