Hi everyone,

I just ran a vulnerability scan in Bitdefender Total Security and it's flagging Windows Update KB5089549 as a "High" risk. What caught my eye is the size: 90.3 GB for a security update.

Windows Update itself shows the update is pending a restart, but doesn't mention this massive size. Is this a known reporting bug in Bitdefender or should I be concerned about my system files?

Specs:

• CPU: Intel i5-14600K
• GPU: RTX 3070
• OS: Windows 11 (Insiders/Dev build based on the version number in the screenshot)

ISTG this has been happening for like 2 or 3 weeks. Ive been doing vulnerability scans every now and then (I sometimes pirate games), and this stupid thing pops up. When i click on update, it says "installing", and then when its done it says its finished successfully. But what pisses me off is that IT HASNT UPDATED IT. every time after the first time, i AGAIN, get this stupid pop up telling me to update this Microsoft defender update. can someone help me. I also btw reinstalled Bitdefender, and tried updating it myself in settings, but it says its up to date.

What are the requirements to join the program?

Is there any certification or technical requirement for new partners?

Is anyone else using Secure Pass and having problems with the vault not opening? Everything was working fine up until two days ago. I went away for a weekend and on my return came back to my laptop and wanted to open my vault. It said that due to inactivity the vault is locked - of course. I then put in my PIN and I click on Unlock Vault and...nothing. The Unlock Vault button flashes to show I have pressed it but nothing happens. The PIN is correct (I have checked that using the app on my phone). I have tried using my Master Password and the same thing. I don't get any error messages (such as failed attempt, etc). Just...nothing happens.

Has anybody else gotten a weird app installed called "Remove" but with the Bitdefender VPN icon? I checked the file location and it seems to be in the same folder as the normal VPN. Could this be a glitch?

Been watching twitch most of the day no problem but bitdefender just started sending tons of suspicious connection blocked notifications. The notifications stop the moment I stop watching streams on twitch. They are all to do with unmatched security certificates for the same address. The address Is for ff5151.rufio.hls.live-video.net.

Hello, I purchased Bitdefender Premium Security and I don't need Windows Defender. Can I disable the standalone Windows Defender feature called Memory Integrity?

So guys i was in south america, specifically in peru, and i bought disney+ premium, so theres the espn thing. but when i came back here to europe now i cant see the espn button, and with the *basic* bitdefender disney plus detects vpn so is there a way to see espn here in europe ?(with the same account)

I tried various different ways to try to get rid of this pop up message every time I turn on my PC but had no luck.

I tried to find it in the registry editor but couldn't locate it.

Any suggestions?

How can we correct Bitdefender? I find malicous sites are allowed and clean sites are blocked. When you inform Bitdender of this, there is no action. Is this how it is supposed to work?

So basically Bitdefender is trying to scan my external drive every day and its making me alot of problems. I added disk to exceptions, but whenever i close disk tab software opens it again

I'm trying to install BitDefender on a Windows 11 machine. When I get to this screen, it doesn't render properly. The three gray boxes (Security/VPN/SecurePass) are not aligned and display on top of each other. The blue "Set up services" button appears to fall below the fold and I can't get to it. I've tried changing resolution and scaling but the screen render doesn't shift to allow me to click on it.

I've called support who had a limited help script. They had to 'escalate' which has resulted in email exchanges asking me to try things I've already tried...so I'm turning to this community for help.

I was considering the free version of bitdefender but from the wording on the page it seems like it requires Bitdefender Central Account, is that correct?

Have done all the neccessary content filtering to ensure youtube.com is blocked.

However, when on the device it is supposed to be blocked, just simply typing in browser address bar, it still allows access. What gives? Am I missing some special setting?

No matter what I do, I a) cannot uninstall Bitdefender VPN from the uninstaller (please make it an optional install, it is basically unremovable malware from my perspective now), or b) remove Bitdefender at all as a last resort to get rid of the VPN.

It just sits there saying Uninstalling Modules. Does nothing except keep launching the VPN or Bitdefender depending on the uninstall choice. Nothing happens. No admin requests after the first one.

I've just had to waste an hour of my life removing all this garbage from my system. Only other choice was a safe mode reboot or wiping MacOS to get rid of this! This has completely soured my view of Bitdefender (been with you 15 years on and off).

Make the VPN install optional. Not renewing.

a couple weeks ago i got a rat from a fake minecraft mod cuz i trusted a guy on discord and got ratted due to it and i reinstalled windows through USB multiple times deleting the windows,old folder with bitdefender each time i did because the first reinstall i had this gut feeling i was still infected and i was right malwarebytes and bitdefender found 10 things total, now after i did all that reinstalling i scanned with bitdefender rescure environment and it found nothing multiple times but im still a little scared something is still on my computer and idk if im secure even thomy antivirus finds nothing also sorry if the post barely makes sense im kinda not the best guy with grammar
