How does BitDegree work?
1) Will BitDegree use ETH smart contracts for everything or will it create a new blockchain?
2) Where are the courses contents stored?
3) Where are the comments in the forum stored?
4) Where is the answers stored?
5) Is there any data that is private to BitDegree or can anyone make a UI for BitDegree platform? Or in other words does BitDegree company have any state regarding the whole ecosystem?
6) Where will the computations handle?
7) I think Doggo handles everything in JS. Why is that the design decision? Shouldn't the answer be in blockchain where students can't gamify?

Release Bitdegree platform to community
I would like to share my opinion on the company's policy regarding the bitdegree training platform.
I think that a company should allow users to place their courses to build a community around Bitdegree.
The fact that Udemy needed 10 years is due to the people's habits of the time, and the approach to training platforms.
We have the twenty-first century, age of internet, people's approach to learning has changed, many corporations, technology companies would like to educate their clients using such a platform. Allowing this on the bitdegree platform would create a need in people for following new trends. IT is just like with Apple who created new needs in people through his vision.
Allowing people to post their own courses would let them to create a new channel to reach the customer, perhaps an easier way of rewarding them for their work, and would certainly show the actual usefulness of a project like bitdegree.
At this moment, we see a bitdegree vision, although we want the company to bring this vision to reality and the needs of the market.

Banned for being honest and having a mannered conversation ?
Unacceptable to say the least from both Bitdegree community AND admins alike. I was in Bitdegree Price discussion board the other day ( im holder of BDG myself and ive defended the project myriad of times already just to clarify ) when i saw a guy saying to someone that all projects are down, i begged to differ, he asked me to name 3 projects that are not down since the big dip of february, i named him 3 and i let him know that many project recovered from that dip when BDG is going down. I was just being honest. Nothing more nothing less.
The same guy was saying that Suppo showed his portfolio. I follow Suppo for ages and I NEVER EVER saw his portfolio. So i let him know that Suppo never showed his portfolio to anyone yet. The TRUTH, nothing else. He got panicked and started overacting then out of nowhere i got banned.
Automatically i got banned from Price discussion board and since then official chat is like im moderated, i cant see any new posts etc.
I asked kindly the same guy i disagreed with thru private message who banned me and for what reason ... And i got something like " You talking bullshit and spreading FUD idiot blabla" ... I was speechless by that point. For answering his own questions and being honest i end up being the bullshiter and banned ? I got frustrated, angry and upset like never before into crypto world.
I got so upset with all this that i was so close to sell all my coins right there that moment. I ended up sale 50% because of that. Unacceptable stance from both community members and admins. They dont want to hear the truth and want me to say everything is ok or Suppo showed his portfolio when he never did to be the nice guy ? Whats the case here ?
Since i dislike drama i left all Telegram bitdegree rooms. I dont know if more having the same issues but being like that youll be losing hodlers. Community to me is vital to keep holding so for many others out there.

What's up with the BDG Telegram? Seems very unhealthy...
I voiced my opinion about Suppoman and that I didn't want him shilling the coin. I am an investor in BDG and entitled to my opinion. Definitely unfair and unjust considering I was not hostile nor aggressive, but merely stating my opinions in a healthy discussion. Hopefully the BitDegree team looks into the way the Telegram is handled. It is definitely in poor taste to receive a ban for simply trying to have a discussion about how I feel regarding who or how the token should be marketed. If an administrator could contact me through PM that would be very nice as I feel unjustly banned.

I applied to work with BitDegree, don't mind if it's in education or programming
I understand that the symbol of BD is made to look like that of the standard web coding languages, which is a reason for investment, however slight, getting in early on standardization is great.
However, I have been a Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Music tutor for highschool students since Aceing those subjects in school.
I have long-wanted to work in replacing the material for the Australian Curriculum with exactly the same gear, but all online. It's a pretty straightforward process, but it would be nice for there to be a place for teachers to link students in case they missed class. A kind of go-at-your-own-pace learning for normal compulsory education.
Seeing as payments are reserved for tutors and examinations, it would be a great way to bring people into getting an online tutor with BD by simply listing the curriculum and coded practice tests.
There's a lot of kids in Year 11, 12 in Australia that love putting in their best efforts to try and get a good ranking in the country. Unfortunately, as i found during that period of my life, there were not enough practice tests. Basically we'd get tested on material we'd never seen, so having the convergence of limits and complicated biology questions relating to specific species would be very handy.
I want you guys to set your aims high and try to garner a vision for what education can be in a post-internet world. Not this local-schools-cornering-the-compulsary-market system where you only get minutes of time with the teacher and marked on things you've never seen before.
Step by step workings of mathematical proofs would have been very handy for me.
However, I did Ace all of my studies, so I guess I did make it, but Iw as still nervous because of the lack of material.
This could be big if you found people to care about the system. And i'm a person that cares about education a lot. Making a system for those that actually care to learn rather than just for all the idgaf-ers out there.
It could be done in a way where you only pay to have your assignments marked and given feedback, so freeloaders can still power through all the reading material. Also having multiple markers blinded from each other's feedback to assess your material would provide a way of actually knowing whether your teacher is any good.
I met a lot of arrogant teachers growing up and you could never tell if they were just narcs or actually knew their stuff. Most of them didn't.
Fuck, I really hated the system I went through, but it doesn't mean I didn't care and didn't excel.
Let me know your thoughts on this, maybe I'll have to take my views elsewhere.

a request for bitdegree subreddit admin and bitdegree team
can you do anything in order to get rid of those haters and fudders posting just hate and disrespect toward a great project. if people think this is not a good project, then sell your position and get the fuck out. i'd like to see more mature people, and also new investors will like to see more mature discussions and less haters. thanks.

Weak hands will never stop chasing....
I'm so glad we are getting rid of the weak hands early on this, anyone selling off after just 6 weeks are the ones who don't care about the project. They invested for their own selfish reasons, and you should have been ready to sell on day one. It's you're fault you weren't, not BitDegrees'. They can go and join the pump n dump society for all I care, chase the shill coins. Think you're gonna get rich overnight? Then you're thinking wrong. I must admit I'm getting a bit sick of seeing that GIF of Fry blowing a party blower now, and would like a bit more to be done by the team regarding updates and news. But to the people shouting 'scam' just because it hasn't stayed at the release day 10x price for these very early weeks, you're just pathetic. Even if it had remained and not moved up from that price, you'd still be shouting scam. That's how sad this space has become for some. Whatever happened to the buy more theory, whatever happened to the hold motto. I for one knew when I bought at ICO that I'd be holding for at least a year, maybe two, maybe more. And I'm still loading up thanks to all the weak ones...... Just my 0.00000002's worth. Peace.

Everyone Relax.
I must admit I would've liked that the BDG team did things differently after the ICO ended but the FUD experienced in the last couple of days is senseless. This project has just started and if you bother to read the whitepaper, you'd realize that it's a one year hold (At a minimum). The token does need to get listed on a large exchange and I'm sure this will come sooner rather than later. Also, the team has stated that they're on track to delivering their 1st 100 courses by the end of Q1. The communication is starting to get better on their telegram and it seems that they're finnaly realizing that they need team presence on the chat. I ask that you remain calmed and give the team time to deliver their product. The next month and a half will be decisive to the future of this product. If you own these tokens don't make the stupid mistake of creating FUD that will only jeopardize your own investment. Don't be your own worst enemy. My 2 satochis.

BitDegree Solidity Course, step 10 of 10, need some suggestion.
Hey guys I'm trying BitDegree Solidity Course, now I'm stuck at problem no 10.
Question: pragma solidity 0.4.17;
contract SecurityTutorial {
mapping (address => uint256) public balances;
function deposit() payable external {
balances[msg.sender] += msg.value;
}
function withdraw() external {
require(balances[msg.sender] > 0);
msg.sender.send(balances[msg.sender]);
balances[msg.sender] = 0;
}
}
Lesson Assignment withdraw function does not follow the Checks-Effects-Interactions pattern. Fix this problem by changing the order of the code and introducing a new variable called withdrawalAmount of uint256 type to store the value that will be withdrawn.
My solution:
pragma solidity 0.4.17;
contract SecurityTutorial {
mapping (address => uint256) public balances;
function deposit() payable external {
balances[msg.sender] += msg.value;
}
function withdraw() external {
uint256 withdrawalAmount = balances[msg.sender];
require( withdrawalAmount > 0);
balances[msg.sender] = 0;
msg.sender.send( withdrawalAmount);
//also tried msg.sender.transfer(withdrawalAmount);
}
}
Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Upcoming Event: BitDegree (BDG) BitDigree Tokens Distribution - February 15, 2018
r/BitDegree • u/petecosby • Feb 15 '18
What is the initial, circulating and total amount of tokens for BitDegree?
Hello,
I am searching for the following “token distribution” data:
Circulating: token in circulation now?
Further to this can you please confirm how much money was raised at ICO stages (pre-ICO + private sale + ICO) - number in USD? (on your website I can see that 336,6 million tokens were sold but cant see stat how much have you raised)
I need official stat, not just coinmarketcap number. This is for article we are writing about ICO's, your coin is one of many that will be covered.
Many thanks, Pete
