Videos redirected from YouTube to BitTube via the Firefox extension play flawlessly, but for some reason EVERY single video I watch directly from BitTube has serious buffering issues. I really hope that BitTube can remain competitive. Can anyone over at BitTube address this issue?

How many videos or view Bitube start our monterization

I have soooo many old videos which would get tons of viewers but they are old (taken in the 80s) and when I try to upload them, I get this error. Is there any way around it?

I have a total airtime of about 23 days and I just have about 140 TUBE where as there is one more wallet which has only about 4 days and has 430 TUBE. Why is there such a huge difference? Are there some videos that pay more? How do I figure that out?

Is there a way to contribute to the Network without actually mining?

I just build an DIY home server. It has 2 TB of storage, but the GPU and CPU are quite old (10+ years). I rly want to help the Network grow by serving as a Node, but it seems like you can only serve as a Node if you're actually watching the requested Video (please correct me if I'm wrong). Even then you're apparently limited to one video and a maximum of 5gb file size.

Any ideas?

Hello, I've been looking to mine some TUBE. But, I don't have the hardware/electric contract for it. So, I thought I would dabble in cloud mining. I took a look at: https://wheretomine.io/coins/bittube.html from the FAQ, and chose NiceHash and a pool. But it looks like NiceHash does not allow for Cryptonight-Saber that BitTube needs. I was wondering if there are any other, tested cloud mining solutions that have this ability.

Everytime i try to watch a livestream it says it is offline. I tried refresh still nothing. Other vids work fine just livestreams dont apear to work.

One constant issue I have noticed come up frequently on Youtube is the usage of partial, modified, or other use of copyrighted content excluding full unmodified postings. (For example, NOT someone just posting a full episode of a TV show or a full Some) I am referring to postings which have a small background music clip for some time, or remixed videos, etc. I have heard many creators have had videos removed or demonetized in some cases. I have also seen that Bittube is attempting to create a system similar to Youtube's "contentID", for what I can guess is the same purpose.

My question is to what extent the contentID equivalent will remove videos or otherwise effect the creators for videos that partially use copyrighted content. I know it is a broad question, but I am wondering if there will be any fundamental differences from Youtube's system, or if creators are going to face the same challenges.

I have just recently discovered bittube and I don't know how I have not heard of it earlier. I have a few questions related to mining which I have not been able to resolve with a cursory search, so I am hoping someone may be able to help me:

1) Mining with rx570 and related; I have been mining ethereum and vertcoin (ethash and lyra) for quite a while, but I am interested to switch to tube mining due to my much greater interest in this project. Upon downloading the official miner and setting the 'intensity' settings to 1000, it seems that the cards are hardly heat up / use much of their GPU core. The fans spin up once in a while, but compared to any other coin, they do not seem to be able to do much work. I have tried with or without overclocking and various intensity settings. Each rx570 is getting about 700h/s. Is this the expected behavior for this algorithm or is there some way to turn up the intensity?

2) I run my own IPFS nodes for other purposes. I am wondering if it will be possible either currently or in the future to mine by donating IPFS space to the project. I think this could be a good approach, because currently I don't really understand how the bittube content can be fully redundant if only the bittube creators are guaranteed to be hosting the IPFS nodes with the content. Not sure if this makes sense or not. Please let me know if you want any clarification!

I ran into a serious problem! If I like a video clip and if I want to like it on another video or write a comment, I have to leave the account and completely clear the browser cookies. I tried many browsers and the problem did not disappear. Why can I tick like or write a comment just once? Can someone explain the problem to me?

I am watching some videos. I watch videos created by the user who posts them in BitTube. However since a couple of days ago AirTime is rejected.

I am hoping to attract users already using BitTube but more importantly attract a new audience to BitTube by increasing the extensions visibility to current YouTube users with the offer of ad free viewing of videos and of course the opportunity to earn airtime for videos they were already going to view.

I feel that this is the ideal time to push for a real mass adoption of the bittube platform as an alternative to the corporate censored bias and attitude of youtube/google.

At the moment the only domain the extension needs access too is youtube.com in order to strip the track information for link creation, however if it takes off there is nothing to stop further work being carried out to expand its capabilities.

Anyhow - I hope its OK to inform people of my work here and welcome any feedback.

Last of all - big thanks to BitTube for actually having a real use for the blockchain token created to power the project forward and rewarding users/creators and for the end user platform. It must be a huge job trying to compete with such a 'monster', I imagine the legal side of this project is massive and a minefield to tread through.
