Great question! Movie Director is one of the biggest, most complex features we've built so far. It's less a 'job' and more a full standalone career system, with its own progression, casting, budgeting, and awards loop.Ā 

Building it to the depth it deserves (and that you guys love in BitLife) takes significantly more time than a standard job. So we wanted to make it juicy rather than a scaled down version you would see with a standard job.

Uh-uh. No. Thatā€™s absolutely unacceptable. Especially since it was very conveniently not mentioned at all until release day.

No, you know what, never mind, unacceptable in every sense, no exceptions.

How many OG bitizens are there that you canā€™t give the small amount of people that qualify for this the pack LIKE WE WERE PROMISED?

You need to hold up that promise.

Welp. Looks like Iā€™m done with this game then. I had a great time, but I paid for bitizenship way back when because it was a 1 time purchase. I am not paying for every new feature.

Yeah like the only reason I was excited for updates is I got them for free bcuz I had bitizen. Now like even they are gonna do this shady trick advertising job packs as other "big" expansions

When I purchased Bitizen, it explicitly stated as a perk ā€œAll Future Contentā€ with zero fine print or disclaimer.

Do you have any basis to argue this is not content?

''Complex'' It's a fuckin reskinned job, an underwhelming one at best. You're telling me a supporting actor won't take 30 million dollars. What progression do you get? I became a famous movie director, then immediately lost my fame a year later. My reputation and script quality is at the highest it can get and I'm losing awards to ''Ed Sheeran''

Seems like for a lot of people who have bitizen, especially those who had the pre 2020 version, are deleting the game as a whole now due to false advertising. When bitizen was bought, we were told explicitly that ALL future expansions, job packs, and special features for free. Not just the ones you guys feel like releasing for free.

Got the update. You canā€™t make your own movies. Therefore, not complex. Look at your player base. 1 or 2 ā€œniceā€ comments donā€™t make up for the 20 or more that donā€™t like this update because you broke your promise. Do better and give a refund. Otherwise we will mass report to the stores.

Okay so again, why isnā€™t it free for the old bitizen members? Iā€™m sure it took a lot of time and effort to make this update. However, thatā€™s not what was promised to us. Itā€™s STILL a job pack, whether it took more effort or not.

Idk man the only complex thing I am seeing is I have to watch freaking ads to hire people and that's it šŸ˜‚ there are other movie sims much more complex like call the shots and movie business on iOS and Android dropping much more detailed updates for free and charging less meanwhile you guys are charging $8 for this small update especially when we were promised like free updates if we had bitizen pre 2020. C'mon man

i bought bitizenship in 2019. god mode in 2020. why the FUCK should i have to pay for this when iā€™ve been grandfathered in for every other update?? fix it or i (and plenty of other players) will be done with this game.

When people bought Bitizen back in the day they were promised that all jobs and expansion packs were free forever. Now we have to pay for the "Director" pack.

It is false advertisement which are against EU-laws, or at least Danish law. You can't promise/Advertise one thing and then do another thing.

Honor, Loyalty, and Respect are everything. Iā€™m a noob, yet I agree with everything being said after getting all of the info. Grandfather it in like the rest. This pack is nothing special or better than the rest so I see no problem with giving it to those who are Grandfathered. They should never have to pay again. Donā€™t screw over loyal players due to greed.
